A truly one of a kind place- just amazing! My fairly anxious dog thrived there on a month long board and train- and came back home being able to walk loose leash for the first time ever. Listens better to our commands- and just finally seems really relaxed! Dancing Creek worked wonders with him! Cassie was a top notch trainer.Owners and staff are all compassionate dog lovers, plus have decades of experience in dog boarding, training, and canine nutrition. My dog came home looking and feeling great! Facility is clean, and well kept! And such a great layout for the dogs- especially love the big pasture where they can run and play !!Even though it is a few hour trek for me to get there—I would never board my dog with anyone else. Well done, Dancing Creek Farm!!

Dancing Creek Farm was a true life saver to our family, providing a safe, loving and happy home for our lady Kona during a difficult transition while we relocated homes. We are so grateful for the amazing staff of DCF who constantly kept us updated with pictures, videos and messages. Dancing Creek Farm is a truly unique and amazing place.

Our dog Archie boarded at Dancing Creek Farm long term. I learnt to trust them to take care of dogs in most excellent way. We could always reach out to them to see how things are and got photos of our dog posted weekly on social media and sent over to us regularly. We got reports on what he eats, how he behaves, whether or not there is anything to take extra care of.I haven't got the words to describe how lucky we are to have found such place that offers outstanding boarding conditions, great care and fantastic staff.Thank you very much all of you. Keep up with the great work!

My wife and I are very grateful for the love and care that our 1-year old pup Eden received during her 3 and a half months at Dancing Creek Farm. From the beginning, it was a very professional experience with Tamara. The area is well-kept and the cabins are great. They took the time to ask us what we wanted/expected and even helped put Eden on a great diet because we were having some issues there. As an added bonus we were able to sign Eden up for training with Sheril. We received constant updates as well as pictures/videos which we really appreciated. We were blown away by the change in her behavior, especially the lack of pulling on the leash and the ability to stay in place for an extended period of time. Even after taking her home, the team has been responsive with any follow up questions that we have had. We couldn't have asked for a better group of people to leave her with and will continue to use them in the future!

I cannot say enough great things about Dancing Creek Farm! This summer we sent our dog to Dancing Creek for the three month board and train, and everything was fantastic about the experience from start to finish.Tamara was so helpful in coordinating an out of state pick up of our dog on short notice for the program. We had a very nice member of their staff pick up the dog and provide us updates on the transport throughout. Upon our pup arriving to the farm, we got pictures and videos of our pup in his private cabin. We really wanted our pup to make dog friends during his stay, and were happy the staff made such an effort to introduce our pup to other dogs and that he became close friends with a particular dog throughout his stay. We loved weekly receiving photos of our dog and his new best friend chasing each other through the fields. The training program was also fantastic. Cassie trained our dog throughout the summer and would provide us weekly videos about the skills our dog was learning that week. These videos were both fun for us to see what our pup was up to and also very informative about how we could continue encouraging good behavior once our dog arrived home. Cassie was also super responsive to any questions we had through the training process. This place is really a one of a kind dog resort. Our pup is not used to being confined in a kennel area, and we would not have wanted him to be confined to such a small space since he is a big dog. We loved how spacious the cabins are and the indoor-outdoor concept of this farm, and the access to so much green space so our dog could spend his days away from home running free with his new friends (picture included of our smiling pup playing in the fields at Dancing Creek). I definitely encourage checking out their social media page to see all the happy dogs running around with their friends.Sending our dog somewhere we hadn't physically been to before seemed like a scary proposition at first, but when you get to know the staff at Dancing Creek you will not be worried for a second. They are such a kind bunch. It was such an added bonus to us how considerate, responsive and thoughtful everyone on staff was throughout the process.I will definitely in the future be using Dancing Creek for any boarding and training needs. Aside from our dog having a great time, receiving fantastic training and making great friends, Dancing Creek is a business I am proud to support generally due to it being woman owned and that a main part of their business is providing a safe home for service members dogs when they are deployed.

The facility is extremely well kept. Maria kept me informed, sent me pictures and videos, she is amazing!! Cassie took the time to work with Marley, he was much calmer and obedient when he came home. Dancing Creek Farm is a wonderful place for any dog to stay if you need to be away.

We sent our shepherd, Gracie, to Dancing Creek, because she was skittish but headstrong. She would pull me around on our walks and was becoming very territorial and leash agressive towards other dogs. I can't say enough, what a differently behaved dog she is now. She is much more self confident and relaxed. We were just on a hike a few days ago, and encountered several other folks with their pups. Gracie bristled, but did not bark or lunge or even pull toward them! Her time at Dancing Creek was absolutely worth it!

I needed a long term (just under 4 months) boarding place that had an open feel for my rambunctious pup. Dancing Creek had a huge pasture he was able to get his energy out in, his own heated cabin to call home, and Tamara was amazing about posting pictures of him. He was always running around and grinning ear to ear. Luckily, there was the option to board and train so while he had somewhere beautiful and safe to stay, he also got to learn some new obedience skills. Sheril did an awesome job with him and I loved seeing him training status updates from her.

My french bulldog spent 3 1/2 months at Dancing Creek Farm while I was overseas. I had looked at a lot of different boarding facilities and contacted several before finding Dancing Creek. None of them had the level of care that Dancing Creek offers. I knew my pup wouldn't be happy indoors without opportunities for regular interaction with other dogs and humans. My dog was also enrolled in training with Cassie. I received weekly pics, videos and updates of what he was learning. Cassie was responsive to questions and explained things knowledgeably and patiently. When I picked him up she spent time with me walking through everything with my dog. He now walks on a leash better and follows commands well.Dakota in particular went above and beyond when my pup had BOAS surgery. Besides the number of vet visits, he needed around the clock care after this surgery. Dakota set up a special area for him and stayed with him through the night. Maya also stayed through the night with him after his surgery and gave him extra care.Tamara gave recommendations for his food and supplements that he could continue once I got him. He had had stomach issues before but now on their food regime he doesn't. I'm able to order the food and supplements from their store and I love that it supports their non profit and the ways they invest in their community.I know my pup was loved and well cared for and my dog had so much fun!

In early 2020, we had to go overseas for a few months and researched dog boarding places extensively unless we came across Dancing Creek at the recommendation of a friend who had heard of it from other friends. We drove there once beforehand to check it out, and after meeting Dakota knew that our 10 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback would be in good hands - besides the good facilities (housing, big yard for play etc.). Little did we know our planned 3 month or so travels would turn into 5 months due to pandemic related disruptions. Thankfully, we had no problems extending our puppy's stay. Also, during the time he was with them, our puppy developed the more identifiable manifestations of onset of a degenerative nerve disease. They took great care of him during that time, in addition to regular vet visits for vaccine boosters etc. After we finally came back and picked him up, our puppy looked great, and we soon thereafter got to take him to yet one more country (Nepal, his 7th or maybe 8th, depending how you count!) in the fall of 2020, where we got to live and have fun with him for one more year before he finally said goodbye to us just short of his 11th birthday. Highly recommend Dancing Creek Farm and Tamara, Dakota and rest of the team there to anyone needing a place to board their beloved dog long-term (or short-term). Liina and I are very thankful we found this place for our old boy when we did.

When I took a job on a remote island in Alaska temporarily that does not allow for animals I was really worried about what was going to happen with my girl Baaz. She had a rough start before I got her from the rescue and was worried this change would set her back. Nope, DCF is a wonderful place for long term boarding. They post pictures a few times a month so I can see her progress and the Trainers are amazing. She has always been a picky eater (stems from being abused before I got her) and she is gaining weight and looking so healthy on their nutrition program. I cannot recommend DCF enough and tell anyone who listens. 😁😁😁 (Baaz is the Shepard mix)

My family was going on a 2-month hiatus out of the country and needed someone to watch our pup, Nefi. She was a little nervous, but acclimated well thanks to the DCF team - especially Sheril, the dog trainer. Sheril and Nef grew an affinity for her because of her dedication and patience. We felt the same because Sheril would send us photos and videos of her throughout her entire stay. She even spent extra time with Nef to help her overcome her anxiety being in a foreign location. She didn't need to do that, but she did and it means the world to us.Not to mention, now that we have her back, we noticed the training had a significant effect on her. Walks with her are no longer pulling and tugging. This was a very welcomed change! ☺️Also, Tamara is very fast to respond to messages and handle any inquiries. All in all, we are glad with our choice of trusting Dancing Creek with our fur kid.

We had an amazing experience with Dancing Creek! The team was so easy to work with and they were very accommodating! We had to board three large dogs over the holidays and Dakota and her team were able to put them in a large heated cabin together. Dancing Creek has certified dog trainers so our pups had the proper balance of play, rest, and relaxation! Their team posted pictures of our dogs running in their pastures having the time of their lives! We will definitely use them again for future boarding!

My 2 year-old Bernese Mountain Dog and I both had a great experience with Dancing Creek Farm. She boarded and trained with the team for 3 months and I'm impressed with their training program, facilities, and most of all, the people. I received updates with pictures, videos, and reports on how my dog was doing in training and interacting with other dogs and people. I also received training on how to train along the way and once I picked her up. They are great with communication and make sure all the details are taken care of. They are very thoughtful in choosing who to pair your dog with in boarding and in play time so that they have a positive experience. I can tell my dog had the best time during her "summer camp" and she really loved her trainer, Cassie, and the rest of the staff (Kristen, Maria). I would highly recommend Dancing Creek for boarding and training. Thanks for a great experience!

I'm going to leave an honest review of some pros/cons, but just know that the cons are only FYI, because the 5 stars is for ensuring my pet was safe and cared for, because that is what ultimately was most important to me. I was in a jam, I had to leave the country or be separated from my partner, so I left my dog with dog sitters and flew out the next day not knowing how long I would be gone. Dog sitter could only be temporary. I found Dancing Creek Farm online, and it really is a one of a kind facility -- cabins, not kennels, where the dogs can go in and out to a private yard. They can board in groups of 2 to 4, or private. Every other place I found was concrete kennels with doggie daycare (large groups) or just private walks. My dog is dog selective, so this private cabin would just be perfect. Now, I contacted Tamara and we set up transport (from New Orleans). Normally they do full transport, but this was during the onset of COVID lockdown. But, they still worked with me to get him from a halfway point. The fact that they did this during COVID (and the handoff was social distanced, no items besides meds allowed, and my friend loaded him in the vehicle) was amazing. So, from a foreign country, I was able to get all this arranged and my dog was safe and sound within a couple of days. I am so thankful. I let them know my situation and we did board/train, and ended up extending for the 3 month duration. During this time I got regular videos, got a full explanation of training techniques, and got to ask questions. Sheril set boundaries right away, but I could tell from the video how much my dog loved her and how attached he got. At home he's so much more calm and walks are SO much more pleasant because he knows how to heel. The diet and exercise got him into great shape -- I had let him get a little chunky, and he's a solid boy so I wasn't aware what his ideal weight should be. This has probably saved him a couple years on his life, or at the very least less joint issues, now that I know. They switched his food, and made sure to be mindful of his several allergies. Now for the "cons" (just to be transparent if anyone else has a dog like mine): he did go in having just had a yeast skin issue, and it probably wasn't all the way gone. It did flare up, and they treated it with topical skincare. It got better, but I still had to take him to the vet and now he's on oral meds and it's starting to clear. It wasn't anything major, just redness (no itch), and to be honest he's a pitbull and his skin is SO sensitive. Also, they told me that vet visits would be minimal if they could help it due to COVID. Again, nothing major, if it had been worse they would have taken him. I just say this as an FYI for dogs with any allergy issues, be very specific and give them all the info. I honestly don't think this would have been the case in normal non-COVID times. Another FYI, not a con: I was hoping training could include some dog socialization, but this isn't possible due to the dogs all belonging to clients. Which I would say is a PRO for most people because you know your dog will be safe and only put with dog friendly dogs. So, rundown: the one con was the skin issue, but that doesn't take anything away from all the major PROs: the lifesaving accommodation at the last minute, the COVID precautions, the surprisingly frequent update and communication despite COVID, the wonderful care he got, the videos of the training, the difference I see in his behavior, his healthy physique, his healthy looking #2, and all of this at SUCH a reasonable price. This would be my only option going forward for a long term boarding if I were to leave the country or be away for more than 3 weeks (if I lived closer I would do it for less time). I highly recommend it for anyone who can't take their dog overseas! I also recommend Sheril for training, especially if you have a dog that is hard to work with, or has any major aggression issues. She knows her stuff and really loves the dogs she trains.

Long overdue, but I'm indebted to DCF for taking such great care of my dog for four long months! The staff was great and welcoming upon his arrival and did a great job to integrate him into a new environment. During my dog's stay, they would post photos and he looked like he was having a blast each and every time. When I picked him up, he looked the healthiest and happiest I've seen him. His fur was shiny and thick. The food and supplements they feed the dogs are incredible. We have permanently switched my dog's food since. I cannot say enough wonderful things about DCF and for taking such great care of our dog, who is family! I would recommend them to anyone looking to board their dog no matter the length of stay. Should we ever need to board our dog long term again, we will without hesitation be going back to DCF! Thank you again :)

This is by far the best place to board your dog! The people here truly care about the animals. My girls were loved on and happy during their stay! Maria kept in communication with me the entire time, sending me pictures because she knew I was a nervous momma about leaving my girls for the first time. The facility and its accommodations are so beautiful! I will only ever board my dogs here in the future! Thank you Tamara, Maria, and Dakota! You ladies are the best!!

I can't recommend this place highly enough. I've already told more people than I can count that if they ever need long-term dog boarding they have to come here. I had to go overseas for a year and organized to leave my dog with friends because I thought she'd do well in a familiar environment; that turned into a disaster, and she became really stressed out there and developed health issues that she'd never had before. I found Dancing Creek online and hoped she'd be better in an unfamiliar environment, given how positive the reviews were. From as soon as she arrived, she thrived! She's been so happy and healthy! It was even better once I signed her up for training, too. I just wish google would let me give more than 5 stars to Dancing Creek--and to Dakota and Cassie. Thank you all so much!

I brought my two year old Australian Shepherd to Dancing Creek Farm for 3 months for board and train while I was working internationally. It was a great experience. The facilities are really nice, and they paired Tommy with dogs of similar size and temperament so he lived in a little pack. His trainer, Cassie, was fantastic. She sent me videos and updates on his progress multiple times a week for all three months. When I picked him up, she led me through a few training exercises. His jumping and barking is so much improved, and he comes on command perfectly now. He also knows a lot of great tricks and commands. He’s still the same silly dog, but a lot calmer and under control now. It gave me peace of mind knowing that Tommy was in such good hands. I would recommend Dancing Creek Farm to everyone, especially the board and train program!

I learned that I was going on deployment overseas with the U.S. Army in late 2020. Shortly after my ex decided to end our relationship of over 5 years. I was heartbroken, stressed, and scrambling to find anyone that I could trust to watch my fur babies while I was gone.I searched every website and organization that I could find and was getting down to the wire of having to leave when I found the amazing folks at Dancing Creek Farms.I have been in and out of an area where I had no way of checking on things back home, but when I was able to it meant the world to me being able to go to their Facebook page and see my babies happy, healthy, and smiling. I will never even bother to look for another boarding facility ever again.I am eternally grateful to everyone at Dancing Creek Farms. One happy soldier.

We found Dancing Creek Farms when we were urgently looking for a place to board our two Shiba Inus after bringing home our first child. After doing a lot of research and talking to the staff (who were very responsive) we decided to board and train our dogs for 3 months. Over the next three months we watched our dogs grow and learn from a staff of truly caring people. We received prompt responses to our questions. Our dogs received incredible food, enrichment and pasture time. When we picked them up - they were truly transformed. DCF trained our dogs in a way that kept our family together - a real fear we had given the dogs’ behavior in the first days after bringing our son home. We are deeply grateful for this world class boarding facility nearby and have scheduled our dogs for a short term boarding when we leave the country later this year! Thank you so much DCF!

When searching for a place to board my dog, Bentley, longer term (7 months) I came across Dancing Creek Farm. I was initially hesitant as I am located in Chicago and DCF was a bit outside of the search radius but after talking to the owner, Tamara, I felt assured that Bentley would be well taken care of and this truly was the best place for him in spite of the distance. The facilities are really well maintained, the cabins and individual yards are spacious, and the weather is beautiful (definitely worth considering since I left Chicago in January under a foot of snow and single digit temperatures and landed in Virginia in sunny and 50 degrees). Most importantly the staff are some of the best trained and most genuine people I have come across in dog care.My dog is a bit rowdy and quite selective in who he gets along with. The DCF staff took their time getting to know him and his personality while keeping me very well informed through calls, emails, WhatsApp, and pictures. Simply put they care about each animal there and want them all to be as safe and happy as possible. DCF was in constant communication with me both in behavior/training updates and fun pictures or videos. I could see in the pictures and videos how much fun my dog was having there while also getting proper care and guidance.Truly it was the best decision and made the difficulty of leaving him in the US while my wife and I were overseas a little easier. Tamara, Dakota, Maria (and anyone else who worked with Bentley) you have my gratitude and confidence. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Bentley!

Our dog Bowser had an excellent experience with long term boarding and training at Dancing Creek Farm. I did an extensive search to find a good home for him while we traveled internationally and I am so happy I found DCF. Cassie was particularly attentive, sending videos and pictures of his progress. After a five month stay, we picked up a healthy, happy, well groomed, and very well behaved dog. I highly recommend DCF :)

Dancing Creek Farm and Dakota's team are incredible! We have used them twice for short term boarding, and we and our dog have had a great experience. It was important to us to find a place where our dog would not be crated, as she has a lot of energy, and we found it! Here she is in a small cabana with other dogs her size and is able to move around freely, for which we're so thankful. Last time our dog went here for a long weekend, she didn't want to leave to come home!

We have used this facility now for training and boarding and are not only impressed, but feel secure when we leave our dogs in their care. Our trainer Cassie did a great job, communicated during the process and trained the dog based on his needs and our needs, not a cookie cutter experience. This is essential in a good trainer. Thank you for taking the time to learn our dog and to explain the process to us. We will be back.
