Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and offered a breathtaking sunset.Our brunch was not only fresh and delicious but our waiter. Nathan Crum was outstanding. The friendly young man was personable and very attentive, its refreshing to see a young adult in the service industry having a desire to do a good job.This is our second stay at the hotel and we will gladly return.Thank you Beth for another great weekend in Cape Charles.

Small town hotel. Five rooms, all of which seem to be similar. There is a breakfast/ lunch cafe on the first floor. There is also complementary coffee in a parlor. Our room was very clean with a nice balcony. Adjacent so that we could overlook the end of the Chesapeake Bay. It was a very blustery cool day in Cape. Charles, Virginia. We tried to walk on the beach but we were sandblasted and we gave that up. The hotel was quite nice and Tiffany was very efficient in making the reservation and greeting us when we arrived.Walkability: Very walkable from the hotel to all of the local eateries. Very small town.

We ate at the Northampton Hotel New Years Eve weekend at first because they were open and then went back because the food and service was so good! It was wonderful! So grateful we gave it a try! It’s a beautiful hotel on our walk to and from the beach! We have a place in Cape Charles but we will recommend the hotel for overnighters whenever we can!

Came for brunch on a weekday around 1 pm - was super quiet, service was excellent. Get the Fromage, it’s 12/10 delicious and the cocktails are amazing. An absolutely delightful inn in every imaginable way! We thoroughly enjoyed our quiet and super comfy room which offered every amenity we could have needed. The balcony was amazing with such perfect chairs and tables and porch swings affording unforgettable views of the town and the bay and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Breakfast downstairs was absolutely delicious and the items available for purchase there were perfect to bring back as gifts and remembrances of a magical stay in an unforgettable place.

Extremely well kept property. Across the street from the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. Easy walk to shops & restaurants. Our room had a semi private back porch, perfect for cocktails or breakfast,with a view of the bay.Noteworthy details: I unfortunately left a few items of clothing behind in a wardrobe.The staff found them, called me, and mailed them to me within a week. Great customer service.

Glad they are doing well.2022Walking by, stop for breakfast, friendly service, willing to create a meal for my vegetarian sister. I had the Huevous Ranchero, surprisingly high end breakfast, had sautéed kale, really good. Coffee was on point and perfectly hot.They just opened 3 weeks ago, no new store opening woes, very well done.

We were in Cape Charles for Labor Day weekend. Monday, Labor Day, a table of 4 adults and two kids got breakfast. The iced latte is what I recommend along with the avocado toast! If you’re going, I may recommend having time, as they can be understaffed. They do have beignets that looked delicious. My family got the breakfast bowl that consisted of grits, sausage, eggs and I believe one other item.

Excellent nights stay in a nice, historic, quiet, and relaxing little sea-side town. The hotel is very welcoming, super-clean, and very quiet. You can enjoy the fresh sea air from the many porches or watch the ships from the widows walk. Because it was mid-January and off-season, the restaurant and gift shop were closed. However, the owner gave us great recommendations for dinner and breakfast. Cape Charles has many great dining options, even off-season. Well worth the trip and already hoping to return again.

Wonderful accommodating staff! Katie was our waitress and was absolutely awesome. Also, great food, must have good cooks in the kitchen. I did notice some customers being rude to the staff for NO REASON, which was upsetting knowing how hard the staff was working to accommodate a full house. I 10/10 recommend the Northampton Hotel!

Just spent a wonderful weekend at the Northampton Hotel. It was truly amazing. The rooms were breathtaking with a stunning view from each room. The hotel staff and owners bent over backwards to make sure every detail of our stay was perfect. They serve truly delicious food there as well. The morning of our departure we were a bit late getting started and we went downstairs to see if we could still order breakfast. Not only did they offer to make breakfast but they delievered it to our room on antique china so we could enjoy it on our private balcony.

We lucked out that this beautiful place had a room available. We stayed in room 4 and the room was perfect. Very comfortable bed! I enjoyed having my cup of coffee in the morning out on the balcony. The location is great, right down the street from all the shops and from the beach. Hope to make another trip soon!

I love this place. Great food and friendly staff! This place never disappoints. The view from the deck is great, and it's a quick walk to the beach. I stop here every time I visit Cape Charles! The gift shop has some great gifts, and is very reasonably priced.

Loved our stay here. Wonderful staff, helpful and very friendly! The room was great, fantastic view of the harbor. The hotel is an easy walk to everything in town. I highly recommend you come and stay here. We will be back.

Unwelcoming staff, We live in Virginia Beach and enjoy touring the eastern shore of virginia. We landed in Cape Charles yesterday, it was lovely. We thought we might stay the night and found the North Hampton hotel. It looked very clean and newly renovated.You enter the hotel through the gift shop which doubles as the lobby. I asked, but there were no vacancies. We further asked for a brochure because it looked like a place we would come back for, and inquired regarding room rates. So far so good. Then i asked if i could use the restroom, i was told they are for paying guests only and I was directed to a public restroom about 1 block away. If this is how they treat potential customers, they shouldn`t be in the hospitality business. We won` t be going back to the North Hampton anytime soon.

Nelson & I stayed here May30, 31 &June 1 & had a wonderful & relaxing visit!!! Pam & her staff were so nice & helpful & Hector cooked us a full breakfast which we ate out on the beautiful porch overlooking the harbour & the bay!!!! The hotel was beautifully renovated & very historic & comfortable...We would highly recommend The Northampton Hotel to everyone & you will never regret staying there!!!!
