Fantastic small business with hundreds of wines to choose from. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable of every bottle they stock. I asked if they had a couple of labels that I love and when they said they don't have it, they took my contact information and said they would look for it and if they find it, they'll buy it for me. Great service!

After my family left the store my daughter fell on the curb and cut her leg. We ran in simply to ask for some napkins. The gentleman working that day immediately took us to the bathroom in the back and pulled out a first aid kit so we could get her leg cleaned up and then offered her some ice cream. Best customer service I have ever received! Simply being a nice person goes so far! They also have a wide variety of gourmet and craft items!

Located downtown Cape Charles and close to the pier this cute gourmet store is easy to get to with street parking on both sides.They have an incredible selection of specialty beverages and wine!A variety of Virginia grown nuts and specialty items to create a scrumptious charcuterie board. I was most excited about finding original German mustard in the traditional glass for a very reasonable price. The maple bourbon butter toffee nuts are delicious as well.

Nice little spot for some cheese, little snacks and wine. They do wine tasting on some weekends. We ended up buying two bottles after testing the wine. Ladies in there seem very knowledgeable.

We love this shop! It’s got everything you’d need to have an elevated day at the beach. Great selection of wine, cider, beer, meats and cheeses, and snacks galore! We love stopping in to find treasures on our way to the bay. They also bag all purchased items in classic clamshell bags! They’re sturdy and super reusable.

Fantastic little market. Marina is incredibly helpful in selecting wine/beer/etc. and is knowledgeable about the area. Cannot recommend this place enough!(Edit as of April 2019) We returned to Cape Charles for our first visit this year and planned on stopping in Gull Hummock for some cold beer to put in our coolers to enjoy later, found the store with entirely different stock and layout. It seems to have lost some charm as well with the changes. The store seems to focus almost exclusively on wine now. I'm a fan of wine, but we always appreciated the well-stocked beer fridge, now all the craft beer is confined to 2 small shelves and it is all sold warm. Also the snack selection is much smaller as well. Oh well, nothing can stay the same forever I suppose.

My 2 year old was insistent on water so we stopped in to grab a bottle. We didn’t have cash on us and the minimum credit charge was $5 and the gentlemen kindly just gave us the bottle.Didn’t end up with any of the wine or other drinks but it looked like a great selection!

The service and staff at Gull Hummock are amazing. They are very knowledgeable and with a few questions can usually point you in the direction of finding a new wine to try. The suggestions are usually pretty close and as a result found one of my favorite wines which I would never have thought to buy without their recommendation based on my taste preferences. They have a nice assortment of gourmet crackers and otherhors d'oeuvres type items which complement the wine selection very well. If they offer you a sample of the chocolate wine or any of the samples take it! The samples of wine there are always well curated and thought out. Whenever my wife and I are in the area we love to stop by.

Wonderful shop with nice selections and personal service. We look forward to the afternoon wine tastings and opportunity to socialize with our neighbors and tourists. Look around. His niece is a talented painter with works of art all over the walls too! If you don’t feel like cooking, you can grab some appetizers, wine and dessert and done!

OMG, free wine tasting at 3 pm. Great and varied selection of wines. Oh and they also had a craft beer tasting. Nice assortment of gourmet cheeses, crackers and other items. A small refrigerated section of prepackaged Boars Head meats plus other items. This is a perfect charcuterie stop for all your needs, and the staff is super knowledgeable and so friendly!

We found this lovely location on a boat trip across the bay to Cape Charles. Last minute, we ordered a charcuterie “box” to enjoy on the boat ride back. It was outstanding and their customer service was terrific. Highly recommend!

This place is friendly, has a nice selection of wines, meat and cheese. If you aren’t in a rush, but a bottle and some snacks and a fresh baguette and enjoy them all on their front porch. It’s a great place to do a charcuterie tray appetizer and a bottle.

Amazing wine selection and the staff are so sweet. We love coming for wine tastings and getting some horseradish cheese. Such a cute place to come to pick up gifts, treats, and wine.

Having a great selection of international wine and one-off beers, as well as a well-versed staff, Gull Hummock is one of the neatest stores in town. Best of all, they stock the anti-headache wine additives for those affected by sulfites. They also have a small selection of Brown Dog Ice Cream pints, serving all your wares and vices.
