You come across this delightful town and craving some cool ice cream. This is definitely the place to come too. You walk inside and are just welcomed with the sweet smell of ice cream. There is a limited menu of the ice cream but that goes to show how fresh the ice creams really are. The flavors are very unique, it’s not usual flavors you would see in Baskin Robbins or other ice cream places you would usually visit. The taste of the ice cream is self is incredible, it’s very rich and tastes absolutely sweet.This Ice Cream place is definitely worth coming to if you are in the area of Virginia!(Not Personal View, View from Family Member)

Fresh frozen custard. Tastes great. Friendly service, a bit of a wait, but worth it. We got the vanilla custard on cone and a chocolate brownie milkshake. Yum.

Their salted caramel ice cream is SOOOOO GOOD! I know we’ve visited the other places in Town, too, but this one is a fav! It is also open on a Saturday night in March when the other spots are all closed up during the slow season.

Ordered a waffle cone (one scoop of vanilla with m&ms). It was $7.99. Delicious on a warm day! Staff was friendly and efficient.

Delicious!! We got a flight of flavors (every ice cream place should do this, haha) and they were all delicious (cookies and cream, black raspberry truffle, and coffee chocolate chip). This is the place to go for ice cream in Cape Charles. We went to the "hot spot" down the street the day before and were very disappointed. So when we got Cowlick's we were more impressed and their prices are lower. This should definitely take over as the place to go!!

It is nice and clean. Unlike their competition who act as if it's end days, they allow you to sit down and enjoy some A/C! I loved all the cow details and decor.

This is a nice, fresh place in Cape Charles. We had a cone, a sundae and a milk shake. It was delicious. The establishment was super clean and the staff was polite. I would visit again and would recommend to friends who to visit this remote beach.

Very open and airy space, the staff was super helpful and friendly. Thank you for bearing with us while my Littles chose their flavors, and the root beer float is mom approved! Delish, see you next summer! Give the staff a raise.

We got a Banana milkshake, a Red Velvet milkshake, and a Cookie Butter milkshake. We were incredibly disappointed to see that the flavors were just syrups that were pre-made and added to the ice cream when they put it in the shake machine. The banana taste like those gross fruit shaped candy bananas that you get out of the machines for 25¢ at a store. The Red Velvet was very sweet but did not taste like Red Velvet. The Cookie Butter tasted like black coffee, NOTHING like actual Cookie Butter! It was $24 for 3 milkshakes. We were really excited to try this creamery, support a local small business, and the aesthetic was very cute but unfortunately we did not have a good experience.

First customers, first review!Staff was super friendly and let us try plenty of samples (Chocolate, Vanilla, and Flavor of the Day, which was Razberry Cheesecake!). The interior was cute and we loved the “cow seat”!The custard was so yummy, the dipped waffle cones were to die for, and the Cowlick Swirl was delicious! All for very reasonable prices!Highly highly recommend to all! We’ll definitely be back!

Located in quaint downtown Cape Charles this shop features a nice variety of frozen desserts with scrumptious toppings.Staff was friendly and helpful. There is seating inside and outside benches.It's a nice place to visit to get a treat.

Amazing strawberry milkshakes and their caramel cookie butter ice cream is delicious! The owner was so gracious and all of the staff were very friendly. Great way to treat yourself!

My kids and I agree. This is the best ice cream in Cape Charles. High quality ice cream and pretty good prices. Friendly staff is the cherry on top, which is included along with whipped cream on their milkshakes.

Great ice cream and service. Unique and delicious flavor combos. Loved that it had the feel of a mom and pop shop on Main Street, but with an updated rustic look, fitting to the locale. Will revisit when in the area!

tried to go there to get ice cream. it smelled really good from outside but 8 minutes after the sign on the door says they would open all three of the employees inside were just looking at me tugging on the door that was still locked. apparently they get to open the store whenever they feel like it. Will be going elsewhere.

Workers seemed like they didn't care/didn't want to be there. There was only 4 flavor options which I had to ask about since I didn't see them right away on the board, they were on a tiny side board. When my husband came out with the ice cream it was basically half melted already, just melted all over our hands. Should've went somewhere else

It was okay. Reasonably priced but if you go later in the day they do run out of things. I got the cow cakes the cakes were good but they only had a half of scop of the custard left that I got and they did not tell me.

We decided to go here because the line at the popular competition down the street was too long. Glad we did because this place was cheaper, new AND the "black raspberry cheesecake" ice cream of the day was THE BEST!

We got a weird vibe from the two ladies working the night we were in, but the treats that we came for quickly made up for it. The Key Lime Custard was OFF THE CHARTS!

Ice cream was great. Noone was disappointed with their deserts. Try the coffee crunch. Its an easy walk if are at the Shanty.
