From the moment my family arrived in Cape Charles Jen S. and Katie W. at Chesapeake Properties made us feel like friends being welcomed back to our old neighborhood. We hated to turn in the keys to the immaculate house on Tazewell Ave a week later!This is the 4th summer in a row we have returned to CC for vacation. (we drive 1,400 miles from Central Texas to be a part of the picturesque community). Imagine a town with Victorian architecture, infused with an Aloha spirit - that says "slow down, this isn't the mainland" and you will be in Cape Charles. From shopping to dining, paddle-boarding to beach volleyball, Cape Charles has a summer full of memories for everyone!

We just recently returned from Cape Charles after renting the condo "Above It All". The condo was clean and furnished nicely. The location was great and close to everything. The elevator was broken, which was a bummer for loading and unloading supplies but this wasn't the fault of Chesapeake Properties. We had a wonderful visit and will definitely return again.

The home we rented “Beach Bums” was absolutely beautiful, with easy access to the beach and everything we needed at our finger tips, the only disappointment was the pool, which was full of algae,sand and not at water level. I inquired about this and Nolan put water in the pool and put the vacuum on unfortunately we were still unable to use the pool because of the unsafe stairs that still had algae on them, the owner refused to give us any kind of refund, there were no chairs either around the pool~ disappointing

Before considering renting from this company know that your security deposit will be in jeopardy! The manager Jen Siegrist lost the original contract that was filled out and then asked for another contract to be signed and returned. She claims that there would be only one dog on the contract but I clearly wrote down all dogs that were coming. If she could read the contract then she would have found those details out. She charged me for extra dogs after the fact and also didn't return the deposit. Jen is very unprofessional and not organized.Make sure you take pictures of everything before and after to be able to dispute any damages house cleaning reports. The dogs we did take on the trip were all small dogs that could not have done all the scratches on a hard wood floor that shouldn't be able to damage so easily. I believe that this a scam they blame on every guess with dogs.Beware staying in this home or dealing with this company. Advice for Kim Starr, broker would be to hire a more capable office manager.

My wife and I and our 4 year old twin grandsons recently spent 2 nights at "A Shore Thing" rental. We knew it was a small cottage, which the boys called the "itty-biddy" house, but it was perfect!The cottage was well maintained and had everything that we needed. The coziness of it was a real comfort to our two little guys.An easy walk to the beach and to all the shops in town. And plenty of kid friendly DVD's to choose from to use on a rainy afternoon!Jen S. was so easy to work with. Everything was ready for us and the process could not have been easier. We will certainly be using Chesapeake Properties on our next trip to Cape Charles!

the whole house was tilting and unsafe, No shower cleaner, no toilet paper, floor was covered in dust, yard wasn't cut, no fence for privacy, front door lock was damaged, coffee pot was rotted out and burnt, and hot water runs out after one 10 min shower. They didn’t return a security deposit claiming that we damaged the floor that were already damaged! They claim it’s dog friendly only to blame the dogs for scratching the floors! The property manager Jen S. can’t read.. we wrote down all dogs that were coming with us and Jen only put one dog down then charged us saying we were trying to sneak dogs in! All around terrible house!
