Loved staying 4 nights here.... although right off route 13, it was peaceful, quiet, surrounded by huge pine trees and really kind of nostalgic... because it is a motor lodge originally built in the 1950s. The rooms have been renovated though parts of the motel are still under renovation. The room was very clean, had a nice new refrigerator and microwave...a new AC system ...the beds were very comfortable...though this room did not have a completely updated bathroom, it was very clean. We usually stay at the hotel cape Charles, but it was booked, so we found the Milestone lodge, and really it was just a chill place to stay and way less expensive than the hotels right in Cape Charles, yet you are five minutes away from everything Cape Charles has to offer. Internet can be iffy, but that's a problem all over the Eastern shore. It was great to be able to park right in front of your room. We thought this was a really interesting, different place to stay... definitely will go back. Sort of felt like we were off the beaten path, and we enjoyed that! Owners are really nice and I'm glad they're renovating this super interesting old motor lodge. And they have a fish cleaning station that's kept clean and dog friendly rooms.

This seems to be a hotel being revamped. Right off the main drag but in the trees so super quiet. Beds were very comfortable, they allowed the dog for an extra$15. Large property all in the trees. Ac worked well and very quiet. Bathroom left in the old style of the 60s, retro but functional with good shower head and pressure. There is a sign but really easy to drive right by because it is set back in the trees. I'd stay again if passing through

Where do I even begin?Desperate for a room due to an emergency, we booked here. The door code didn’t work. The place is a mosquito infested swamp. The owner is beyond unreasonable.I informed the uncommunicative owner that my code did not work— no response. But she sure was available when I preemptively reached out and told her that there had been an emergency and my husband would come move his motorcycle ASAP. We were working on having someone help with the bike since I don’t have a motorcycle license and she decided to be a jerk. I have the texts. She is an awful, awful person and so is her mother— never stay here.

There's a lot of renovation going on at the time of me writing this. So if you book a room, arrive and it looks a bit worn,dont panic. You should have a nice stay. We did. I admit though, we were a bit nervous when we first pulled in as well. The front office looked worn down and almost abandoned and I wondered whether or not we had the right place. But I called the number on the office door and was assured we were indeed, at the right place. That being said, I love the look of old roadside motels and once the renovations have been completed here, it will be another gem inCape Charles. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Dated on the inside as well, but I liked the old charm of the room. For the price, I felt we got an exceptional deal and being that it's a small set of buildings, it was very quiet also. Nestled among the trees, it has a "Dirty Dancing" movie vibe to it. (Remember, nobody puts baby in a corner.) 😁

We found this place by accident, what a diamond in the ruff! They allowed our small dog and our large boat with no problem. Close to great fishing ramps, tackle shops. Shaded areas to walk your dog and to just unwind. Flowering trees and bushes with a small creek and quaint bridges. The room was clean, with fridge and microwave. Perfect place to crash after a long day on the Bay.The owners are super friendly.

We were in town for a wedding and just needed a one night stay. I was not impressed. The front desk staff member had eaten lunch in our room earlier that day and had to clean out the fridge as we were unloading our car. Room was clean enough, but dated. We asked for a late check out (willing to pay extra, so we could get ready for wedding) but were told noon was the latest. The curious thing is that ours was the only room available it seemed (every other room door stated “under construction”?). Would not go back.

It was very quiet, just what I needed. Nice piece of land you can get lost on☆I love the fact that you can have your furr baby's here!!( thank you♡) only down side was the smell of like wet dog in my room. Totally, understand. But for the ones getting the room after me might not be so kind.

After breaking down during a roadtrip, I needed a place to stay. Luckily for me, I ended up across the street from this place!The owners are very kind and friendly. The room I stayed in was cozy, had an awesome TV, and the bathroom was really cute. There was a functional remote for both the AC and the TV as well as a mini-fridge and a microwave. The beds are a little stiff, but everything else made up for it.Once I checked out, the owner offered me some coffee and wished me a safe trip! Needless to say, it was one of the best things about my unfortunate situation.

Love it. Not a Hotel.Nestled in the woods and cape charles back road to the beach.Fed the cats 4 and one Mom.Pancakes and biscuits from McDonald's.1950 lives on and needs your business.Only gripe it should be 100 bucks a night.Not 128.

This place has really been turned around by the new owners. Great little hotel sitting next door to a very nice Italian restaurant and just down from a very nice shopping and dining area. My room was immaculate and spotless clean with everything in order. The truly best thing about this hotel are the owners and employees as they will do back flips taking care of there customers. A special thanks to Anna. A long story about a sail boat race gone bad but I had lost my phone and had no car and Anna was kind enough to let me use her phone several times to communicate with my very worried family and to organize a way back home to Virginia Beach. When on the Eastern Shore the Milestone is the only game in town.

This is an older mom and pop type motel. Some reviews say it is dated. Yes. That’s the point. It’s a step back in time. But well cared for and clean. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet comfortable place to stay.

My wife and I were on a day trip motorcycle ride to the Eastern shore. Wife had never been through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. We went all the way to Chincoteague. To make a long story short. Our day trip turned into an overnight trip. We just happened to stop in. They were very friendly and accomodating. They had 1 room left. Room was super clean and had all we needed. Once we got home I realized I left something there. So I called. The young lady took my address and told me they will mail it back to me on Monday. I will make sure I stay there again next time we go up. I highly recommend staying at Cape Charles Milestone Lodge.

A great little gem of a place, tucked away in tall pines off the otherwise nondescript Rte. 13, near Cape Charles. The owner is about the friendliest host you could ask for (once even providing late night condiments from his personal fridge, when we forgot ketchup with our takeout order). The front porch is very nice and you're almost guaranteed some good conversation (and good coffee). The rooms at most other hotels in this price range are homogeneous cut-outs that look like bleached hospital rooms (fluorescent lighting, utilitarian decor, etc). The rooms here are cozy and feel like home. I've stayed at probably 100 hotels across the country, and this is by far one of my favorites. Really a great place. Nothing else in the area (B&Bs excluded) even comes close.

My experience here I had no problems with the rooms with the exception that the water didn't get hot for a hot shower, it was more like lukewarm. And also there was no internet, other than that. The rooms were very clean, bug and smoke free. Will definitely stay here again! Plus this is my hometown, ESVA! Love y'all ♥️

I felt.it was very pricey($110) for what you get. No wifi. The room as in walls and decorations were very nice. But the furniture(not including the bed) and bathroom we're VERY dated. Almost left before someone answered for us to get a room.

Nice, older motel. Doesn't quite live up to the advertising, but a real slice of 1950s and 60s travelling. Cape Charles is nearby, and we'll worth a visit.
