The Cape Charles Fishing Pier is a great place to watch the sunrise or sunset anytime in Cape Charles. The sky almost always promises a spectacular show of bright and bold colors. It's always a great place to walk the beach, look for sea glass, or admire the awesome King Neptune statue a short walk away.

Great public fishing pier in Cape Charles. Bathrooms and free public parking available. Right off the beach, beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay. Close to the downtown shopping and restaurants.

This fishing pier is just an awesome place for a short walk in the evening. It actually extends right in front of sea and has a beach access too. This pier is well maintained and there are a few benches along the way. The weather was little cold and windy when we visited but we still enjoyed our time here. It is definitely a beautiful unique pier. Would love to enjoy a sunset here in summers for sure.

This place is a hiddem gem. I did not have time to stay there for long, only sampled the beach and liked it very much. The sand was like silk and water was clear and warm which was great for my toddler.

Great views of the sunset since there's an unobstructed view of the West. No luck catching fish. Lots of blue crabs swimming in the water. We caught a bunch, but the majority had to be thrown back because they were females or small males.

Cape Charles fishing pier is a unique and beautiful place. There is plenty of room to fish and crab throughout the pier. Due to the small town, locals are 98% of the pier regulars so it rarely gets crowded. There are several species of fish and the tasty Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab that can be caught off the pier. There isn't much seating on the pier, so make sure to bring a camping chair. If you have a fishing cart you can throw a beach umbrella on it for shade. And if you need supplies, there are plenty of shops just a few minutes walking distance. The city of Cape Charles also provide restrooms, located at the piers entrance. I grew up in Cape Charles/Cheriton when I was a kid and I highly recommend paying this lovely community and it's beach/fishing pier a visit.

Such a beautiful and calming place to visit! The fishing pier was nice, calm weather helped (a little chilly), and the views were impeccable.

Fun pier and beach to come visit!! Down on other end of sidewalk from the LOVE is Neptune statue a smaller version off three knew at Virginia Beach.

Nice bay area to spend a quality time. Dont have much to do there but if yoi just want to relax and swim in the shallow water this is the place to be. Make sure you bring food along if you plan on spend longer hours

This beach is a lot of fun and has a lot of sea creatures to observe such as crabs, live conch, shrimp etc. Less busy and less people than Virginia beach. If you want bay or ocean access without the crowds then this is a great option

The whole town improves a bit every season. If you are looking to truly relax because Cape Charles doesn't have the usual beach town options.This is the place for you. Not sure my teens would not be bored with only the beach all week. Its beautiful and relaxing.
