The moonshine is very good but very expensive. The old bottles were so much better and unique. The new bottles are not as unique and special. The apple pie moonshine is one of the best on the market. The blackberry moonshine was delicious and sweet. $42 for a bottle of moonshine is just a lot. The store sells cocktails and bottles to go. There are neat sitting areas and they are dog friendly. I like supporting locally owned businesses but it’s a little pricy.

Family weekend in Cape Charles to attend holiday events. Went to distillery on two occasions. Both exceptions! Nice ambiance and superb service. Our group sampled several cocktails off the menu and all were delicious. Staff was so nice in providing/explaining recipes. Absolute great time at the Cape Charles distillery!! Will be back

Great ambiance and service....cocktails were delish- liquor on its own was adequate but nothing stand out.Personally- avoid the flight and treat yo self to some cocktails. Will definitely come back for the atmosphere and service. Outdoor seating area was very relaxing and indoor area was tastefully decorated. Bourbon was not available on 07/17/2022.... thanks Biden.

Great place to try various distillery pours in your favorite mixed drink and make your buy to take home. Friendly and helpful staff, it's the holiday season so great prices especially on Friday's starting at 5pm. Wonderful selections of whiskey, bourbon, gin, vodka from distillery at reasonable prices for the great quality and flavors. Try it, worth the drive which is beautiful this time of year. The sunsets are spectacular. Tell them I sent you 😁

Nice for a drink (don’t think you’re allowed to have more than one). Manhattan was proper. A little pricey, but the quality is very nice. Would recommend.

My bf brought me here while we were out brewery/bar hopping. We absolutely loved it! Watching mixology happen while sipping on a delicious drink was so fun. The atmosphere was great and so were the people! We will definitely be back! 🥃🍸

Absolutely loved the ambiance of the cape Charles distillery! Servers were very friendly and made our visit even more enjoyable. Old fashioned bourbon had a nice flavor profile and the Manhattan was superb. Wish we could of stayed longer and enjoyed more things on the drink menu!

four of us stopped here on a rainy Saturday. we tried cocktails and the new wheat beer. everything was delicious, the beer was so flavourful without being too strong. the server was charming, definitely coming back

The cocktails are so tasty and pretty! They had a great selection with liquor made in house. You can also buy bottles of their liquor to bring home. The outdoor seating is also great and has a cool Moroccan decor and comfortable seating. The service was great. We were only in Cape Charles for two days and came here both days for drinks before dinner!

Visiting from Australia, was told by Virginia Spirits to visit, drove from Norfolk and checked online the hours went on Wednesday at 2:30pm and it was closed.Don’t put up opening hours that you can’t commit to.

I tried their signature bourbon, maple whiskey, and the apple pie and blackberry moonshines. My wife had a Pumpkin White Russian. All were excellent.They make artful mixed drinks and provide excellent service in a cool atmosphere. The whiskey was so smooth and delicious we left with a bottle. Highly recommend!

My husband and I make a hobby of going to different distilleries. We love supporting small business. Usually we chat with owners and staff a bit, very informal and nothing too in-depth. CCD products are very good. Our waitress/host seemed very well informed and rehearsed on what she was supposed to say about each item. The presentation of each drink was very nice, love the trays the flights come out on. We brought several bottles to take home. However, even though the shop was beautiful to look at, some of the seating seemed impractical and the owners seemed impersonal. I get you can't talk to everyone, but definitely could be more inviting since we were the only people in the shop. That little extra "something" would have gotten you 5 stars. Hope to make it back soon.

Truly impressed.Visited with Virginia coast euros car club/group. A dozen of us came in at once and we were welcomed with open arms. Amazing customer service, we were well tended to, the distiller took the time to explain the products to us very well.I forget your name, but we could see you take pride in your work! We loved our afternoon at the Cape Charles Distillery! The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating, and the drinks were great. If you like bourbon whiskey, you can't go wrong with their Signature Bourbon Whiskey. A solid 116 proof bourbon whiskey with a lot of flavor. A little heat through the front palate gives way to a smooth caramel mid palate, and a sweet lingering finish. I couldn't justify spending $85 for a bottle but would order the Signature Bourbon every time. We will be back!

They have a lovely outdoor sitting area. My first drink was a French 75 that was light and refreshing. My second drink wasn't as good. It was an old fashion that was a bit too heavy on the sweet that didn't really allow the bourbon to come through.

My wife and I love to spend weekends in Cape Charles. Its a beautiful town full of wonderful people.The shops in town are great for browsing and we certainly found our fair share of things to buy. There are some great restaurants to try and the cocktails at the Distillery are some of the best we have tasted.Every time we visit we make sure to stop by the Distillery for a tasting and to stock up. The WooWoo Vodka and Bloody Mary mix are by far the best we have ever tried and we always buy a couple bottles of each to bring home.We will be visiting again soon.

Update: the business replied to my review by stating that we bypassed the hostess. If that was the case, the hostess had no problem taking our order while we were sitting in the original spot. She said nothing to us to indicate we didn't follow their process. Why not indicate then that they couldn't accommodate us - before taking our orders and committing us to paying? We could have just gone to the brewery down the street or another spot. Another point for accuracy is that when we arrived there were at least 4 other seating areas open. Unless I'm to believe that each of those spots were reserved, this really feels like a squirmy way to avoid apologizing for treating parents with children as an unwelcome inconvenience. We've traveled a lot and have never experienced this. A better response would have been to apologize and just ask for another chance to get it right. Also, note the subtle shaming here about us bringing our children with us.... mentioning that they try to accommodate children in an adult setting... really? Wow. Message received.Original review:Spirits were not the best. The frozen alcoholic drinks tasted good, but were weak. For 2 frozen drinks and a flight of 4 tastings our total was $50. Seems like a bit much for what we got. The outdoor seating is nice, with a live musician on that day. Our waitress was very nice, but the owner (or manager) needed a lesson in hospitality. We ordered, were sitting and drinking for 10 minutes and our children (two other couples with us) were sitting in the opposing seating when the manager came out and told us we'd need to move our kids and have them "squish in" with us so she could seat other guests. There was plenty of inside seating open and no room for us all to sit comfortably. So my wife kindly asked if the kids could sit behind us in a park bench. She said no and that "she needed to leave the seats open for customers". Between the three couples we threw down over $150 in 10 minutes. She could have let our kids have a seat to themselves instead of forcing a 10 year old, 7 year old, and 11 year old to sit on our laps while we finished our drinks. We promptly finished, paid, and left. We were going to stay for food but nope. Really frustrating. Rude. First come should be first seated. Unless you have a policy against children you have to make accommodations for them or you can forget serving parents who are paying customers. Well never go back here to have her take my money and then treat us like an annoyance.

We recently hired the CC Distillery crew to tend bar and serve their cocktails at our wedding in Cape Charles and it was a fantastic choice. Their events manager Hayley was a dream to work with and their drinks were beyond delicious. Our wedding guests loved all of it and we had so much fun with them at the wedding. They really went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us, including decorating the bar beautifully and making personalized drink menus for us. I'll go back to the distillery for a drink (or several) and to hang out with them every time I'm in Cape Charles.

Just came back from the distillery, absolutely loved all of the martinis and moonshine. The atmospere was modern and very comfortable. The staff was so helpful and very informative. We were able to bring our yorkie in since it was in the 90s. Will definitely come back next year.

This place was a definite go to! Drinks were great! We loved sitting out on their cozy covered patio comfortable seating with gas fire pit and to top it off very dog friendly which always earns a 5 star with us!
