This place has changed hands/leadership and thus has had waves of good and bad. Worst was some okesh pizza, but we always came back. The managment and staff are in full stride now and have worked out the kinks.Great service, friendly staff, really good food at good prices and with very large portions. Plus, Icecream is an option! Its a NNK staple.

I ordered a large. 6 Topping pizzaMy total is somewhere around $24.Plus a 5 to $6 tip.Whoever made the pizza has just thrown the toppings on an old cheese pizza and tried to reheat it.THAT IS RIDICULOUSIT IS NOT RIGHTYOU STOLE MY MONEY SO I will not come back to your store.

Read online menu then went to restaurant. Their two menu copies showed much higher prices. Placed order and prices were considerably higher than menu. Owners need to update online and menus. Left without eating.

Has gone downhill since new owner has taking over. Just a matter of time before it's closed down for good!!! UPDATE Yeah I'm done with this place it had a lot of potential but it has gone downhill fast the last few years. 53.00 for three subs and two fries and only thing they got right were the fries. Who wants to keep ordering and nothing is right. This is the only place in this county that has this problem. Top prices for bad service....

Took over 45 minutes to get our food (1 burger and a small pizza) despite for 20 minutes of that time, being the only people in the restaurant. Absolutely no reason it should've taken that long, given that for half the time, we were the only people in there. Once we got our food, realized the burger was missing half of the toppings (no tomatoes or lettuce). Other than that the food WAS good, but just abysmal service. 0 apologies for how long it took. Didn't even bother to get ice cream after having to wait that long.

We love this place - mainly because the staff here is wonderful!! They are great with kids. We love their ice cream flavors - especially the cherry vanilla. Plus their banana splits are delicious. We like their pizza too, it reminds me of pizza you eat at bowling alleys and skating rinks. My kids always want a picture with the cow statues out front. Very family friendly place.

Pizza was delicious! Husband had a burger that was homemade and made to order. He reported it to be delicious. Shakes were outstanding. Very reasonable prices and very friendly folks. Young lady behind the counter was courteous and was in fast speed mode!! Super manners.

It's hard to tell when you close. I started calling at 7:15 pm and it rang busy til 7:20. But then no one answered the phone. So I drove up there. It was 7:30 and you were already closed. You have hard working employees and we appreciate them. So if you want to close at 7, that's fine but stop advertising you close at 8. And update Google which says you close at 9.

I reviewed this place 2 years ago and gave 5 stars, food was good and service was good.Today we decided to pick up super. This was a disaster, I ordered chili cheese fries, bacon cheese fries, Tex Mex hotdog, clam strips and fries, here's what I gotCheese fries, Cheese fries with 5 chips of bacon and a few drops of cheese, the Tex mex on a hard bun no coleslaw, and yesterday's chili , clam strips were the only thing in the order that was good. We called and said nothing they could do.So we had a order a few weeks ago for 3 steak and cheese subs, my wife picked it up and the charge was $52.00 she question the amount and rudley was told it was correct, so we brought that up today and was told that it could not be so, but we have the receipt to prove it, didn't want to do anything about it.Sad that we try to support local business and this is what we get.We can continue to go to Newsomes restaurant as I know we would not be treated in this manner nor would we get food that was sub par.

This is my favorite place to go on Thursdays! It's pizza day! I love pizza! They have the best pizza I have had since I was 10 years old in upstate New York. They have a pretty mean cheese steak too. The homemade ice cream is to die for! The restaurant is always very clean and cozy. All of the staff are friendly and make sure all of your needs are met. If I could give them 6 stars I would!

Second time visiting. First visit was quick but my ice cream was completely soft and melted so they had to put it in a cup instead. The flavoring of the cookie dough was not good either.Second visit was with family. Order was taken quickly but was given very slowly.Strawberry tastes more like the artificial strawberry syrup that you usually put on top of ice cream. Not ideal.One of the banana splits was entirely melted ice cream in a box.Leaving bad reviews isn’t what I like to do but both visits were very disappointing.

For a place where all the chefs are teenage boys, this is some great food. Best fries for 100 miles. Counter staff is really nice, too.There's an indoor dining room, a small outdoor seating area, and a drive-through. Based on the traffic I saw while sitting outdoors, this seems to be a real local institution.

Got over $100 dollars in food and was missing some of it so I went in to ask about the missing items and the women out front were kind and understanding but the chef I guess that's who it was was angry and loud saying he wasnt gonna remake anything eventually I got my food but there was a peice of wood in one of the subs. Would recommend for small orders.

Ordered a double cheeseburger and onion rings. The burger was enormous and very delicious. I will get the single burger next time because I like to avoid eating anything larger than my own head . The onion rings were home made and very delicious as well . I recommend anyone stop here when passing through Burgess, VA.

Great family place to stop for good, simple, delicious food. Standard fare: burgers, dogs, chili, pizza, quesadillas, etc. Plus a few not-so-standards like seafood bisque! Everyone loved the ice cream, too. Service was pleasant, quick and personal. We'll definitely return.

We were looking for an okay meal and didn't want to have to drive 30 minutes so we tried this place. The fried softshell sandwich was awesome!! Definitely give this place a chance if you're nearby. I saw that they also make their own ice cream, but we didn't try of that.

I've passed this place many times. Finally a friend of mine and I decided to try it while in the area.There's a little outside dining table area in front, or 2 sections of the interior to dine at with social distancing. We both ended up ordering the Cheese Steak sub. We both got the small . Luckily it didn't come with lettuce ,tomatoes, and mayo which is foreign to the taste of the famous Philly ones back East ...it was flavorful but could have used a bit more onions, mushrooms, etc.. I was disappointed in the size for the price , I guess small is small..but it wasnt bad tasting and seemed fresh. The place seems popular and I wished we were able to try the Ice cream which sounded great and is a big draw for them. I'd say try it if you're nearby.. especially if you have a cool old car to fit in with this style eatery.

They are always courteous from the time you walk in until the time you leave. Great service and very welcoming to anything you'd like to have. If they've got it, you can order it. Most foods are made to order and the ice cream selection is very broad and allows for hundreds of combinations. Highly recommend their pizza as well.

Went to visit some family that purchased a waterfront property in Reedville so we stopped by to grab some Ice Cream and food. I ordered a BLT w/ Extra Bacon and my spouse ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich w/ Fries and it was great 👍 no complaints it was cheap and pretty tasty so they get 5 stars from me!Parking: Spacious parking around buildingKid-friendliness: Kid Friendly

Ordered the Blue Cheese and Mushroom burger. Honestly, it was a sloppy mess, but ohhh so good! Fries were on point!Staff was friendly and the place is spotless. It's a popular place with my sister's family and I'll be back! Going to try the pizza next. 🍕 😁Update, 2021 -Had lunch with a friend last week, juicy cheese burger and great fries, less than McDonald's and definitely less than a local competitor (but they're also great).I don't live in the area any more (RVA city slicker now) but I try to visit. Sure thankful for a delicious lunch and being able to support such a great place (even though my friend picked up the tab 😂).Keep on keepin' on. We'll pull through. ♥
