If I lived closer, I would live at this store all day. The staff are so welcoming and friendly! The food is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It gets nicer every time I am in town. They have a menu that changes every day, and the food on this menu is down, home goodness! They have everything from salads to dessert....oh the cobber! You won't be disappointed. You can get it to go or eat right there. Just a great country store that aims to please and it shows.

If you’re looking for delicious homemade food than you have to try Elk Creek Store. Everything from “to go” orders, ready-made meals or just snacks and drinks. They have a wide variety and offer yummy specials that change daily. I’m a huge fan of their chili and fried chicken. Great comfort foods. Thanks to the wonderful staff who make it all possible!

Fantastic Lake Store. Little bit of everything for your vacation or daily life needs. 24-hour gas available, ice, firewood, and actually some good food. Stopped by a few mornings to grab a drink and SOS on toast. The SOS was really good. The cashier said there was a lot of retired military in the area, so they made it for them. They have a good amount of fishing supplies and a little bit of boat needs. If you need some groceries, gas, or just a snack, come see the friendly people at Elk Creek.

This store has been under new management for about 3 years now and it shows. Every time you come to this store, something has changed for the better. They now have dining seating outside or a gazebo for seating/picnics. Man, has the menu taken on a new look with great country cooking. The stuffed peppers are great! The chicken is some of the best I have ever had! On the lighter side, are their salads which are a great go to. Everything is so clean and fresh. The greens are definitely the best I have ever had; wish they had them every day, but the menu does change. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Try to sausage, egg, and chesse biscuit for breakfast....if it is not out, they will make it to order! Such a warm and welcoming staff that greats everyone like they are their only customer!! You get the down, home, personal touch every time! Love this place! Thank you Terry and Mike for making a great place to go!

Do not buy cigarettes or dip from this store. They don't sell them by the carton or by the log price. They sell you 10 packs at individual prices. The same with logs of dip. The employees even admitted to me that this is the only way the owner will sell them. Because he is buying them by the carton and by the log and marking them up by the pack and dip can. Thats wrong. A.T.F. should look into this. Sounds like price gouging to me.

Absolutely the spot to go to!!! We were on vacation from Massachusetts to Lake Anna and Terry, Chris and Boo Boo made sure we felt at home. Chicken cooked by Boo Boo was delicious. Terry's personality is awesome and Chris is so friendly. I couldn't recommend this spot anymore.5 STARS!!!

Spent a week on Lake Anna, 8 hr drive drive from Massachusetts. First I have to say that Bubu, Terry, and Chris were very helpful and kind.The chicken was delicious and we made sure to stop and get a coffee every morning while we were there. Great one stop for all your needs from fishing supplies to liquor. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

If you haven't been or it's been awhile, go check out the store!!Revamping the store with up-to-date food, equipment, shelving and other items without trying to "modernize" the store's history has really changed our experience but the hospitality of the staff, PRICELESS!! This place is right on lake Anna, so from the start you expect a certain quality... don't. We went for breakfast and it was horrible, the food was cooked yesterday at the very least and put back out today, the prices are outrageous and the employees have zero personality. It's sad because the store is actually nice and they have a nice set up for the kitchen, but that doesn't help if nothing is fresh. Definitely won't be going back any time soon

Elk Creek Country Store is always a delight. The original store, Garrett's Store was burned down during the civil war and the existing store was build after the war. With so much history surrounding it, how could any history buff not want to check it out?

We used their order online for the first time, we get there and pick it up and we get home 5mins down the rd get the food out to start putting on plates I smell odd smell coming from the box where the tenders are so I open the box and pull the tender apart and smell it and it smelled like ROTTEN FIN FEET All 12 of them!! I have worked in a place with “fresh” hand breaded chicken and have smelled what it smells like to grab a container of chicken open it and be smacked in the face with that gut rinching smell! There is NO way they missed that smell when cooking which tell me they cooked it KNOWING it was rotten!! Will never buy food from them again!
