Ok, so I have been I ballin this place since it came on my radar a few months ago. Today was an amazing day to ride on two wheels. I made the pilgrimage from the city to this place. I was not disappointed. There is nothing on the outside that's gonna tell you what you will find on the inside, but boy o boy make the stop. The food, the southern hospitality the slowing of time. All worth it. They had a cabbage and kielbasa special. Magnificent. Also fresh pizza rolls too! Has all the amenities you need for a road trip. Beer smokes ice bait and all kwik stop stuff in between. Do yourself a favor and stop in if in the neighborhood. Oh, btw, the roads and the color changing of the leaves were all absolutely gorgeous. Look out for deer!

This place is disgusting and very trashy and the employees are extremely rude to the point of threating me and my family saying it's best for our safety if we don't come back this is a filthy place and the employees are no better I'd say it's best u stay far far away from this place

Great place to stop in the "country". They carry about everything you would need instead of going to a grocery store. They also make food to order. The food to order is your typical fried foods and burgers and it hits the spot. They make their burgers fresh each morning, so they are tasty.Service always comes with a smile. Sometimes you may have to wait a few minutes, but that is understandable when one person is running the register and making food at the same timeSupport your small businesses!

Every time I come in everyone is super friendly. You can even grab a quick bite to eat and they'll make it right there on the spot. Great place of business!

There is a deli inside with a wide variety of freshly prepared foods. They are very busy. For a location that is off the beaten path, they are popular with locals as well as lake travelers. Wide variety of beers and sodas. Gift area for last minute gifting. Sit down area if you need a rest. The rest room was down the day we were there but hopefully they have repaired it.

New owner Phillip is a great guy, and he cares about his customers! Not to mention, he's a local himself so he knows what the community has been looking for. Great food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a good beer cave! They carry almost anything else you might need as well.

The. Nidermaiers love everything about this store. The chicken wings are bomb, barbecue, everything. The entire staff is awesome. If this is a plus for anyone they have the coldest beer cave I've ever been in, I freeze lol. Hubby loves it

Will never come back to this place. Went in Saturday to pick up dinner food was good but was allowing people to hang out in there parking lot drinking doing drugs and the most fowl language I have ever heard. Very sad.

THE best food for your money out in the area. The staff are nice and just a all around great feel. They have tables inside. I recommend stopping in for a meal and a drink before heading out to your destination.

Nice place but there a woman that works there with kids and they don't need to be behind the register.. if your going to complain of me on what I say in front of your kids maybe you need to leave them home like most people will do. Do your job and stop managing a family on company time and start running a store.

It's such a cliche that you'll find some of the best food you've ever had in out-of-the-way, hole in the wall little places you'd never venture to unless someone like me insisted you do.And I insist you do visit here for the phenomenal diner food and literally some of the best North Carolina barbecue I've ever had.Get the large sandwich, and prepare to feed three people. This massive sandwich was juicy, without that dried texture you sometimes get with Carolina BBQ. The seasoning was tangy and balanced with saltiness and did not overpower the delicious taste of the meat itself. I got mine with slaw and hot sauce and it was excellent!I also got a mac and cheese to go and it too was on point. It wasn't baked, but had that good slightly bitter note of that good cheddar cheese taste you get with properly prepared mac and cheese normally accompanying BBQ.The kitchen area was very clean and the ladies running it on the day I visited were super friendly and informative and told me all about the menu and their specials. If I lived in this area I would probably eat here every day.Sadly I don't. It's about an hour from Richmond. But a justified and pleasurable hour, touring the backroads of Beaverdam and Bumpass Virginia, past the beautiful Farms, unique and sometimes grande homes, Water Mills, Rivers, creeks and ponds.If I ever want to take a small road trip with the pursuit of excellent food as an excuse, I can think of very few more motivational than this one.

An incredible double cheeseburger, not some frozen patty that you find at a lot of places it was very tasty and one of the best cheeseburgers I've had.Wheelchair accessibility: I have a ramp right near the front door very easy to get in and out of.
