Went to buy there chicken wings and they smelled bad. Had to run to bathroom to wash my hands from the juices running on my hand. So my husband picked a name brand.We checked out . And when we unpacked, as we are traveling in a RV so we drove away. We noticed the Chicken wings we bought were not there....We were miles away till we noticed.Not very happy at all!!

Clean store well organized but they seem to be rather hard on the trainees.If management has a problem they not fast enough that should be addressed in private not in front of the customers.These kids are nervous enough anyway without being embarrassed.A lot of people including my self would rather have a cashier than the self checkout.Maybe get a few more cashier's would solve that problem.

Produce is always fresh and organized. Store is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is sometimes the cashiers completely ignore the customer standing in front of them while they chit-chat with the other cashiers at the check stands. Customers should be your focus.

Food lion always does a good job. Their checkouts are very efficient and they are well stocked. Much better than Kroger in Lexington

New layout/remodel recently makes the store look better, I just wish the aisles were arranged a lil different and not have paper goods wrap into half of another aisle. Was a quick and painless shopping experience nevertheless. There were no lines backed up and they were able to react quickly to multiple customers coming to check out simultaneously.

Staff is always helpful and prices are good. The store serves a small town so it doesn't have a vast assortment of specialty items, but that's no surprise. I always enjoy shopping here and am always treated well.

I'm a regular shopper at this location. They have great staff and management that work to keep the store stocked and check you out in a timely manner. When a customer has a question the staff are easy to find and are approachable.

We were traveling through Virginia and weren’t familiar with the area. We were a little nervous on where to stop and found this food lion in Midland. The parking lot and store was clean and the staff was friendly and accomodating. I’d stop here anytime

Great store for all your shopping needs. Slightly more expensive than Walmart. Pretty good produce, better than Walmart usually. They have, on occasion, been out of a number of things but it only takes a few days to restock.

Found food lion to be as good as I'm use to. Love the new produce set up !!! Items were moved around making it hard for me to fine but, I'll get comfortable with that (smile) The only thing I was displeased with was the economy pks. of ground beef . Only one pk in the entire meat counter !! It was explained to me that they didn't have a meat manger at the time so, ordering ground beef has suffered somewhat for that reason. I usually buy 2 to 3 pks. Was a little disappointed to bring home only 1 pk. Other than what ive stated my visit was what I expected .

The prices were outrageous! I shop at Walmart,Martins and Kroger but was close to Buena Vista so decided to run in for a few things I was astonished at the prices a 1.35 pound of ground chuck was over 8 dollars and that was just the beginning.

I ordered two cakes for my son's second birthday, over the phone. It was a pretty simple order. One themed Thomas the Train, the other, Paw Patrol. Both would say "Happy 2nd Birthday Alexander," and one would be chocolate, one would be vanilla. I told them it didn't matter which one was flavored which. I was to pick them up today, the 25th because his birthday is on Monday the 28th and I want everything to be ready. That was about a week ago. I gave them lots of time. I said if one design wasn't available, Blaze would be okay to replace it, but I definitely wanted at least one of those designs on a cake for my son.WELL. Last night I was called, on really short notice, and a message left that said they had neither one of those available, and told me they had gone ahead and made a Blaze cake and could go pick up the other cake I wanted from the Lexington Food Lion. Something to this effect. Then I called back and asked what was going on, and spoke to someone completely different, and I was told they HAD both the Thomas and Paw Patrol cakes all ready for me to pick up at the Buena Vista location. This was a completely different story than what I'd gotten before. I called Lexington and they said Thomas has been discontinued but I could get Paw Patrol and Blaze, something like that.So I decided I was going to go ahead and order the cakes from Lexington TOO, because I specifically asked for those cakes after looking in the "cake order book" which plainly shows what cakes are available to be made. This is the part where it gets confusing. Apparently Buena Vista and Lexington work together? But I swear every time I called one or the other I got one story completely opposite from anything else. It was so disorganized and made no sense. I just wanted two cakes for my son's birthday! How was it so hard to do this?Extremely hard evidently. So today after an appointment I went into Lexington and re-ordered the cakes there. Since they no longer have Thomas the Train, I ordered Paw Patrol and Blaze. Then I literally drove all the way from Lexington Food Lion to Buena Vista Food Lion to see if they had the cakes I had ordered, that they supposedly "had in the freezer waiting" on me.I get there and I am shown one single Blaze cake, not even what I had originally ordered or wanted, which was literally something that looked like an angry teenager had made when they were mad at their parents. It was sloppy, the icing was not even, "Alexander" is spelled wrong, the colors bleed together, the Blaze truck has a sticker on the front that is literally peeling off of him, and to top it off, since I had asked for one cake to be chocolate and one to be vanilla, they combined the two and gave me a cake which was half chocolate and half vanilla. It didn't even say "Happy 2ND Birthday, Alexander," because they left the "2nd" out.And they had the gall to charge me over $24.00 for this cake!!!! Are you serious!?!?! But being as that I have integrity and because I ordered an item, I went up and paid for it. I did not bother to hide the disappointment on my face. So wow, Buena Vista! I certainly hope Lexington can do better than this when I pick up the Paw Patrol and re-ordered Blaze cake. I am livid! I will try to upload pictures of the cake to this website!!As for the regular grocery store, it changes all the time and as soon as you learn where the peanut butter is they move it again.
