If I could I would give it a minus. You can't get through the Isles, the cart's are full of totes that have been sitting in the isles for days . Frozen foods sitting outside the building. Carts rolled over the clothes that were already laying on the floor. The stock room piled so high that the Fire Marshall and OSHA would have a field day. No visible fire extinguisher and one day the store was open and no one ever came to the front we never even saw anyone. This place needs to close permanently

The store never seems to open on time. The aisles are always cluttered with boxes and.carts. It's always filthy. Staff is not very friendly.

Not impressed with how poor the service at this store has gotten over the years I’ve been here for Uni. Store has become generally cluttered, cramped, and disorganized. There is such a ridiculous amount of stuff everywhere.Before getting into things I should note this is coming more from the viewpoint of my position back home as a Sr. Associate and the unofficial night manager of the location I work than as a customer—these problems are what cause stores to lose business.Regarding cramping and disorganization, for example, in the front corner by the registers is the budget electronics section—there are multiple shipper towers that are crammed so closely together that you can’t even access half of their contents and it makes getting to the actual merchandise shelf a hassle. In this same corner there is also a shopping cart full of those small cans of spirits/cocktails crammed into the middle of everything that just lends to this issue—now apply this sort of organization problem to the rest of the store. There is also so much overstock that there is a massive amount of random items that are discounted and just left outside—which makes the front of the store looks like a mess. I’ve found expired perishables on shelf’s consistently.Regarding clutter, there is constantly boxes from inventory deliveries everywhere. I don’t think there’s been a single time I’ve been in this store during the current semester (Fall ‘22) that there hasn’t been trash and/or un-shelved inventory scattered about. Many things aren’t in the correct location within their sections, as though whoever was stocking just said “close enough” and tossed stuff on shelves—having had to get after co-workers for this same problem within my own employment—this causes the issues with ordering stock in which you order more of what you actually have and none of what you actually need. There is also damaged product that never gets taken care of (one example of which being an open case of the Blueberry Pomegranate Mountain Dew energy with cans missing that’s been on a shelf in the back of the store at least since I got back on Campus in August—maybe longer).Another glaring issue that’s just terrible customer service—if you have incorrect price tags, discount adverts, and other mark downs on *official* store signage, generally the proper thing to do is to mark things down and go correct the offending signage. Customers come to the counter with the expectations *you as the store* have laid out for them—a store reset doesn’t justify subverting that unless the customer is the one that benefits from it.

Love this store. Been shopping here for years. Sure do miss the mechanical horse that sat out front for Lord knows how long. Lol

The store was supposed to be open an 1 and 1/2 hours ago, and the employees inside have yet to open the store up. Countless other customers have tried to go inside as well, with the same result. I suggest this entire location be reevaluated and for all the current employees to be disciplined or fired. This is the closest store in town and people need to use it to get food and supplies for work. It is sickening the lack of responsibility and management that is at this Family Dollar in Buena Vista, VA.

Food is moldy, store is a mess, never open when it's supposed to be. Sherry the store manager was absolutely unprofessional and aggressive. What a mess!!! Get training and staff in here that works.
