Pulled off at this exit because Gas Buddy posted a lower price for diesel than was correct and decided to eat here. What great fortune for us! Food was delicious, well priced, generous portions. I had the fish sandwich and chili fries. Travel buddy has eggs, grits, bacon, and toast. Both had coffee. I had a juice. Bill was $30 and we both had leftovers! Pull off for your meal here - you won't regret it!

Service was excellent. I ordered the shrimp and grits thinking it was Et tou fe style. It's wasn't. That's OK. Ordered collard greens as a side, they were tangy, not savory. Baked Mac n cheese was banging tho. Forgot to get a pic of that. My son ordered the Mac n cheese burger and loved it.Views were stunning. It was raining but we could peak through blinds.Overall would come here again, ill probably just order something different. Again, Service was phenomenal.

So so so good. I will come back here any time we drive to or from tennessee or Georgia to visit family. Amazing drinks, the friendliest staff, and some of the most delicious southern food I’ve had in my life. I know it’s not good for me and I just don’t care haha. Absolutely worth every bite. I had been craving some well made mashed potatoes for the longest time and had been so dissapointed by other places. The mashed potatoes and gravy here were to die for and the patty melt was spectacular. My spouse got sliders and salt and vinegar waffle fries and his food was amazing too. This place is just phenomenal and I want to try everything.

Other reviews are not exaggerating; possibly one of the best hamburgers I have eaten (Fried Mozz). There are also tons of other unique burgers and sides including the sweet potato fries which are also amazing (comes with its own sweet dipping sauce). Definately stop by for a bite and drink if passing through while you enjoy the mountain view.

We were visiting the Caverns and the Natural Bridge in Virginia this weekend. After a full morning of hiking we were looking for a place to eat lunch and We found ourselves at the Foot of the Mountain Cafe. To start we order the crab dip appetizer , it was delicious. Next we order the pimiento cheese chicken sandwich with fried green tomatoes and chipotle Mayo and it was a hit. We loved the diversity in the menu and definitely recommend you visit.

Incredible little spot along I-81. We drove down to try them out for lunch and we’re not disappointed. The Pimento Cheese/Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer was excellent. I also had the Chicken Caesar wrap with sweet potato fries (best I’ve ever had). The homemade sauces were delicious. I rarely take left overs home but did not want to leave any behind. Great spot for a Saturday drive!

This was a fantastic pit stop after a long day. My friends enjoyed their burgers and beer. I had a veggie burger which was absolutely wonderful! Because of my food allergies they even did it special in its own pan and I was very comforted by the care that they took. The only quirky thing that I would say is when we were outside they could have used a sailing fan to promote some air quality. One of my friends had a dog so we did choose to sit outside. That's the only thing that I would recommend at one point they may add to their outdoor seating. The ventilation was quite difficult. No matter what the food quality, care and service was very good!If you have found my review helpful please give me a thumbs up 👍 and feel free to follow me for future reviews.Vegetarian options: Pan-fried so that it didn't have any meat on their homemade veggie burger!Dietary restrictions: I have food allergies and they were very considerate. They do have plenty of options that you can navigate and fix your meal with your friends or familyParking: Most of it was a dirt lot. The area that they had handicap parking was good and they have a ramp that is also good.Kid-friendliness: Overall a very friendly casual place with plenty of seating and menu optionsWheelchair accessibility: Definitely okay with parking and a full ramp

Literally still sitting in the restaurant but I couldn't wait to leave a review. Adorable restaurant. The sweetest staff. Fast service. The menu items were so unique and DELICIOUS! I live an hour and a half away and stopped in after hiking but would absolutely make the drive just for this restaurant. A must have in my opinion is the chili burger.

I and my husband were driving down from New york State, where we live, and we stopped by for dinner. I'm so happy we did their menu. It has so much food they offer, and it's really good as well. We definitely will be stopping by there again when we drive back up to the southern states .. hint they are in a little kiddy corner, so u will need to pay attention 😉

Friend of mine told me about this place. Said he & Wife go up often for Supper, as well as other Family & Friends.Wife & I made the 25-30 minute trip up I-81 to the Arcadia Exit (#168). New it had something going for it, by the line of vehicles outside. They had a sign on door letting Customers know they were short staffed & please be patient. Walked in & was greeted with a smiling face. She said we could sit wherever. We asked if there was room on the outside patio, which there was.Sat down and greeted by Waitress with Menus & Silverware. Let us know our Waitress would be right out. Tiffani (sp?) was our Waitress & was wonderful start to finish. They have a fantastic menu, with many selections. We both came for the Burger on our 1st visit. Jen got the Outback Burger & Onion Rings. Has horseradish sauce on it & they bring a side to dip in. I had the Breakfast of Champs Burger & Salt/Vinegar Fries. The Beef is from a local farm, D&D in Fincastle, VA just down the road a piece. From the first bite to the last you could taste the freshness!A small thing, but certainly of note. We both got Ice Water. The water had no aftertaste. Seems like a lot of Restaurants these days water has it, but not here. The lasting impression is they were short staffed & busy......but the Waitresses(we saw a few outside) all had sunny depositions, even as the night was wearing on. There Owners were in the back helping Cook. They are to be commended for their Staff & their Food!!! 😋We already are planning to go back, next time taking 2 other Couples who have never been. Support local & enjoy a great view too! 🌄

The service was good and the staff was nice, the food was good as well. For our appetizer we got the sweet potato fries, for our main courses my husband had the buffalo chicken wrap, and I had the Strawberry Spring Salad.Only negative about the restaurant is that the water pressure in the women’s bathroom was extremely low and we had an ant crawling on our table after we got our appetizer.Kid-friendliness: Kid’s menu is also a coloring page. The restaurant also was very accommodating to our ordering needs.

Hubby and I are a great lunch here today! We shared the pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes, I had a 1/2 Southwestern Salad, and he had Shrimp and Pasta dish.Didn’t get any pictures of his because he ate it all. Leigh was a great waitress-very attentive!Parking: Parking is close to the building.

Came after our time at Natural Bridge and we LOVED everything we tried. Fried Sampler was so tasty! We tried 3 different burgers, each unique and delicious. We had no room for dessert but we ordered some to take home. We figured if the meal was so good, the dessert would have to follow suit. DEFINITELY recommend stopping in for a delicious meal

This was a great surprise along i81. We pulled off for gas and were so hungry but the exit didn't look like there was any place to eat. Across the street from the gas station was Foot Of the Mountain and it had many cars in the lot. I'm glad we went there to eat it was great. The service was so good and all the staff was super friendly. They all seemed to care about the customer. It seems like a local place but so welcoming to all. The food is made to order and outstanding. The sweet potato fries best ever along with the cheese grits. Burgers are huge and yummy. On our way out we put a pin in the map to show where we were from. Great place!

We took our daughter today for lunch. She heard about the place and wanted to go for her birthday. So me my wife our daughter and grandson went. The waitress we had was awesome. Wish I was better at remembering names. She took our appetizer order and also our 3yr old grandson order because he was hungry and couldn't wait on us. I can not find one thing to complain about with the appetizer our my meal. I also tried a bite of my wife's Philly cheese steak it is by fair the best I have had. My daughter got a hamburger of some kind and loved it. The waitress was grate about keeping our dranks filled and on top of anything eles we may have needed. Everyone in the place was friendly and thanked us for coming in. If you're looking for some fresh cooked food friendly services look no further this is the place for you. Also the price for the the quality food and service you get is great. I've spent more at chain restaurants for frozen food with not much taste and poor service. This is a local gem in dead. Plus I get the feeling and impression it's independent owed.Kid-friendliness: They went above and beyond to make sure my grandson got his food fast they brought it out with the appetizer for him. Because he was hungry

Was in town sightseeing at the natural bridge. OMG so good! Only 15 minutes away and in such a pretty area! Got the crab dip and I got the Emily burger and everything was good! Friendly people that work there too. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

We had heard this place was hit or miss….more miss than hit when we went tonight. The onion rings were very good, but things went downhill after that. I had a burger with coleslaw. Burger was a little undercooked and slaw had NO flavor at all. Wife had a grilled cheese and what they call“baked beans”. The bread on her sandwich was almost bone dry which made it toasted and not grilled and was very light on the cheese, it definitely did not cover the bread. Her side of beans had bacon and sausage in it so you would expect some flavor…you would be mistaken. The best part of the experience was our waitress.Allie was on point with her service and care of us. It’s a shame that the kitchen’s product doesn’t support the front of the house’s efforts.

I was skeptical at first but pleasantly suprised with the food! I loved the southwest turkey wrap and the baked macaroni was NEXT LEVEL! The salt and vinegar waffle fries were very good and my family also loved their food. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the mozzarella sticks, they were basic frozen mozzarella sticks so nothing special about them. I will be back.

Partaking in any Natural Bridge activity from the Dinosaur Kingdom to the Saffari to the Natural Bridge State Park, this is a must stop for lunch. The prices are slightly high but most of the menu is locally sourced.Wife and I each had a burger and they were some of the best burgers we've ever had. Our server was kind and the atmosphere was very laid back. We'll go out of our way to stop again and eat.

I wish I could give a better review, but after a 20-minute wait, we got our room-temperature burgers and mac and cheese despite only a few people there. The ingredients were creative, and we were excited to eat there, but cold burgers are like hockey pucks. The only thing warm was the onion rings. When we told the waitress that several things were cold, she warmed the mac and cheese - a little.

We had our wedding reception at Foot of the Mountain Cafe on October 1st 2022. Since we live in North Carolina, all of our coordination was done remotely with the exception of a few in-person meetings with Brian. The week prior to our wedding they had a huge issue with the restaurant being closed down, but Brian and the landlord worked diligently to be sure they were open in time for our reception. I cannot say enough good things about Brian and his staff! They were incredibly accommodating, the service was impeccable, and the food was amazing. Because we only had about 35 people, we were able to order directly off the menu so everyone could choose what they wanted. My son and his wife are vegans and Brian was even able to provide them with a delicious vegan dinner option. Even though it was in the middle of Hurricane Ian, we were able to use the outdoor patio which was enclosed with heaters. Working with Brian was a dream and I would highly recommend using him and his restaurant to host your event!

This restaurant is right off the highway and has beautiful views of the mountain from any seat in the place. The food was great overall. I had an order of breaded wings with Asian zing sauce, the Blackburn burger, and collard greens. Burger was cooked perfect med-well just as ordered. The collard greens were absolutley amazing. The wings had great flavor but the breading was falling off so the was not great. Staff was all very friendly, our waitress seem to be new but still did a great job. Overall I would absolutely eat here again and get lots more greens

This is a perfect stop off the highway. We had a the Williams Wonder with fired jalapenos and mango bacon jam, chili & grilled cheese, grilled jerk chicken with sides. They have a little bar tucked away as well. We went in winter but it looks like they have patio seating. Clean, friendly and welcoming. We may have found our new 64 81 travel stop. Coming back for pie ❤️
