First time visiting here today. Was in a rush and didn't get to look much. I have to say I was very impressed on my first time here. I saw a few good deals. Had a good selection on baby chicks. Definitely coming back to check it out.

Came in and noticed there was no popcorn in the machine, waited in line 5 minutes to ask about getting a big bag of popcorn to go.Was told no problem and that it would be 15 minutes and that I could do some shopping while we wait.After shopping and coming back within the 15 minute ask the popcorn was still empty.This time I posted up by the machine to quietly wait and be patient while hoping someone would notice and fill it.After thirty minutes of waiting and me politely asking several associates for assistance I was told that they could not make me a big bag because they needed it for others to use as they walked in.That’s perfectly fine but please do not waste my time by saying you can do something and then changing your mind about it after asking me to wait THIRTY minutes standing there looking like a dummy.

Bought a few beautiful nectarine trees and weeping willow. Very healthy trees and have a lot better selection than other places. Only place I've found with cherry and nectarine trees at a reasonable price. Also got the bunnies everything they need from here aa well

Great place to get almost anything you can think of. Only problem is lack of cashiers and no self checkout. Usually lines are backed way up. That is the only complaint I have about the place. Employees are always polite and knowledgeable.

Had an awful experience with an employee. She told me the price of an item, i asked, it's not on sale? She said no. I thanked her and let her know a whole pile of them were under 2 large sale signs so they will probably want to move the signs. She became combative with a lot of attitude letting me know repeatedly that it's my fault for misunderstanding. I didn't argue or anything, i stayed kind but she ruined my day being ugly for no darn reason.

First stop I got a little bag of freshly popped popcorn. Then we found a trashcan we were looking for and a mat for outside. Then I went back to sporting goods to give it a good look over but I didn't find anything I needed. I also bought a nice LED flashlight which they have several to choose from and at good prices.

Has about anything a person could need far garden and outdoor. Plus reasonable prices. Every where else has got outrageous. Bought from tractor supply and thousands of $ from mize. Everything I buy from them has at least doubled in price in the past year. Mize has more than doubled since they are now Ace Hardware. In the past 2 years Rural King has ent up a small amount. Other places will go by RK prices if you buy from them but why be so expensive anyway. Our donkeys got to where the would go hungry before they ate tractor supply feed. Don’t know what’s happened around here but prices and quality have really suffered. Bought over 10$ of horse shoeing supplies at mize. Started ordering them because the prices got so high. Hopefully Rural King won’t go crazy like that. It’s hard for the farmers to survive now and companies are making it worse. Greed by big companies is all I can figure. Our country is in a mess and between the government and bid business they are killing the consumers. Hopefully Rural King won’t do that. Thanks.

Miss the Bruder toys. I've not gone to a RK since I left Florida. Love these stored, but miss the Toys. Bruder cannot be found just anywhere. I'm surprised in a Rural community, that there would be toys from Bruder. It was my go to place at Christmas for my Grandchildren.

I bought a 10weeks old bunny 2/25/2024 and then march29/2024 he passed away my daughter is heartbroken .... maybe he was too young to leave the mother before being at the royal king store....he had plenty of food in his cage and water bottle was pretty much still full ...I don't know why he would have passed away so suddenly he was so young...

For a farm supply store that focuses so much on selling baby chicks they sure don't keep duck and chicken feed in stock. This is clearly one of your biggest sellers so you'd think you'd keep it stockpiled. Clothing here is overly expensive as well.

I went on black Friday to get a dog harness. Even though it was 1:00 pm it was still black Friday so I get the stress employees go through as I've worked black Friday several years for Walmart. I get my harness and proceed to the registers which we're very backed up. I pick a line and get in it along with several people doing the same. From behind us up on a step ladder thing a woman in a black shirt starts screaming "people need to quit skipping line!!!" Another customer asked if she had skipped line. The employee(in the black shirt) again screams "yes can you people not see the line" as she points to the other side of the store. Honestly no we couldn't as the entire store was packed. I asked her why she had to scream and she basically denied it. In the end some signs at the entrance and maybe in the register area could have helped direct people to a pre register queue line. Also instead of standing up on steps, talking to other employees and screaming at people if the lady would have simply walked around and directed people as to where the line started it would have been helpful. Not sure who was in charge of your all's black Friday disaster but I'd definitely rethink it before next year. I gladly went elsewhere to buy the harness and will also gladly spend my couple hundred dollars weekly on feed elsewhere.

Great store with some good deals if you look around, but on somethings they are priced high as in ammo and stuff of that sorts

My husband picked up some summer sausages for holiday gifts and they are expired. It is mid December and the sausage expired in mid October. I know as a customer we need to look out for expiration dates but that far out is foul and it isn't worth the gas cost to take them back. There are good deals to be had at Rural King but letting food sit on the shelf that long past expiration is kinda ridiculous and it gives me the feeling of being had.

Hard to find anyone to help you.. Also when getting feed and going to load. I have sat at gate for over 20min. Plus they will not answer the phone when I called to tell them no one was here.. Very Very frustrating…. Esp. Since you have to sit in roadway waiting… NOT VERY SAFE AT ALL!! Notice there isn’t picture of where u have to load.

Great place ,I could stay there all day.There are so much to see. Great place to Christmas shop something for everyone.I enjoyed witching the baby chicks.my first time there and I hope to go back.oh don't forget the free popcorn.you bag it yourself.I would give it a 10 if you had that many stars.you have to go check it out.

We love Rural King at home and we were glad to see them expanding in Bristol, Virginia. We arrived in Bristol on opening day but it was too busy to feel comfortable entering.I went back in the morning one day as they were opening and pretty much had the clean, large and well stocked store to myself.The employees were helpful, the cashiers were efficient and the whole experience was exactly what we have come to expect from Rural King.

Love Rural King . Their clothes and shoes I will admit are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and everything I've gotten there is great quality.If you haven't been there , GO check it out , if you purchase nothing at all you can still have ( FREE POPCORN ) 😁

1. Overall, love the store, products, and prices. My only gripe is what is up with the maintenance here?? I mean, c'mon now, the Mens bathroom - door broken, both urinals out of order, faucet broken, one stall out of order.... I mean, it's like someone dropped a bomb in here, and apparently, there's no maintenance expense in this store, or management could care less.2. Tool/ hardware Depts aren't zoned the way they should be. Shelves and products are just disorganized and not where they should be. It's kinda like a Big Lots coming in here. Nails section looks like a tornado hit it. Stuff is just strewn everywhere. And products don't have a home spot with a tag and out of stock with not even a tag identifying that the products are even sold here.Wheres the oversight of a dept manager??? I guess their like the bathroom, broken- out of order.

One of my favorite stores of Rural King! They usually have everything stocked pretty good. The store is clean and organized. I shop here often because of the reliability of stock.I only wish Rural King corporate could see to their stores stocking spring water. I'm told that when a natural disaster comes that the water is sent to it. I don't know but I am spoiled on the spring water and will only settle for it.
