My son and I stopped in during a long 13 hr drive. The place was not busy- only a few other tables were occupied. (Rainy Monday, Early Evening) The atmosphere was nice, inviting, quiet, clean. The order did take longer than expected- as I see in other’s comments, but not so long that we felt skipped over.. and staff came by to update on the order a couple of times, which helped.The service was great, the gentleman taking our order gave recommendations and helped work around our likes/dislikes and vegan diet to create a pizza, and a grilled hoagie, plus some drinks. (total approx $40/ reasonable) He was super helpful and spent some time with us. The food was hot, looked so good and was delicious! One of the best vegan pizzas we’ve had. We ordered the large size pizza -(huge!)had a lot ‘to go’ and as we asked for boxes, the guy offered to set us up with fresh drinks to go ( knowing we had many hrs of driving ahead of us). That was so nice!Dietary restrictions: Several Vegan options.

Stopped in on a road trip looking forward to the Cloud 9 wings I visit every Mellow I come across.. Ordered food and they had no wings 👎 Pizza was fresh and good, I might add the Hoagie is an impossible thing to eat without disassembly then reassembly, little too messy for my likings. Service otherwise was good she did well. But the wait was an hour and a half with 4 other people in the building.

It's always a good meal if garlic is involved. The Holy Shiitake pizza has become the only pizza I crave. Add in an order of cheesy spinach dip and I've got all I want. Great food, great service, fun atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Mellow Mushroom is always a great place to eat. Please give me a thumbs up 👍 if this helped you. Thanks!!

Server was awesome, he was the only one they had tonight and served many tables at once! I built my own burger with bacon and cheese. When it came out it was over cooked and dry also didn't have any bacon. Also my side was roasted potatoes and was given a bag of kettle chips instead. Our server gave a discount because the cooks didn't give the correct side with my meal. My Husbands pizza was perfect. It took almost an hour to get our food but the 2 guys in the kitchen were standing around talking most of the time. Will definitely not be going back anytime soon!

My wife and I ate here for an early dinner. We had three appetizers from the happy hour half price menu and a calzone. Our server, Emily, was outstanding. She made great recommendations, was friendly, and kept our glasses filled! We enjoyed our visit and will go back again. Thanks!!

One of the best pizzas in the area. The crust is wood-fired til crispy and the toppings always seem fresh. If you don’t mind a wait, stop in for the huge beer list and and spicy beer cheese!Great service and atmosphere.If you want more than one pizza, go halfsies!

What used to be one of the best places in the area to sit down, have a pizza, and enjoy a drink with friends has now turned into one of the worst in the area. Took two and a half hours to get one pizza for my autistic child. I can understand that if you had to make the dough and actually let the dough rise that would be a different story, having worked at a pizza place for 5 years myself I know that this is not the problem! It took us 45 minutes to get a refill on our drinks after they sat empty. The prices are absolutely outrageous for a pizza that's covered in grease. Save yourself time, money, and convenience and drive up to Moondog in Abingdon and enjoy a better experience. If you want a proper Mellow Mushroom experience go to Johnson City not this one.

I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. I don't often see a packed house. However I was in the mood for pizza. Good pizza was my wife's only stipulation when I asked if she was in the mood for pizza. We had the pretzel bites and beer cheese. Followed by the chicken Q pizza. The pretzel bites were just as described. Warm and lightly crispy like the best kind of pretzel. The pizza was out of this world. I was a little reluctant to order the chicken Q pizza. We added pineapple and feta cheese and there's no way to go wrong with that combination. The thin crust was perfect and was not wasted. I don't usually eat the bones of the crust. But these left over pizza handles weren't bones. They were a continuation of goodness that was buttery and crisp. Just complete perfection. Love the atmosphere. Mellow mushroom still never disappoints. Even in a new state and city. Love this place. Wanted to mention our servers name she was apparently running the front end that day. She is the bartender, receptionist, server and hostess. I'm ashamed for not remembering her name. Next time...

The pizza was good, though tad overpriced in my opinion. The service wasn't the best. It took a long time before anyone bothered to come and even take our drink order. The wait was so long, we literally almost got up and left. There was only two other tables with people there, so not sure what the wait was all about. I might go back again one day.

Awesome. The pizza was perfect. The atmosphere was perfect. Our server was perfect. (Summer). I think this is a must go to. The beer list went on and on. 5 stars. Six for Summer.

The pizza was great. With 3 beers and a large pizza, I didn’t really see a $65 value, but it is what it is. Everything was good. Unfortunately they no longer have my favorite pizza: the baked potato pizza. Nor do they have the Louisiana Bourbon Barrel Aged Ale on tap anymore, so that was disappointing since that was the only reason we came back. Good place if you are willing to spend more on a pizza.

My husband and I stopped in after driving 13 hours from Florida. Was seated fairly quickly after someone had to wipe off a table for us. Was not busy when we got there. We were served our sodas and order was taken. Large pizza. Waited 45 minutes without anyone checking on us, or telling us our pizza would be out soon. 3 other tables came in after us and got food, ate and left while we were still waiting. Needless to say we left a couple dollars on the table for drinks and continued on our way without pizza…..

I moved to Bristol 11 months ago, and this was my first visit. Wow! What an incredible surprise the Mellow Mushroom was! The service and the food were outstanding! Lots of chances to have a Mellow Mushroom pizza before but none have ever come to fruition. Today changed that. I ordered the large Mighty Meaty with the thin crispy crust.Waited 45 minutes and headed over. Waited another 15 for the curbside service. I was lapped twice by people pulling up and going in. I didn’t know that was how it worked…. My pizza came out with no napkins or plates… no one asked either. Look when your pizza is above $30 you should offer…. That said when I opened the box is wasn’t very hot. Note to self to go in and get it IF there’s a next time. Oh and my crust was absolutely not crispy. A bit disappointing.I have to say when I took my first bite I was impressed. Very flavorful. A great combination of flavors. If it was just a little hotter it would’ve been almost perfect. So yeah, I think I’m going to hunt down another mellow mushroom in my next city and check out more of the menu.

Pizza is pretty good but not $32 for a large that's a very small large good service is trash waitress didn't even know what a red bull vodka was. Ordered pizza at 5 pm with 2 other tables of people in here and took almost an hour for just a pizza...got our bill it was $90 because they charged us for 2 pizzas when we only got one...save your money go somewhere else....

The pizza was absolutely the best pizza we’ve ever eaten. The peach tea was to die for and our service was excellent!! If I could rate higher I would. We are definitely coming back and making this place a monthly go to eat out place for sure. Although I do not remember our servers name he was on top of things quick and did his job efficiently. Service was definitely immaculate. If you are a fan of ranch dressing ask for ranch trust me.Kid-friendliness: They have coloring sheets for kids and hang them up when the kids finish them.

We did a to go order an hour ahead of time for a specific time pick up. When we got there, we had to wait for 20 minutes extra for the food. To top it all off, we didn’t get any utensils and I ordered a salad. Never again will I order from this place.
