Was checking out 2/27 a little bit after 7pm and had an AMAZING young man named Buddy bagging our groceries. His customer service was 10/10. However, KRISTINA, the store manager was a 0/10. While Buddy was speaking to us, KRISTINA ROUSE came up and told him "SHUT UP AND BAG!". Buddy has down syndrome and KRISTINA the manager was SO RUDE AND DEGRADING towards him. The customers around us were shocked and so were we. We will never go back to this Food City. COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!

Value everyday….FOOD CITY 😆 this is one of the smaller food citys around but still a good store to shop at. I buy my meat and produce from Food City ONLY. Always have good deals, these are usually $8 a can and I got them all for $1 each on close out and YES they are all still in date

FOOD CITY THINKS EVERYBODY IS A THIEF NOW. Took my 80 year old mother to get groceries, we had a big cart with few items, she puts her oxygen machine into cart to have enough room. took to self-check out, was told no more big carts through self-check out. They have had aAlot of thievery with people with big carts, the attendants couldn't keep up with items. So I said does food city think everybody a thief now, no reply. We were told go through the check out lanes, looked over two cahiers and lines with three to four people waiting in lines, we just left the cart and walked out. So now food city thinks everybody a thief, well we went to wal-mart, no problems and lower prices. I have never in my life been felt like I was a thief. Food city is going down fast. Iam going to tell family, friends, church everybody I know how food city is now and the direction they are going.there is other grocery stores out there people with lower prices and treat you with faith as a human being. Shame on you Steve Smith for thinking everybody a thief now.

This food city is now the one I shop at because I recently moved. It's nice, clean, organized & well stocked. The staff is always friendly. It's a little smaller store but overall it's great!

Not too busy at 7pm Got in/Got out in 30min or less. Self-checkout works for all items except alcohol.They are a little lax on Bonham Rd store. When checkout lines are 2 deep, their sign says we open another line. They don't do that all the time.

Disgusting chicken salad sandwich. Idk why Food City is so inconsistent with its recipes. Where are the grapes? Where are the sliced almonds? I’m tired of wasting my money on inconsistent garbage at this grocery store chain. Do it right or don’t do it at all.

Food City is awesome, learn how to work sales, it's always clean,got to have a butcher if you sale meat they have great ones, best thing about Food City is...Come on we all know what it is...Load my cart while I'm shopping,don't have to unload it at the register.Great front end .Don't let your head get to big Food City saving here cutting there, just a little more every year it's what we all dislike about the giant grocery chains .You may overtake them all but remember this.Penny pinchers are what kills the bonds with your employees and your customers.Beware the person says they can save a penny by doing this or that.Pay attention to the person that says we can do this better but it may cost us a couple of cents.Employees...listen to themCustomers...keep them happyYou...don't let your head make you top heavy,keep the bottom strong, sharing the wealth makes a strong foundation don't forget that. Don't become average.

They were putting rotten fish for sale yesterday. My wife accidentally bought one. That Was disgusting and the experience of going back and returning it was very unpleasant. I will never shop here again

Prices are way too high here but in the deli dept Pam is fine person who knows her job well and she is very polite and helpful. Thank God for some good people .

If they'd fix the women's bathroom, it would be fantastic. As it is, I feel like I'm in a dirty gas station bathroom with only 1 working toilet that's ALWAYS dirty.Update: After writing a review, they finally got sound to fixing the bathroom, like, pretty much immediately. That tells me they could've done it sooner. Glad they got it taken care of though. It's actually been clean since as well.

This was my first time at this location, and I must say that I was very impressed.Tyler was very helpful helping me find shaved beef, and, Ethan was very nice and neat.Both of these young men are the pictures of success.Chris (Store Manager) was also very nice when I called to complement his store.Food City is very fortunate to have all of them working for their company.

I wish our local food city in Erwin was more like the this location ( In Virginia). Better produce n better meat options (sizes of packaged meat). I'm just not impressed n it's a brand new store too...

Claims they take WIC, has clear signs right under items “WIC ELIGIBLE,” but yet would not let me pay for my WIC ELIGIBLE items using my WIC card!! Guess what? I know I’m not the first woman ever to use WIC, yet I’ve had issues with stores not wanting to take it when they claim they do. Am I the only one experiencing this? Took 2 managers & 2 cashiers to figure out they were clearly wrong in the situation because you can’t say your store accepts WIC & then not take it as payment. Clowns. My booklet from the Virginia Dept. of Health clearly states if any “WIC ELIGIBLE STORE” denies WIC as a form of payment they must be reported & you bet I will be doing that because I’ve absolutely had enough. The main manager working tonight laughed in my face & said “it wasn’t really her problem even as manager” & had a NASTY attitude for our entire interaction. Actually, it very much is your problem. I was shocked. I’ve worked in customer service, if that had been me acting that way to a customer I would’ve been fired. There’s NO WAY they allow you to behave that way. I’m the only one that should’ve been upset in the situation so the way she acted was completely disgusting and uncalled for ESPECIALLY as manager. She does not deserve that position since she clearly doesn’t know how to treat human beings. I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s had an issue, others are probably just too nervous to call out this ridiculous behavior from store and workers.

New to the area, and having to familiarize my self with regional stores. Food city is a nice grocery store 😀 Reminds me of a Publix back home. They have fresh made sushi, a cafe, and bakery to die for! Staff was friendly and helpful, store was clean. Definitely made me a customer! 👍

I’ve shopped at the Euclid Ave location for years with zero issues and decided to stop at the Bonham location out of convenience recently. I should of just used the few extra minutes and few extra miles to go to Euclid Ave. After spending $175 on diapers, hygiene items, and a stuffed narwhal we had a very inappropriate encounter while leaving the self-checkout area. While I was checking out an employee asked me if I knew my daughter had the narwhal and if it had been scanned. I told her yes and went about my business not really thinking anything of it. As we are getting ready to leave the store the employee reached down into the car my daughter was sitting in and took the stuffed narwhal out of my daughters hand. As this point my daughter is clearly upset, because some stranger took her toy. I’m upset, because a stranger got close enough to my daughter to actually grab something out of her hand. I took the narwhal back and told the woman that it had already been paid for. Then the store employee goes and gossips to a group of more store employees about the situation. I’m fed up at this point and approached the group of employees and presented the receipt to prove that I had indeed paid for the $6.99 narwhal. I will not return to Bonham Road Food City. Employees need to be told not to touch other peoples children, grab things out of people’s hands, or be that close to other people’s children during the middle of a pandemic. Is a $6.99 narwhal really worth all of that?

This is my store but because of quality of customer service I goto Euclid. Does not seem standardized floor plan. And I've had one too many bad experienced with mgr Marcus. Not very friendly. Makes me wonder if he is racist. After my experience at bonhams today I believe I may have to consider finding new store

It’s food city, what else can you say. Decent stuff at a slightly higher price.-2 stars because they constantly do things to make themselves look good in the community while treating their employees like garbage.-1 star because it’s a little expensive for what you get compared to other stores.

Food City has many of the speciality items myself and my daughter needed at reasonable prices. The store was clean and well kept. The associates were helpful, professional and friendly. Overall, it was an enjoyable shopping experience.
