The other day my coworkers were asking how I spent my birthdays growing up and I shared that no matter what, I always celebrate with an ice cream cake. Today when I got to work, I was absolutely blown away when they surprised me with quite literally the most beautiful red velvet ice cream cake I have ever laid my eyes on. It tasted great, but looked even better. The details on this cake were seriously out of this world! Mallory did an amazing job and truly made my day. Thank you!!

We don't see it ? We all ordered 3 different flavors and1-black raspberry good flavor cup2- cookies and cream not impressed at all cup3- salted Carmel chocolate chunk AWFUL cone first not one hint if salt , ice cream tasted old and crystals not creamy and the cone was empty EMPTY , $15- for 3 ice creams I'm sorry we was not impressed at all don't understand nice place clean looked to be steady employee's friendly but sorry was reading on the wall starting in 2017 was supposed to the place for ice-cream no way I don't think we will give this place a second at all not worth it , for hopefully the owner who replied look up Nathan's ice cream Manassas or MO MO in bealton these are what you should be comparing yourself too not just saying thankful lots of people enjoy so you can employ your staff we came to a local place to spend MONEY not a chain and wazwas off our path like I said ice cream is old and can't believe cone was empty would expect that fro. A chain or someone who didn't care too bad you guys don't care with that common response

Stopped by on a Tuesday around 3pm. Place was not busy and only had about 4 cars come through during our visit. Establishment was kept very clean and staff was friendly.Tried the Kids (1 scoop) Lemon Sorbet, Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich, and a Small (2 scoop) Vanilla/Black Raspberry. Sorbet was as expected.Mint Chip sandwich was very frozen and really lacked the smoothness of many others we have tried.Vanilla was quite disappointing. It was not smooth or creamy, contained a good bit of butterfat clumps, and left a waxy film in your mouthBlack Raspberry on the other hand was quite good. It was very smooth and creamy and was one of the better ones that I have tried.If you are in the area, it is worth a stop by this local establishment, but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend you go far out of your way to try it out.

Currently trying to convince my mom to relocate to this area so we can come here all the time!! So good and so many choices!Update: had to stop again on the drive back home! Got to see a beautiful sunset and tried a couple different flavors. We tried Chocolate, Vanilla, Fresh Banana, and Cookies and Cream!! All were SO GOOD!

Delicious homemade ice cream. They even offer gluten free and dairy free options. I had the peach, it reminded me of the ice cream my family would make every fourth if July. I can't wait to go back for more ice cream when I visit my bonus daughter at JMU.

Smiley's ice cream has fabulous tasting ice cream and a huge variety and very good prices and very good customer service and I was surprised when me and my mother pulled in and we're the only ones there and a lot of other people started pouring in along with some First Responders. I was really surprised at how much seating was inside and outside where there is definitely good space and enough to hold a huge party if it is allowed and I highly suggest checking out this location, and don't forget to take your pet because they do even have a type of ice cream for puppy dogs lol. I definitely plan on going back!

I first tried Smiley’s Ice Cream when he started doing it as a side-job. Smiley has maintained that flavour throughout these years. Amazing blasting tasteful ice cream — probably the best ice cream in the Shenandoah Valley. Raspberry was great. They use the local farm, cows, and creamery near by. What a great local company! Nice indoor and outdoor building! Lots of parking, patio tables, and friendly staff!

All fresh homemade ice cream. This place is set on a cow farm because the people that own this ice cream place own the farm and get the cream from the cows. There are places to sit outside and places to sit inside. There are plenty of parking spots as well. All the staff was friendly. There are fresh flowers and cleansing wipes on the tables inside that we sat at. They even have a separate area inside that looks like it is a closed off room to maybe have a birthday party or something.I got the salted caramel chocolate chunk. It was vanilla ice cream with chocolate chunks (flat) with salted caramel sauce which tasted like heaven. Our friends got the chocolate ice cream which he said was good. Also, they got the butter pecan which she said was amazing. So fresh and creamy.I would definitely go back here again. Our friends actually went back a second time before they left the area to go back home.Smiley's also has ice cream quarts for sale in the fridge and some at a discount They sell milk as well and some other items. There are plastic silverware and napkins right near the counter.

Do not miss this place!!!We were traveling from Rhode Island to Chattanooga, TN and happened on the interstate sign that said “Smileys Ice Cream”. We love ice cream shops and so I quickly googled the shop. I saw the 4.9 rating and I thought it was worth a try (even thought it’s a couple quick miles down the road).And IT WAS! My wife and I got 4 flavors between us and they were all fantastic. If you read the other reviews (please do) you’ll see that the milk is sourced on the owner’s farm and ingredients are all top notch. The shop and service were great and prices reasonable.This place is a gem and worth the small detour from the normal I-81 fare. Don’t miss it!

The. Best. Ice-cream. Period. I'm an avid ice-cream enthusiast and this place is worthy of any and all accolades. Local cream from Mt. Crawford and top notch recipes. It's worth a trip if you're not in the area.

What a great surprise!! We were traveling and saw a sign on the highway for Smiley's Ice Cream. We wanted a break, so we took a chance. What a wonderful surprise!! Best ice cream we've had in a long time! Big place, very clean, friendly staff, great prices, and oh so yummy!!

Man, that is some good ice cream. We had the black raspberry (delish), the peach (omg), the cookies and cream (yummz), and a few others. Really creamy ice cream and it is served with a smile. Plenty of parking and seating inside and out. Visit the farm while you are there.

Really nice little ice cream shop. I would totally go here again. Really creamy, tasty ice cream. They have lots of flavors so you can always try something new. Don’t worry if you don’t like the flavor you got— there’s gotta be like twenty more to choose from. I also got to try a sherbet for the first time here— it was a great experience and I really loved it!

Good thing my husband saw your sign on I-81! We’re amazed at the number of people who came to Smiley’s for ice cream on a Sunday night! But the answer is in the ice cream— it was well worth the short wait. He had peach and black raspberry and I had mint chip and Java chip. Delicious! We’ll definitely stop here again!
