Items often ring up higher than listed. They don't honor the marked price on alcohol and tobacco even if you point it out to them. You are required to show proof of ID even if your 80 or 90 to by these. Store is under staffed. Employees are friendly but there turn over rate is high. Nobody is ever usually there more than 3 months.

I really like the staff in this store. Sometimes it gets busy because of the location and the staff does a good job to keep the line moving. They seem to get new inventory all the time so its worthwhile browsing there weekly. Store is always clean and well lit. Parking are big and spacious making it safe to pull in and out and get through the parking lot. The store manager is as helpful as all staff. It's a convenience for the locals so we don't have to drive 15 miles to South Hill, VA.

If I could put 0 stars I would tonight my mother took my autistic son to get a toy at around 730-745 and there were three employees there and the store was closed I’ve never heard of the store closing at 730 on a Saturday especially when the store hours are until 10 my son was so upset as he was in the cart ready to go my mother begged the girl working to let him just get one toy and that’s it she would pay and leave they wouldn’t even open the door or explain y they were closed just that they were closed.. next time put up a sign saying your closed or something had she saw that she would have never taken him out of the car or put him in a shopping cart for that matter….

Today there was a line to the back of the store because one register was open. Then there was two and suddenly the other person left and they were back to one register while the line was still at the back of the store.I was able to get what I needed. Even thought I considered leaving due to the wait.

Although there were 2 employees, only one would assist customers. When I finally got to the front of the line and asked if the other employee was on break, the cashier stated she didn't need help . She said her customers didn't wait more than 2 minutes in line....I was in line with 5 people ahead of me and 2 behind. I waited 2 minutes just to process my payment method because "the system has been acting up". Dollar general! Wake up. Customer service is important! Hang a clock so your employees will know what 2 minutes really is. I despise having to shop at this store. I hope your competition opens a store close to the lake so we will have a choice.

Cashier was friendly her boss was not . had a issue with pricing on (summer shoes) even though it had the yellow dot for buy one get one free .and the agreed it was not considered summer "apparel "so they were not part of the sale .and it didn't matter that they were all bunched up on same sales rack so tough luck to my little girl that wanted new shoes

They are all very friendly they work hard at keeping their store clean especially the rest rooms. Always close by if you need help. Look it is hands down the very best DG in the area. Hope the newest one out on 58 and route 1 well run as well as this store has.

I really like this Store , as they have just about everything I need without having to go to Town and get Fruits and Vegetables as well as Meats, as they have everything I need to tie me over to the next day to go to the big Store for the other items. I am anxious to go tomorrow and see what the BIG sale is that is going on both today and tomorrow and I intend on getting quite a few items with the Sale going on, and I thank you very much ahead of time, Larry Stephenson.

I need a plastic and tape to put over a window and they had different types of tape. One of the employees help me to find where the tape was pretty quickly thank goodness! Because it was about to rain! Thanks to her!

Dollar General is this generation's 5 and 10 or Woolworths. Since they're chain stores it's important to shine in areas to make them stand out.I stopped her for a quick stop for beverages and ice pops. When I walked in I wasn't greeted. I'm used to bring greeted at my usual DG so I really expect it. Their aisles we fully stocked but it seemed chaotic.The cashier was ok but didn't ask if I found everything or communicated at all. I'm also used to cashier's asking me about my shopping experience.This DG has a good stock of items and I didn't need to wait in line. But this was just an average shopping trip.

Let me tell you. This is one of the best Dollar Generals I have ever been in. The store was packed with everything you would need for almost anything. I wish they were all like this store.

I love the Brac÷y Dollae General because everyone there is so nice & helpful,but hardly any people were wearing masks though signs were posted everywhere & the floor was marked for social distancing & everyone was doing that.

Customers service on point......over time things have changed! I'm 58 years old been in this store since it opened, the 1 day i don't have my id i can't buy cigarettes! It's not like these managers and assistants don't know me!!!

The service is bad...here I have been here two times and the young black girl has not been paying attention.They talk among there selves co workers.Went in on Sunday amount was 69 dollars and she did not make sure I had all my bags.Hot home to fix goody bags for kids and my stuff was not there.When I go to others store they tell u you have three bags or how many they put your stuff in.i call back three times Sunday..First man told me he was going to call me back ......Not...Then the second is time they didn't answer.....third time the girl going to be short answer stated you have your receipt.no I Don't.

It's a cost conscious store so expect the basics. However, it delivers on low cost necessities and let's me avoid Walmart. For what it is (low cost retailer), I really like this store. We call it our Bracey Walmart.

Store is a little cramped, and the packaged good cuts are way more expensive than a grocery store. I do like the convienience of the location, and is not a bad store to stop at for everyday quick items.
