This place has the worst damn produce. Rarely fresh. Frequently have wrinkled and moldy produce. They damn sure need some management that gives AF. Their prices are convenience store prices... just drive over to Ladysmith or up to Publix or Wegmans, both of them have cheaper prices anyway and a lot better meats, cheeses and produce.

This location has some great friendly staff, but they have some that are just not customer oriented.  Certain times of the day (especially early) cashier lines can be long.The produce selection is subpar with your choice of overripe or underripe.  Sale items are frequently sold out.I wish they had some competition.

This was a nice store. Out of multiple items, like frozen PORK sausage patties. Of course there were turkey sausage patties as no one really wants those. The cashier was helpful and friendly as well as efficient. The floor staff was also helpful and kind.

I am new to this area and food lion of course is the go to spot for groceries I went here a few times and have to say usually the staff is very friendly. But I had Rebecca the cashier about 2 times I have to say the first interaction with her I thought maybe she just had a bad day . She was very rude slammed my stuff across the register didnt bother to greet me or tell me the balance of my total. But then when I went to her register the second time I knew I had to leave a review .No hello , no balance she was a bit gentler on my groceries this time but still i feel like she should be trained in proper customer service. A simple hello how are you ? I get it we all have our days I work in customer service as well it can be rough but this is unacceptable . Everybody else yall are doing a fantastic job!!!

Im sick so hubby went in to try n get a few things we needed.(he is confined to wheelchair with impaired vision). I called Carol n she got someone to assist him ... what an awesome bunch of people . I love our food lion. Thank you Carol n the others that helped my hubby

I always go to Food Lion in Bowling Green Va, the sale items sell out early. If you shop very early ( when store opens) the sale item advertised is available. There is never enough frozen sale items, even when you ask clerk in that department!

They advertise almost every week hamburger is on sale in large portions. I go at least 3 or 4 times a week and never do they have them they have small ones never large portions.What can they do?

Love everything about this Food Lion, the cleanliness, the selection, the prices and above all the staff... Ron, the manager is very accessible if you ever have a question or a comment, he is so warm and friendly too... Both Carols are awesome and Stephanie is the sweetest girl in Bowling Green. They are the best people you'll ever have the pleasure to know. Just exceptional!

BG Food kitty may be the only game in town but they don't care, that still make effort to provide the shoppers with a good experience. Store is usually well kept and well stocked, staff are friendly.

The cashier was great. It was 3 in the afternoon and I kind of wanted something hot and there was no chicken in a hot rack only cold in the refrigerator side. But on a good note that must mean the foods good cuz it was all gone. Super nice people

THIS is a Food Lion that has turned around and is better than the rest! New management a few years back made the difference. Clean, organized, and always helpful. Don't have to ask twice if you need help out to the car either.....NICE!

Good Managers Specials! But, they don't have enough, all the time. Good pricing can be found, once you get used to the Food Lion brand. Seems to be the ONLY grocery in/around Bowling Green. Lovely grocery market! Not too big, not too small.

I have nothing but good things to say. Easily accessible, nice people, good food. I have returned items to a successful and satisfactory return service. You can withdraw money with certain banks, I.e; wells Fargo and union, for free with no purchase up to 200$ at a time and no withdrawal fee! They are in an excellent location surrounded by useful stores that just add to the overall food lion experience.

Basic grocery store. The employees are nice and helpful. Dont get the fried chicken from the deli hot case. Very, very, low quality. The inside of the coating was mush, the meat was dry and scarce, and there was something else in the bag that was deep fried but I wasnt sure if it was part of a chicken.

Great store and the only game in town for Bowling Green. The folks there are always helpful and friendly, and they have a nice selection of everything including some local fresh vegetables in season. The butcher shop caters to the low end customer, so don't expect to find any filet mignon or beef tenderloin there but they have some pretty nice rib-eyes.

Small country Foodlion... quite, peaceful shopping experience... store is always very clean plenty of shopping carts, easy in and out.Selection is perfect...No complaints to speak of always shopping at this location.
