This place should shut down. There's rust on the lamp and the door frame of the bathroom. Possibly mold on the bathroom wall -- I'm not sure it may just be nasty. The furniture is beyond nasty. I got a sheet from the front desk to cover the chair and I still wouldn't sit in it. I would not stay here again. We've stayed in many many hotels and this is in the top two of the worst. I have pictures of the nasty chair & the rusty door frame but not sure if it's going to allow me to add them. It's a shame that a place like this can charge the prices they do.Rooms: Need better maid service.

Nasty, never again,not a Wyndham.If it's the best that Wyndham can do sorry for them . chair looked like someone used the bathroom on it .The person on night time much nicer and helpful . Going to sleep in my car before we stay here again.

Yes the saying is true " you get what you pay for." The room was partially renovated, however the bedding was not very clean, I saw that they were stained. The young lady who checked me in was pleasant and professional. The area was fine they are located across the street from a place that serves fried bologna sandwiches and fried fat back. If you want a five star hotel this is not it. In my opinion I think the management knows this about their hotel. The room served my purpose after a long 8hr drive from CT where it rained almost the entire trip, I was able to get a hot shower and sleep.

It was very dirty. Had food in drawers smoke holes in the top blanket trash under chairs; bathroom had mold on ceiling and on bathroom shower curtain. Not to mention hair in bathroom and tub. Also smelled like weed in the front building and down hallway.Food & drinks: No where close to eat besides a couple fast food placesNoteworthy details: Was a terriable stay. We got there at 2am ish check out at 11am; desk attending said this room will be a lower price then said nope basically your going to charge you 40 more š sorry qe had no choice it was 2am with a infant.

One of the worst hotels Iāve stayed at all year. You will hear everything that happens in the building. The furniture is dirty.I work nights, I check in around 7AM and check out 10-12 hrs later. 99% of the hotels I go to have a procedure for handling my irregular sleep schedule. The front desk lets house keeping know not to disturb whatever room Iām in. And I make sure I use the āDo Not Disturbā sign. This hotel does none of this. At 10AM, 11AM, Noon and 1PM house keeping is barging into my locked room with the force of a Dallas Cowboys linebacker.Rooms: Out of date, outlets donāt work, chairs broken, curtains falling down, smells like smoke, the floor is peeling up and uneven.

I 100% do not recommend staying here. We didnāt have a choice because we were booked here for work, but we have decided to drive home after work rather than stay here another night. When we checked in, the woman at the front desk had to call our bossās room (who had been sleeping because this was after 9 pm) and have him come down with the card because she couldnāt use the one on file. We travel a lot for work and this is the first time this has happened. Usually we give them our card for āincidentalsā, which we never have. When we decided we would not stay for the night, and informed our boss, he spoke to them to cancel our room. Then, they called at 10:30 at night to ask when we were checking out. Housekeeping came by at 9am and knocked (we didnāt have to be out till 11). We heard them apologize to the room across the hall and tell them to go back to sleep.Rooms: The room was disgusting. The toilet seat had pubic hair and a smudge on it, the shower looked unsanitary. The towels were old, thin, and grayish. When I turned on the sink faucet, I was splashed with water. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows flat- and appeared really old. The sheet at least looked clean, but that was the only silver lining. Neither of us slept well. The lamp by the bed was broken and wiring exposed on one side (see picture). Both lamps were rusted. This room would be a great setting for a horror movie.Safety: As we walked in, someone told us that āif you have a knife or a gun, take it in with you.ā Homeless people lived in the van in the parking lot and hung out on the sidewalk going around the building. Our co-worker told us that a fight broke out in front of the enterance.

I didn't have a pleasant experience due to black mold being on the ceiling of my room and stained sheets, but the staff was friendly and helpful with assisting with refund.Rooms: Stained Sheets, Black Mold on ceiling.

If I could post zero stars, I would. On July 1, 2023, I made a reservation via the Wyndham corporate site for a 1 king bed room at Super8 South Boston for August 24-27. The reservation was confirmed. On August 24, approximately 45 minutes prior to my arrival in South Boston, I received a call from the hotel. I was told that my reservation would not be honored because the hotel was overbooked for the evening. I asked what the hotel would be doing for me to procure a room at an acceptable alternative hotel (in such situations, it's customary for a hotel to "walk" the customer to a new hotel, paying any difference in price). I was told that the hotel would not be doing anything on my behalf.Later that night, after I managed to find a (significantly more expensive) room at a hotel in a nearby town, I received an e-mail from Super8 South Boston, notifying me of the cancellation of my reservation, and blaming it on an inability to process my credit card (actual text: "In order to qualify for the advance purchase discount, you must provide a valid credit card that can be charged for the entire stay at the time of purchase. I would be happy to reactivate the reservation if you would contact me with another credit card within the next 48 hours."). Note that, when I made the reservation via the Wyndham site, a valid credit card was required. Further, checking with my credit card company indicated that no charge was attempted by Super8 South Boston.In short, it appears the folks at Super8 South Boston lied on the e-mail in order to divert blame for the cancelled reservation from themselves. Abysmal customer service.

Believe every bad review on here and dismiss the good ones. Simply put this place is filthy, rude, and a stain on the area.I'm also unsure of how they get away with not having an elevator.But the actual review, let me start by saying we (my partner and I stay at a lot of hotels as we love to travel). We have stayed at some bad hotels but this was simply embarrassing.Service: To start they got the room wrong, the woman was either new or just not educated. She couldn't run the card the right way, we had nothing assigned at arrival and waited 39 minutes just to check in after she blamed me for the card not working. When she realized it was her mistake she continued and said nothing. Not to mention she spent the entire time on the phone arguing with her boss I presume.Room: Gross, it honestly doesn't look like it's been cleaned. If it had been it's likely they just sprayed it with bleach because the chemical smell was gross. Not to mention the ugly maintaining, the TV not working, slide able bed, and chairs with miles in them. Fortunately, it doesn't seem like there were bed bugs but im sure those sheets were not clean and when we as others noted saw the cart there was no bedding. Additionally, the pillows felt like dollar tree pillows and the bed was the same as the floor.Also, there is no "breakfast" at all.Overall: outside of location this place is terrible! Don't waste your time.

All in all it was not a bad stay. The room was decent and other than some noise from other guests really I can't fault it. Everything in the room worked as it should especially the air conditioning. What surprised me and impress me was the fact that my room was made up everyday and fresh towels were set out as well as the trash cans emptied. You don't find this sort of service much in hotels anymore and I commend them for what they did. It's everything you would expect from a budget hotel and nothing that you wouldn't. Would I recommend it? Yes is a matter of fact I would.It is however in a somewhat sketchy part of town for which I cannot fault the proprietor it is simply the location and whilst I have described as sketchy nothing adverse happened during my stay.

Had to stay here due to my home being repaired. The first room had stains on the bed and thick sticky stuff on the tables and floor. Second room was better but on the last day i left and the housekeeping man thought i checked out when i came back he was "cleaning the room" for the next gueat. He had put the same bedlining that we slept on for 3 days back on the bed and only changed the pillowcases. Looked at his cart only saw trash no new beddingng for any of the rooms.š·š·š·

Idk what other rooms look like. Based off our room. It hadnāt been cleaned in months. The floor was disgusting, I wouldnāt go with shoes the entire stay. There is a chair in the room and it looks like something from a crime scene. I am very disheartened that this is supposed to be a Wyndham property. Absolutely will not stay again nor do I recommend ever! They need to place their money in that building.

This is the nasty hotel Iāve ever stayed in. I will never stay there again. I would not allow my dog to sleep there. The floors, bathroom, and dust all over the room. Bed was not made up trash was not empty. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work.you could see rust, and mold in places.the smell of weed is so strong you get a contact as soon as you walk through the lobby door. It made me sick to my stomach. Wake up in the middle of the night from the same small. The front desk are rude and are very prejudice. Do not stay at this dump

Honestly the worst hotel I have been to. To say this room was gross would be an understatement. We checked in and went to look at the room. It was disgusting, blankets had stains, and didn't look washed. The room smelled disgusting, and of strong awful chemicals that burned our eyes and throats. There was dirt and stains on everything from the windows, to the AC, to the table light, to the bath tub. And the TV wasn't working. After 25 min we decided it was too awful to bear and asked for a refund but we're denied. So we left for a different hotel as we couldn't possibly stay the night at this one.

BED BUGS!!I stayed at this Super 8 on 6/27/22.I had made a reservation for 1 week, but I found the mattress riddled with bed bugs the morning after I checked in. I packed up my stuff and went to the front desk. I quietly told the manager that I was going to check out and that I would like a refund for the previous night.The manager went to ācheckā the room. When he came back he said he found nothing, and that he was going to charge me full price.I asked him to check again. He refused.I loudly told him that I would never come back, that he should have refunded my stay, and that I had given him a chance to take care of this the right way.I immediately called the parent company and the health department to lodge complaints. I learned that after I complained to the parent company, the hotel manager retaliated against me and tried to charge my card an additional $360 on top of the full week price. I called the card company and reported the charge as fraudulent. It was reversed thankfully.This guy tried to steal from the wrong person. I will use the full force of the law to hold this man accountable.

Room had been remodeled recently but could have been cleaned better (example: dirty pillowcase, hair in the tub & sink) considering the price. The comforters feel like glorified plastic, so be prepared to pull that off to sleep comfortably. Front desk staff throughout the stay was very nice, (thankfully) easy to understand and accommodating with any questions we had.

The hotel staff was beyond rude and disrespectful. I booked through Priceline for 5 nights for a total of almost $500. The front desk staff member advised my son he could exit the building or his assigned hotel room after 9pm. WHERE IS THAT STATED? Then called the police to follow 3 teenagers walking to sheetz. Advised the property was pet friendly then when i called relatively quickly after i was advised on the phone there was a dog on propertyā¦.. ? Also was advised that if the property was vacated that morning at 2:30 am my money would be refunded, spoke to Priceline representative stating same agreement, Next day when refunded was inquired about PROPERTY REFUSED TO REFUND ANY MONEY!

The room was disgusting, smelled like fumes, our TV was broken, the beds had stains on them and box springs that sounded like kicking a metal bucket.We were refused a refund, asking made the couple who owned it mad and they claimed we had messed up the room.We left anyway, wasn't worth breathing in fumes all night -

Great place to stay. I've stayed here a few times and this time it was for over a week. The room was quite comfortable and reasonably priced. The bathroom had great water pressure and nice towels. The hotel is within walking distance of a grocery store, a sit down Mexican restaurant and a sit down Italian restaurant. It's quite close to several other eateries as well. Having everything close by was a big plus. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and I will definitely be back.

It would be lower if I could do - stars .Rooms are dangerous, I got shocked by outlet with bare wires. 1 room you could climb in the 1st floor window (no screen our lock!). They took money off our car for broke outlet but we got that straight. Bottom line,if you need a room for under $75 the hudson in is the way to go. The Super 8 empoyee are rude, the cleaning lady came in at 10:40 without knocking also (Check out is 11 )šš+ they are expensive $105 for a small rm no amenities.

Location is great, near food, stores and the like. I had 3 rooms for work for 2 days. Flat screen tvs updated as well as an updated bathroom. The only complaint I can think of is the towels. Some of the ones I had in my room were beyond their life and should have been discarded. They had a breakfast however I did not try it due to working.

I have many complains about this hotel.1. No free breakfast2. Shower was extremely dirty3. Safe did not work and we had to pay an extra dollar for it4. Sink would get water everywhere5. Mattress was way to stiff for comfortThis was room 127 on the first floor.It also smelled like cigarette smoke indoors even though there was a sign saying no smoking outside.Very nice staff though.
