Assist manager at south boston va store was extremely rude & very arrogant. He refused to return an item at Lowe's clearly had a 100% money back guarantee if the customer was not satisfied. He had the nerve to tell me that "he did not care" & "he would not stamd behind the guarantee " a complete jerk!! 99% of the Lowe's associates are amazing!

Somewhat expensive, many workers within the store but yet always difficult to find help. 9/10 times when asking for help the assistant has to look up the answer on their phone. I have not yet to meet a worker who is knowledgeable in their department area.

If I could give no stars I would the incompetence that runs rampant at this store location is unbelievable they couldn't hit their backsides with either hand I purchased a washing machine and had to wait for 7 days and it still didn't come in subsequently they have hit my debit card a minimum of four times and most likely six times this is a cluster if you've ever been in the military you know what that means it took my willingness to cancel the order and walk away to finally get the product I was trying to buy while much of this is out of the people at the store's locations hands it is still their responsibility

I had a woman help me find the drill I was looking for and she found a discounted set of bits. Very helpful. My wife had a similar experience buying a new dryer Saturday.

Bought a $400 item and they told me they would load it. Waited 30 minutes and went back inside to check up. They were surprised saying "oh you're still here?". Finally they came out after it had been nearly an hour. Wouldn't recommend unless you plan to spend your lunch here.

What can you say as a Guy. Went in to get parts for a toilet and ended wandering around and buying five other things which now increased my honey-do list. It is my wonderland of joy and the older staff are willing to help and chat with me. Babe I'm off to Lowes, will be back soon.

Just moved to town and went to Lowes for brand new high end appliances!! Bought 4 thousand dollars worth .Delivery was a disaster and went to the store 3 times to try to get it straight. Was told that it wasn't there fault and no apologies from the store manager Julie Brown or any associates. Totally unprofessional operation. Asked for a refund and was told I would have to talk to the delivery company because it wasn't purchased from the store I bought it at!! Totally confusing and still don't have a refrigerator or my washer and dryer. Do yourself a favor and don't shop at Lowes for anything Unbelievable

The South Boston Lowe's is our largest hardware store and has a decent selection. Their customer service is appalling though. They are completely incompetent in the paint department and if you are concerned with getting an exact shade or the appropriate texture and consistency, never buy paint here. (Try Sherwin Williams instead, if you can afford to.) Also there delivery service is totally awful. My husband and I have never gotten a single delivery that had the complete order correct. Their delivery guy ran over a drain pipe in the yard and crushed it. They have even tried to accuse us of picking up the items ourselves and checked the security footage before admitting they did not bring the items purchased. Never ever order a delivery order of supplies from this Lowe's. Their appliance delivery service is better but they have brought us a fridge that was terribly dented that we had to send back so, still not great. Finally, if you must ask for help in this Lowe's, good luck. Most of the employees are not knowledgeable enough to help at all. A few are very nice and helpful but chances are they aren't going to be the ones you get. My husband does some various construction and handyman work so we've had a lot of experience with this store. I would say 85% of our experiences here have been bad. Beware of this store.

Unfortunately, though Lowes has most items I need, they wasted my time with the window guy when they set up an appointed to give me an estimate on replacing my windows.The window guy came out, told me to get my OWN measurements and then contact Lowes and they'd order them for me. WTH???Needless to say I won't bother with them again. Just saying, Home Depot is the same distance away in the other direction.

Always enjoy the South Boston, VA Lowes. Branden was our cashier, we purchased a refrigerator and some glass sliding door blinds. He helped us choose financing, arrange delivery, and answered questions we had. The customer service is always exceptionally good there. The store is clean, and parking is excellent.

Great place. Always used home Depot until we moved to a new home and found a Lowe's in next town. Loved the store and most of the people there. E en got a Lowe's card. Will be using this place most all times.

They are always slow and unprofessional. They see a customer standing there asking for help. They say, oh this is not my department and sends you to someone else. They are in a little work huddle talking while, me, the customer had to wait. I finally, out of frustration spoke up and asked for help.You want 15.00 a hour and your worth ethics are that of 4.75 a hour. I hate having to use this store. They need some competition to make them improve their standards.

Just moved here. I've been in the construction consulting business for years. I've used Lowes services, online ordering and delivery all over the country. The Lowe's in south Boston VA is the absolute worst I've encountered. I mean bad. Online orders are never correct or ready, I've ordered 3 appliances and had one service call to my house. None of them showed up on time. most deliveries are days late.The AC tech they sent out was so spun on meth he couldn't function. The in store inventory is so bad that I can't depend on the website being correct on what's in the shelves in the store. I finally gave up and drive to the one in Danville.
