If I could leave 0 stars I would. I called about a stray wondering onto my property and hanging around my male dog (stray female in heat). They told me that because I couldn't catch her (not my job) that they would have to set traps for her and they only did that on Mondays. The dog hung around my home for about 3 days and my dog ended up getting out and following her. I was able to get my dog and hoped she would stay away. The next morning she came back WITH A PIT BULL. My dog got protective of his yard and got into a fight with it while the hound tried to break into my chicken coop. When I called the person on duty I was told that because I couldn't put hands on her (again not my job, yours) that she would be out Tuesday to set traps and that I was allowed to "do whatever means nessisary " to protect my animals. Absolutely useless.

Adopted a cat here. One of the staff said that she personally fostered him and that he had all of his vaccinations, he had a runny nose but they told us it was a cold and that sometimes cats get that when they come in but it would go away in a few days. Both of which were lies, he was unvaccinated and because of that he had distemper. When the “cold” didn’t go away we knew something was wrong, he was actively dying and was put down yesterday. I wouldn’t trust the staff, but there is plenty of sweet animals there that need homes, just keep in mind that they aren’t truthful.

1st time there. went looking for lost cat, unfortunately no luck. they did have some awesome dogs and cats. wife would have made me get lost if I had brought yet another animal home, but if your looking, good place to start. friendly professional staff, to include the young man working there, not getting paid, he went out of his way to insure I saw all the pets and each cage was clean and pets cared for, even able to settle down the excited ones. I love animals, but have enough...please if your looking for a pet, why not get one that wants and needs you as well, they need forever homes.

Obviously filled with dedicated people who are taking care of the animals they've received. I am so grateful for this service since we weren't able to take the cat that we rescued a few years ago ourselves, to our new home.

Adopted from there a couple of weeks ago. Laura and the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. They were also very eager to help! 5 star experience all the way around!

Why closed on Friday ? Animal abuse happens everyday . Whoever made this decision does not care about animals and should either be fired or removed from office!

Openly admits to a dog being malnourished but gives the pup back the the previous "owners" anyways. Even though the pup was dirty and underfed roaming the streets.. now the women is being charged for stealing? For trying to help? Absolutely barbaric people. Should be ashamed. This place and your laws are what's wrong with the way things are in society. How can careless people end up with shelters or in law enforcement. Disgusting.

They were very welcome with letting you meet with the dogs. But they lied to us about the day the one we choose would be available to adopt. We lost our baby because they were ignorant.

Not about looking out for well being of animals. Appears someone there is looking out for abusive hunters and not the animals. Individuals doing that reflect badly on animal control and makes all appear backwards.

If you can get past the smell, its great. Staff seems genuine animal lovers and make great effort finding homes.
