I enjoy checking myself out here because I bag things a certain way and I also do shopping for my friends and family.I have way too many shall we say mishaps ( like the register being stopped or will scan one item but not another of the same item).I am aware that the employee at self check out have some control over the registers and I know it is for everyone's sake but as much as I am there I am beginning to think that it's being done intentionally out of boredom , not all that are placed there for their shift but a few & I am pretty sure I am NOT the only one.I understand playing it safe and saving so it could bring down prices on things.All I observe are no employees around when you need assistance especially if you are handicapped/disabled.I wish I could say thank you for all you do but I just cannot.I can only hope and pray that the place cleans up it's act or continue to see the numbers bouncing up and down, customers and sales.

I don't often go to this one. There was a rude lady one time saying I was lying about a price but I do understand retail. I have been a cashier. But that is not something you say to a customer. I don't go here so I do not deal with that. But the management and other cashier's were very nice and do their job well. I wish the Walmart was bigger but considering the area it doesn't get a lot of people.

Compared to the Walmarts in the Petersburg and Colonial Heights area, I would rather travel the extra 10-15 minutes to get to this location. Staff are always friendly, I don't usually see long lines (2-3 people at most), and there are multiple registers open AND staffed.

Would have given a 0 if allowed. The worst most rude employees EVER. I know I'm wasting my time putting this review on here because nothing will be done. Asked for help and got legit laughed at. Going to powhatan from now on.

The Walmart in Blackstone is one of my faves to visit. Most always has what I need and is never extremely busy. The only complaint I have is quality of fruit and vegetables. There is usually always a spoiled or really rotten item in their produce section so I never buy anything from that area.

Easy to find products, cleanliness, however, store security watched gollowed my son and as I suppose, we spent a considerable amount of time in electronic, my son went in separate direction a few times as I remained browsing electronic products. At the checkout register, cashier received a call, caller inquired did I use cash or credit card; she simply spoke under her breath saying "credit card." Interesting but, I spent three decades in law enforcement, not disturbed by being under observation by sloppy retail security-loss prevention staff.

This is a small one for fresh food. Very few fish options, a bit more chicken. Beef and pork are king here. Having said that, I got what I needed and wasn't disappointed.

Clean store. Stocked to capacity. Met expectations. For starters, this Walmart location is very well kept and maintain. Isles have been consistently clean and neat; usually have all products needed. Store is also easy to navigate. On the other hand, staff could use more customer engagement training. Staff were not as friendly as I have seen in other locations. Overall, this location will remain on my list of frequently visited stops as items are needed.I would recommend stopping here if you need something.

Never enough cashiers!!! Today at 11:30 had ONE register open, the line was at least 10 people waiting. Called and they finally opened ONE more. This is a always way at this store. No way to reach a manager. They will not forward your call to Him or Her. I have been told they are under order not to let anyone talk to Manager. Floor people are nice but still not opening registers. I notice that they listed my name but not the ones that gave good reports. This is their way of having you remove your bad notice.Sorry only said the truth.

Store seems to be in a small disarray but the people working there make up for it. Helpful and friendly. Not sure about Christmas stuff out in September though.

Staff assisted me with oil and filter for my truck and the guys knew off the top of their head the size. Knowledgeable and I received quick service with a smile. Prices reasonable also.

If I could give this no stars today I would. I really wanted to buy some material to make a gift for someone and the associate, Cindy was paged 3 times and never showed up. There was a gentleman stocking and he said that she new I was waiting because he heard the page. Another associate said maybe she is in the bathroom. If she was in the bathroom for 20 minutes then she probably should not have been at work. After a little over 20 minutes, and taking the time to go to customer service the associate there said I needed to see the associate in material and no one else could help me,. I asked to talk to a manager (there was someone in a yellow vest standing right there and that person never spoke up) and she just paged Cindy again. I just left. Very bad experience today.

Decent. Customer service visit went smoothly. Shopping in store was good and the curbside pick up order didn't take long either. It was hot that day, but the lady who brought my bags out was still very sweet.

Walmart is not a great experience lately. They're trying to force everyone to do the self checkout. They do this by having only one lane open and that is one for 20 items only. But it is not working. People get in line 5 to 6 deep and go through that line anyway.Walmart is ridiculous!!

I love that I can find everything I need in once place for shopping as mom of 3 special needs teens. I only give 4 star ratings because I notice that even before Covid help in each department is limited. You really have to play "where is Waldo?" So to speak to find anyone lolol. Other than than, I'm happy.xx

It’s a small Walmart. If you’re a size queen, you may take issue with that. On most weekends, the green wave of national guard buy up all the water and skoal, and on friday nights the crackheads make up the majority of patrons. Overall, 10/10 recommend.
