A cop was parked in a handicap spot. I called them out on it, and Dave, one of the Pantera bread owners, got upset about it. I can eat elsewhere easily enough. But police should not park in the handicap spots...period. And Dave Panera shouldn't stand up for that. Dave backs the blue no matter what they do or where they park, I guess. As an older retired guy, I can eat at so many other places, and I will. Bye bye Dave.

Consistently bad, overpriced food. Every time I've gone here, there's been some mistake with my order. Whether it be them giving me an open bag of chips, forgetting to put dressing on my salad, or giving me brown lettuce. It's just not worth the super high cost, when Roots is a few feet away and 200% better, for virtually the same price.

This my second review. This time we had breakfast at Panera bread. We had avocado scrambled egg spinach on everything bagel and scrambled egg with cheese on ciabatta bread. Both were delicious and successful. On another note, the tea variety is good. The filtered coffee was OK.This branch of Panera Bread is in the University city right across Virginia tech. The environment is cozy and good for family gatherings. The crew is friendly, welcoming and fast. We ordered a tomato soup in a bread bowl, tuna salad sandwich, tuna salad sandwich without the bread, a margarita pizza, frozen strawberry lemonade, and peach-blueberry smoothie. However, the tuna salad sandwich is okay but could be toasted. The pizza and tomato soup in a bread bowl is average. Even though there is a tuna salad sandwich item on the menu, there is no tuna salad by itself.

First of all, they don't have bar code or qr code to scan your membership you have to say to them the membership number.Same thing for electronic gift card. Too much time spent for these details while ther a line that's getting longer.Second, they told our salad would come with olives but not a single olive in it. The bread was really bad, it wasn't fresh at all and very cold. This was bot the case in many previous visits.The squash and broccoli soup were excellent and warm.

I came to this Panera location about 6:30 pm on a Friday night. There were maybe at most 10 other customers in the store - so it wasn't crowded. The place was absolutely filthy. Lots and lots of open tables, but each one was dirty. We finally found the cleaniest dirty one that we could just brush crumbs away. Not only were the tables dirty, but the carpeted floor in the entire dining area was littered with pieces of food, torn napkins, straw papers etc. The beverage station was also dirty and lots of melting pieces of ice were on the tile near it. Had to keep reminding my family member to be careful because tile and melting ice are not a good combination. The bathroom was just as filthy. I was shocked, becaue I have dined at many Panera's and I have never seen one so dirty. The whole place looked as if there had been a big party or wild reception.

Standard fare for Panera Bread. Place has great natural sunlight in the mornings. Food is good and pastries ok. A few of the Bearclaws were overbaked. This location is walking distance from Virginia Tech campus.

Ordered delivery and waited for 2 hours before getting any notification. It said the delivery driver was nearby, and I never got my food. I tried calling to get a refund and see what was happening, but they never picked up after calling 5+ times. My blood sugar was dropping at this point, so not only do I feel terrible, but I wasted my money. Not happy

I love Panera, but I what I don't love is that they are using door dash for their delivery system now. It has taken 40 minutes to get my food (I still don't have it writing this review!) Go back to hiring delivery drivers! The food is always amazing, please remember they aren't supposed to be a fast food restaurant, more like a casual sit down cafe/restaurant. Good food takes time.Kid-friendliness: This place is definitely kid friendly, and has a mini kids menu. Personally, your older kids could eat the food they have, but I'd like to see healthier options for younger kids (toddlers etc)

VERY DECEPTIVE: We arrived at this location at 7:30 pm. I specifically asked if we would have to leave before 8 pm or they just stopped serving at 8pm. The guy (who was new) went and asked the manager and told me that they just stopped serving at 8pm but they usually took about one hour after that to clean and close, so we were good. So we ordered for dine-in. But it took them 20 minutes to give us our order. Plus everything was to-go. And we have noticed that soups and salads are in smaller servings when it's to-go. So this was the first bummer. Plus they kept giving us dirty looks although we were told by the cashier that we would have time. We left at 8:17 pm and they were still cleaning. But they ruined this family treat we wanted to share with our kids. It's not the first time we have problems at this location. I think we will stop going to Panera Bread or at least to this location. I totally understand why they globally don't have good reviews.

How does employees HATE someone jus from picking up food. This location and the manager disrespect me EVERYTIME I come here. They always put my order to the side and act like it's not ready, then act like they didn't know I was waiting for that order wasn't mine. I hate the way the employees treat me at VIRGINIA TECH. They try some way to screw me over every time I come here. I guess I won't come here and support their business. When did it become ok to pass such judgement when pretending to give customer service. Why would these people get a job I'm customer service. You obviously don't like people. You don't belong in customer service

We've never ordered anything that wasn't fresh, tasty and well presented. This is a really nice location, and the employees are nice. It's always clean inside, and delivery never takes too long if you choose that route. Panera is great at providing healthier options, and the fresh veggies here makes that even better.

The staff were very friendly and the food was prepared without any errors in a timely manner. The quality of the food was perfect in my opinion. The dining room is a great place to eat because of its cleanliness and its modern comfortable design.

I made an online order a week ago with a pickup time for 7:15am. I received a text stating my order was ready, go to the store, and discover a sign on the door saying that they would be opening at 9am during this week to allow staff to spend time with family. If you want to do that for your staff that is wonderful, but you are not a small business. You have to work inside the business model of the larger Panera corporation or figure out a way with your regional management to avoid this kind of situation.

Went to eat at 11 am and ordered 3 bagel sandwiches. They were out of bagels and breads etc already???? Waited 30 minutes for order to be told it can take at least another 45 min for food. No one in dining room was eating but the board with names had at least 20 names on it. Our name had not even made the board to be prepared yet. It was understaffed, not stocked, no leadership or competent employees working except for one young boy at counter and young girl making sandwiches. Cooks sitting on phone behind, still wearing their jackets, one studying the schedule instead of working on orders. Total lack of management and trained competent staff. They knew it was game weekend, people in town get ready????Never will I go into another Panera again. Complete and utter chaos!!!!!

Blacksburg location very conveniently located in University Mall. Great lunch service, great food as always. Outdoor dining under umbrellas lovely as we waited for news of excellent emergency care for our pet from VA Tech Emergency Care. 5 mins away via Duck Pond Drive. Made a bad day much better!! Thank you

Ordering on the app is quick and easy. Love the pick 2 options to get a bread bowl soup and side salad. Tasty food and quick service.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options including some soups. Data is online for ingredients.
