Janet, who works at the hot bar, is amazing! She is kind, helpful, and always makes my day when I see her. I get my lunch five days a week from your hot bar, if Janet wasn't there I would go someplace. Thanks for hiring good people.

Every time I come in this store (S main Kroger) I leave in a bad mood. I feel robbed of my time (checking out and bagging my own 7 bags of groceries while 5 employees stand around - one bouncing a ball). The manager was included. Two other employees just standing around talking while I needed help at the self check out. I also feel robbed of my money. This place charges so much more while getting the customer to do all the work not to mention having to navigate the increasingly small isles around the 50 people doing the shopping for other people while leaving the carts in the middle of the isles. One night I came in and there were a bunch of youth employees standing around cussing. There is one employee I know and like - I can’t believe the lack of professionalism of the rest. It is unbelievable and an embarrassment to this town.

This store has a really solid selection of plant based food. These are not all in one place, but scattered around the store. Kroger seems big on the new plant based burgers that are coming out, and has their own product, called Emerge, as well as Lightlife and Beyond Burger. The non-dairy cheeze selection is a little light, with mainly Daiya; I'd like to see Miyoko's and Follow Your Heart. Non-dairy yogurt is good, but it would be great if they added So Delicious. I buy a lot of Amy's Kitchen frozen meals, and these were in different locations, rather than all in one place. So it's worth hunting around to find them. The selection could be a little better, but so far, it's the best all in one place shopping for plant based foods in Blacksburg.

The store manager here is clueless . he has no idea what's going on around this store , he will not address any problems the employees are having , or pay attention to any customer complaints. the department head in drug gm and fuel center does nothing but gossip and talk about other employees and customers to , spoke to them about finding a lot of out-of-date items in the fuel center . also the produce department is always out of everything and the dept head is very rude whenever you ask about it being empty all the time also a , someone needs to talk to corporate about it . might give them a call . was told I could shop somewhere else , I thought that was very unprofessional and I will not be returning here !!

I feel like this is the best Kroger location in the area, and I have always been satisfied shopping here. They offer a much better selection of products than the alternative grocery stores, and it always is an clean place to shop as well. The deli is also amazing. I would give a 5 star review, but the fact that there is apparently a bar here that serves alcohol is a detracting factor for me. I am of the opinion that a bar does not belong in a grocery store where children are present often, I just think there's something not right about that.

I start working at Kroger on December 15 as night shift. Overall I loved the job. Yesterday I was let go. Mike Crystal, who is a general manager he’s not as flexible as people say. Upon accusations of showing “inappropriate TikTok videos” to other associates, and that I had used. Inappropriate language, I was let go. TikTok out nudity or inappropriate videos. And I had stated that. I had also stated that other people besides me had used inappropriate language various times. I’m not the only one. We’re night shift for crying out loud the only thing that he decided to do was let me resign or get terminated. Upon that I resigned, I told him that this was the situation that he took to harshly. And that it was unfair. I don’t know what it is about Blacksburg, but the last two employers I’ve had have been super sensitive.

I absolutely love this store, it is by far my favorite go to but the restrooms are always in bad shape. It doesn’t matter the day of the week, the week, or the month. I’ve not ever experienced a clean restroom. Mirrors, stalls, floors, sinks - all of it. There needs to be a cleaning schedule in place for sure - at least cleaning once a day.

I come grocery shopping here at least once a week. It is clearly the most superior grocery store in Blacksburg by a landslide. The produce section is massive and always well organized and fresh. The bakery is great and always smells delicious. There is even a sushi, salad, and alcohol bar! This place has everything. Also the deals are great and saving points to get discounted gas is really easy. I would 100% recommend this Kroger location to anyone who lives in Blacksburg or even Christiansburg

I’ve been visiting Blacksburg for several weeks and shopping at the Kroger on Main. Multiple times I found myself looking up at the aisle markers and the strangest thing would happen…. An employee would approach me and ask me if they could help me find something. Kroger, this is a revolutionary concept! I think the rest of the world needs to adopt it. Additionally, on two occasions I witnessed your staff helping some elderly people to their car. I’m not a fan of spending my money with large corporations but when I see one treating people right it makes it a little easier. Your crew (including the folks in the pharmacy) deserve some glitter! They are doing an amazing job!

When my mom and I come here, we never really have any issues when we’re shopping for ourselves. However, whenever I’m doing instacart, employees are always rude in some way. Today I went in… and honestly I’m convinced they handle instacart orders differently… but I put the groceries on the conveyer, and when I told him that this was an instacart order, he rolled his eyes and threw him head back in annoyance. He told me that next time to tell him first before he starts scanning. I’m the past, I didn’t have to do that so I didn’t know. At this point, I was sweaty, I’m was tired and annoyed and just wanted to get out of the store. His reaction just made it worse. I understand that he has probably had a long shift, but i did as well. Aside from my full time job, this is my second gig. Please treat others kindly and with respect. You never know what they’re going through

I always love coming to this Kroger but I had such a pleasant experience this past trip that I've got to leave a review. I purchased a vacuum that had one of those spider security alarms attached to it. Unfortunately that particular alarm decided it didn't want to be removed despite every attempt. My cashier, the wonderful Rachel did as much as she could before passing it off to Riley (who was just as awesome.) Both employees (and a sweet woman behind us in line) carried on pleasant conversation while we waited for someone to detach the stubborn alarm. It was brought to Angie at customer service who was able to get it off and send us on our way. Thank you to each and every person my girlfriend and I spoke to. This store has always had the nicest employees.

It's a grocery store with a good selection, especially in the organic section. Do what you can to find those coupons, either in the app or on paper, because those non-sale prices are crazy high.One bonus: they finally replaced their old rusty carts with new ones.

Good people working here but the prices have sky rocketed. While ot does not Jane the best quality of a truly local store it have pretty good selection and the baked goods are nice. My biggest complaint aside from the prices is that the don't carry hardly any locally produced foods which is a shame. You won't find locally roasted coffee for instance and they don't get as much upon request any more as the decision on what to carry has been shifted out of the managers hands.

This Kroger has everything! It feels like a traditional Kroger while having an expanded selection of products. The store was exceptionally clean and well stocked.It was also nice that they had a bar area with draft beers.I was especially impressed with two of their self-check outs. It had a conveyor belt and allowed to scan your items as fast as you could.

My only problem with Kroger is that they don't have baggers on the weekend. I have many health problems and Don't feel like bagging my own groceries. Yes, I could do pick up. I like to pick out my own fruits and vegetables . Also, they haven't had baggers for a long time. They are all doing the shopping for others. I'm sorry, they need baggers on weekends. IAm I the only one who shops on weekends and does anyone else feel this way.

This review practically writes itself, Walked in one day to buy some sushi and instantly after getting off the self check out I noticed a tall employee named Mike saying something mean to an employee which seemed super out of place. He had a very rude attitude and talked like he was above the other employee. I cant stand to go in there anymore.
