The quality and quantity is slightly less than the one on South Main, but it’s still a solid grocery store where I normally get my groceries from. The shelves are usually well stocked and the produce is fresh. The staff are also very helpful, especially when I encounter issues at the self-checkout machines. It does feel a little understaffed at times, but that might just be due to me shopping at late nights.

I was shopping here while visiting my son who lives in the area. I have to say that I was disappointed at their produce selection. It seemed that no matter when I went there were empty shelves. It also felt a little gloomy in the section. Specials on their meats are a good value but I found the organic eggs way overpriced (non Kroger brand).Cashiers are friendly.

I am writing this post because of one special employee, Bill! I have been helped in the produce section twice by Bill and I just think he is outstanding. He went out of his way to find the produce I needed right when I was dreading making second stop, he appeared out of nowhere after I left the produce section with the perfect English cucumber. I just wanted to thank him once more and let the Kroger team know how helpful he was to me. 3 cheers for Bill!!

There is a very good selection of plant based food here. There is a section with "health food" items in the back left corner of the store. The other Kroger has plant based items scattered throughout the store. I find this locations layout better. They have an excellent selection of plant based "meat" and nondairy milks. I found a couple of new items I hadn't seen before, including Zen Burger Street Tacos. These are great! The selection of non-dairy yogurt and cheeze could be a little better, but Kroger does have their own plant based cheeze shreds, which have a nice low price. You can get a cart full of taste, super healthy food here.

Pick up order........terrible. I have had a few minor issues before, like item missing or out of stock. This time came home and it was someone else's order. Nothing from my order was in any of the bags. Unfortunately I could not go back to the store at that time due to having my small grandchildren to watch. This was the reason I placed a pick up order. Very disappointed and will not be placing any further orders with them 😕 😞

Guy called Steve. He’s really rude me and my friend who’s international. I been doing shopping here past couple of years. And this guy was really rude to me and my international friend which made really disappointed. I’m not kind of person who leave reviews everywhere and easily but that’s really rude.

Decent store. A little more pricey than foodlion or Walmart but I do love the huge selection of items they sell - especially including things that aren't groceries. (Canfles, holiday decor, paper supplies, makeup, greeting cards & household cleaning & improvement products) 😀 👏🏼

This brand Schär says it’s GF and you can find it at Kroger or Walmart. But I would not recommend it if you have celiac disease, many people with C.D. has been sick after eating this product. If your C.D. and haven’t been sick after eating this product please let me.

It's great being DISRESPECTED while asking for help at the checkout. Will find another way next time or not go during the day so I don't have to see that emoyee. Does Kroger ever teach employees how to treat customers. Apparently Not.4/14/24. Thanks for the ROTTEN MEAT. I am now sick. I have had food poisoning before. I know what it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

really disappointed in the service I have received in returning milk bottles. I buy homestead creamery ALOT and i always rinse them and they sit for a little and create a rim on the bottom. NEVER HAD ISSUES AT SOUTH MAIN KROGERS mind you. Last two times have been such terrible experiences, I will no longer be returning bottles there. First, Timothy rudely told me he couldn't accept my dirty bottles and TOLD ME TO GO TO THE BATHROOM to wash them out. I was astonished that he would even ask a customer to do this and when I told him that i've never had an issue before and that it was clearly milk and water at the bottom from me rinsing them out, he again told me he would not refund my money. Come to find out, the milk bottles don't fit into tiny bathroom sinks and then the water fountains outside bathrooms dont even work!!!!!!! So I return upset, ask for a manager which the manager arrives and responds that he doesn't understand the fuss because they had clearly been rinsed out and yall throw them in the dishwasher anyways! So I recieved my money and left. TODAY, right before work, I go to return bottles and get dinner for my 3 kids and encounter Ken walk up yelling "We can't take those, you need to bring them clean". I told him that they are rinsed, its milk and water at bottom (one was gross and i told him no problem just give me money for others) He tells me no hes not refunding me for any of the bottles and proceeds to pick them up showing me "how dirty they are" mind you ken was working the self-checkout area, he was not even working customer service but decided to come and snap at me. I said this is ridiculous, if i was white would you be asking me this? to which he responded" Thats what you think this is?! well you can wait here" made me wait nearly 15mins as the other young kid at the front was clearly trying to avoid helping me and was helping Ken with checkouts when he was supposed to be at the customer service desk. I go to the bathroom again to rinse out and HAD TO BORROW A CUP FROM DELI to rinse out the bottles. I go back to the front where an older white woman is returning her milk bottles WITH MILK AND S**** at the bottom. I WAS AGAIN ASTONISHED. I went up and asked Ken why he didn't tell her to go to the bathroom to rinse and he held up bottles yelling "It's a little milk and water!!" Again, astonished. They didn't call a manager, I had to get another associate to call him. He came to front and looked just as astonished as me especially when i told him another woman with dirty bottles was able to return no problem. AT THIS POINT, I HAVE BEEN AT KROGERS FOR ALMOST 40 MINS. I will talk with corporate and homestead creamery and let them know how hard it is to return bottles to this location. Ken had the nerve to come up to me afterwards saying "don't take this personally.." I AM A MOTHER OF 3 TRYING TO FIND A SAFE SPACE FOR ME AND MY CHILDREN WHILE WORKING AND STUDYING TO GET INTO LAW SCHOOL, i am not clocked in at work, YOU ARE. you never know what someone is going through in their lives and frankly,the way the whole situation was handled was extremely unprofessional and I am still emotionally affected from being yelled at and made to wait at the front of the store like a child. So disgusted honestly.

Good selection and helpful staff, I’ve never personally had a bad experience here.There are some items (vanilla iced coffee for example) that are only in stock sometimes and there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when or why?Overall a great grocery store and definitely my go to.

Pharmacy is the best with carrying staff. Staff turnover has been minimal so each time we go pickup our medications, they know us by name and have our prescriptions ready. We've been going to this Kroger for over 6 years now.

This is a great place for not only getting your groceries but also some ready-to-go food like fresh sushi or soup. I’m not exactly a fan of the olives bar, it’s not bad but not the greatest either. The produce is of good quality and there’s a good selection of fruits and veggies. The bakery is average (I’d recommend going elsewhere for sweets / cakes, ...) but the bread selection and quality are good. Customer service is excellent.

This is my favorite kroger and where I get all my produce. Yes it's a smaller store but the huge kroger down the road is so overwhelming and it's hard to find what you want. This smaller kroger is always well stocked and I can always find what I'm looking for. They have some varities of fresh sushi for $5 on Wednesdays. I can also usually find some good marked down items for a good deal. You can tell the manager really cares about the appearance of the store because it's clean and organized. Their deli dept is really helpful with questions and there's a huge selection of cheeses and prepared food. A lot of their prices are actually cheaper than Walmart.

Friendly workers. Although I do have one complaint. I am now in a wheelchair due to medical conditions. I was at the cat food getting ready to get my cats food and there was a stock boy in the same isle. As I started out away from the shelf, I had to stop as the stock boy had stopped in front of me and was stocking the shelf. He made no move to get out of my way, and I had to wait while he finished stocking the food he was stocking. So very rude and inconsiderate. The next isle over I was greated by a nice young man who was stocking as well. He told me that I needed him to help me get anything for me to just let him know. So nice and polite. I guess they were not at the same training class or one of them slept during orientation. I shop multiple times a week at this store.

Best Kroger in Blacksburg, Radford or Christiansburg in my opinion. I never have to wait for a self-checkout register. The pickup staff are friendly and pleasant. One of the employees especially has been helpful at times when I've needed help finding a specific item. I believe their names is Lilly and they should definitely get a raise for how helpful and friendly they are!

Very rude customer service. I'm a baker and come to Kroger from the deals on fruit. I picked up about 15 packs of raspberries and at the check out line the bagger got to the raspberries, walked away and said, "I'm not bagging all that." Leaving me to bag all my groceries.Not to mention over the past few months I've nearly been ran over twice in the parking lot of this Kroger.

Steve is a great manager, love the store. Come in all the time. Just one worker there is lazy that I've seen, she doesn't wanna do her job. So it you see a lady named Wendy checking you out its best to go to another line because if she has to do anything more than stand there it's a problem for her . All and all the rest of the cashier's are AMAZING and have done more than is expected to assist me, love coming to this location !

Renne helped us at the check out line and it was by far the best grocery experience I had ever had! My group of girls needed extra assistance and he delivered service with a smile and some quick math! That man deserves a raise! Will be coming back! Thanks everyone!

My husband buys me cut flowers 2 or 3 times a week. They are always beautiful and far better than ANY bouquet from most florists in our area. The young lady who is there is kind and helpful

This location is by far my favorite Kroger in the area. It is organized and has a great selection of beer, wine, and fresh produce and meats. The floor staff almost always goes out of their way to greet customers and ask if they need assistance. Highly recommend!

A small to medium sized friendly neighborhood store most of the day. There are recurring problems with long register lines after 9 o'clock. The company has been unresponsive to feed back about this on their Kroger customer survey system and concerns expressed to their customer service number.

The store is very clean and organized and I would give them five stars but there is never anything on the shelves. I find myself going there only to leave to go to another grocery store to get the items that I need. I find that to be extremely aggravating and time-consuming and were it not for my Kroger card and gas points I would give up altogether.

Really the best Kroger around. The bigger Kroger on the other side of town has more variety of the same items but no new items. So, if this Kroger doesn't have something, bigger Krogers also doesn't. Overall, I am happy with their stocks

Very rude staffs at checkout.. They don't know what they are supposed to know. I had a issue at checkout and they simply said "We are not trained for this issue." They won't even try to understand your problem.
