I don't know the owner's name but he is extremely knowledgeable about the dog food he sells. We were given a puppy and a bit of food so we needed to buy more.We used to go to Tractor Supply for our adult GSD but Kibbles on Main is not only closer to us but the prices are good, and with the great help and advice it's a no brainer.

I’m a regular here and been shopping here for 2 years. I went in to buy a harness for my dog that I recently rescued and went home to find out it was ripped under the adjustment buckle. Went in to return it the same day and I believe the owner of the store, told me it was obviously chewed but who would go in there and show them the tear asking for a refund rather than hiding the tear! He was very rude about it. He then got the guy who sold it to me and he blatantly lied and said he inspected it before selling to me which was false because all he did was scan the tag in my hand. Extremely rude and even though I had the receipt and tag they refused to return it while being completely unprofessional and RUDE. Will never receive my business again!ALSO,My friend bought a bag of food there and had to take her dog to the vet because he got very sick on it after a day of using the food and they refused to take it back. She called the company of the food and they sent her a new bag and told her to return it to them and tried to talk to the manager at kibbles on main and he refused to help them! Again, extremely rude and unprofessional!DO NOT SHOP HERE if you want good customer service!

I love the options and the dog wash station at Kibbles. However, I have had bad experiences with one cashier. Im not usually one to leave reviews, but I felt warranted to leave this one. I can not remember the name of the cashier. However, he is rude and talks down to just about everyone. There are several reviews on here about this cashier. I remember telling a few friends about Kibbles and my experience, and they knew exactly who I was talking about without a name! I believe this person should not be in a customer service position. Other than that, Kibbles is a wonderful place :)

Definitely the pricier end of places to get pet supplies but they have very cool and niche things. It's worth the few extra bucks if you're looking to find that special something. Also the guy working when I went in was super quick, friendly and helpful when I asked a question.Good service and good items.

Such a terrific locally owned and operated pet shop. This kind of business makes the term “shop local” a no brainer. They recognize me every time I visit, and great me like a true friend would. They were even kind enough to sell some of my pet-themed woodworking projects (bowl holders), and one time stayed open after close a few minutes to help me get my dog’s food at the last minute. Great people.

I arrived at the Blacksburg location around 11:30AM on 11/15/23. One employee was working, and he appeared to be stocking or ordering stock. I walked around for ten minutes or just checking out the products available for dogs. When I had found some dog treats, I ask the employee for help selecting medication for my dogs for itching. I explained my dogs didn’t appear to have flees but I was going to treat for fleas anyway and I needed something for the itching. The employee all but ran to the front counter pointed out some flee collars and as I was asking a question, I realized he had disappeared while I was speaking. I realize working in a small store employees must multitask however this behavior is completely unacceptable.I choose to shop local and support small business whenever I can. I do not like being rushed thru a transaction and do not like being treated like I am an inconvenience. If I were ok with bad or at the very least indifferent customer service, I would have chosen a less expensive box-store to supply my pet products. I will not be back, and I plan on telling all my friend who are pet owners my experience.

Kibbles is THE place to go for pets owners in Blacksburg. They offer food, supplies, treats, and all for animal owners from dogs and cats to small critters. They have a huge selection of treats for pups and cats, all the way from natural mega bones to fill your own bag small treats. One MAJOR feature they offer as well is something I think every animal store should have, a full service animal wash. They have a full service bath, towels, blow dryers, shampoo, conditioner, oatmeal shampoo, clips, brushes, scrubs, everything. They time how long you are in the wash area and that's it, they cover the clean up and set up, and while I still try to even pull hair from.the drain for them, they insist on usually doing it all. Absolutely love this place, will surely miss it when I move away.

This place is adorable! And it has pretty much everything our pets need and more. Whenever we're in town visiting and we run out of dog food or need pet supplies on the go, this is our first stop. The employees are always super friendly and there's definitely plenty of parking available. Also their white cow bones are very reasonably priced just in case you were wondering.

Yesterday was my dog's birthday. I went to this store to buy some toys and dog cake. He had green diarrhea all night after eating, eight times in one night, his butt hair was dyed green, and don't go to this store to buy any handmade cookies!!!

Typically, we're regulars at Kibbles on Main and buy our dog food here, but we did have an extremely uncomfortable experience today. When checking out, we got unwarranted training advice ending in the clerk stating he was concerned about his pulling in the case he was acting like this in a crowded parking lot. Thank goodness we were in a pet store, and in fact not a crowded parking lot. Overall, it was really uncomfortable the way he talked down to us and really didn't have a place to comment as I felt like any normal dog would be excited in the same environment. Being that my dog has already passed a full training course and walks well on a leash in a typical low-stress environment, I am both unconcerned and disappointed we got shamed for my dog showing excitement to pick out a treat in his favorite store. Unfortunately, we will most likely not return here due to this incident:(

This is a friendly, locally-owned pet supply shop with a huge selection of high-quality food. They also have a purpose-built grooming station stocked with shampoos, towels, etc. that can be rented "by the hour."

This is a very nice store for pet supplies. Don't come in looking for Kibbles-N-Bits though. There are none of the cheap brands that are carried at the big box stores. If you want high quality or specialty pet food this is the place. They have a great selection of beds, collars, and leashes. They also had a rack full of fresh catnip plants. Even several models of poop scoopers. Highly recommended if you just got a pet & want to explore the possible equipment & accessories.

I have shopped at this store for several years. I like to support local small businesses. Despite their customer service being poor, not very knowledgable about their products, not very helpful or friendly. They seem to approach customers as if we are antagonists. If you ask a questions about pricing or product selection they get defensive. I go once a month for my dog food and spend on the average $85-$100 per visit. And, despite their weird attitude towards their customers, I have continued to support them, even recommending them to friends because they are local.I've had two unpleasant experiences. The first time I bought my usual bag of dog biscuits that you purchase by the scoop. I had inadvertently put in ONE scoop of the $3.99 biscuits with the 3-4 scoops of $3.49 biscuits. I was honest and told the manager. His comment to me was I would be charged the higher price, "That's the way it works!" or I could go fill another bag. I was surprised that one scoop with a price difference of .50 would illicit that sort of response. I took my bag and left.I was hesitant to go back, but decided to do so. Then another incident occurred. I had purchased two chew sticks for my dog. When I got home I only had one in my bag. I called the store and was told there was not another one on the counter or anywhere they saw and that the owner who checked me out said he put both of them in my bag. I said I only had the one and they should offer me the opportunity to come back in and get one to replace the one I did not have. The manager on the phone asked if I wanted to speak to the owner and I said yes, then I was cut off!Again, their attitude is that the customer is trying to cheat them out of something, or at least, that is they way it comes across.Sadly, I will no longer be shopping at this store. With all the conveniences of online shopping I will be going to a retailer with consistent policies and good customer service.

Although Maggie truly doesn't like to be bathed, Kibbles on Main makes it less frightening and upsetting because of the set up. She is easily contained within a comfortable tub. It's the right height for me to reach her without my back aching. The shampoos and towels are within easy reach, waterproof aprons are handy so I don't get soaked, and the whole operation is clean, tidy, and cheerful. Maggie picks a treat as we prance out. The bath usually runs me about $10. Food, treats, accessories are all available at this locally-owned shop. All in all, Kibbles is my go to for everything I need for my happy dog.

My partner and I have been to lots of pet boutiques and this is the best one we’ve been to! They have great treat, toys, supplies, and food options and are always super friendly. We have used their self-bathing station for our puppy and she loved it. Highly recommend this place!

Love kibbles on main. The bully sticks are great quality. Better than the ones in bags at the big pet stores. Always so nice and helpful.

On Thursday October 20, 2022 my wife shopped here for a new food for our 10year old dog Keeza. Unfortunately she was met and served by an arrogant clerk whom lectured her about how it didn’t matter what dog food she got and there are no such things as finicky eaters. His words also included “to make sure that the dog knew her place on the bottom of the food chain.”Being local we try to support small local business. And this one being well stocked with a number of different foods we thought the sales person would be well versed or educated on the products they carry. Instead she was treated poorly, demeaned, and belittled by this clerk in charge of the store. Treated as an inconvenience rather than a local customer. Our dog had an accident when she smelled other dogs in the store. My wife asked the clerk if he had any cleaning supplies so she could clean it up but this request was met with a scolding and inappropriate questions about the age of our leashed dog. This upset my wife and she left this store in tears but also a bag of dog food with smaller kibbles to let Keeza try due to her difficulty eating large kibble. She had to do this on her own as her questions to the clerk were an inconvenience and were below him.We want to believe in the small town feel but will probably be using pet smart or petco for our pets future needs. Maybe he was having a bad day but scolding customers and not offering any insight isn’t acceptable in any retail setting. It also turned out that our dog does prefer the smaller kibble my wife picked out without the aid of that arrogant clerk.

Great selection of dog and cat food, the only place in Blacksburg/Christiansburg that offers any brands of raw pet food (primarily Primal, Stella & Chewy's, and Instinct), both freeze-dried and frozen. Very friendly staff as well!

Closer than petsmart, more helpful, more knowledgeable, comparable selection, better prices in many cases, plus they have an elevated dog washing thing that's just so much better than doing it at home.

Always nice to visit here they carry what I need and I can avoid the New River Valley shopping Mall on business 460 outside of Blacksburg and Christiansburg VA. Which is a driving nightmare.

We have always loved Kibbles. We've been going there for years. The staff is always very helpful and eager to give you the advice you want and not just try to up-sell particular products. Also all of the products they have are affordable and often times beat any other pet supplies stores in the area. And of course they are fully loaded with anything and everything you need, and all the brands you want! Thanks Kibbles, stay awesome!

Stopped in during a visit from out of town. The store had a surprisingly large variety of products and I found them to be very competitively priced. And the staff were very personable and knowledgeable. If I lived here, I’d shop nowhere else for my dog’s needs.
