Really not worth dealing with the nasty staff and inconsistent stock when there are so many better pharmacy options nearby. Just go to Blacksburg Pharmacy, they are super nice and accommodating and have always had the prescriptions I've needed in stock.

Worst drive-thru service ever!Except delay and rudeness.I arrived 9:15 am to collect my son’s medicine which is very time sensitive. And the lady at the window tells me that they just opened and I have to come back in half an hour seriously? Alright let’s skip that part. Having to spell the last name and she tells me with an attitude to slow down!! Like what? Have some manners please and maybe a smile? 😅

Due to recent staffing shortages this CVS has shown to have some inconsistent service times for the pharmacy. However overall service throughout my stay in Bburg has been consistent and prompt.

Please don't put too much weight on the negative reviews. I've picked up my perscriptions from this facility consistently since September 2022 with hardly any issues besides if they run out of a certain perscription. I'm used to going to CVSs where the floors are dirty, shelves are understocked, and merchandise from shampoo to press-on nails being in locked cases. This CVS, at least to me, is pure luxury and is comparable to a decent Walgreens. The staff and pharmacists in my experience are polite and efficient.

I been to this location multiple times over the years. While finding a parking makes you feel like riding a merry gold ride, there are many plus sides too. The most important thing to me was the way miss Ana treated us. She greeted us with a smile and refilled our prescription at the lightening speed. Even though they were very busy, she didn’t show any attitude that usually other people throw on the face in general. Funny thing we live right next to the CVS on the south Main Street and Dr. forwarded the prescription by mistake to the CVS on the city boulevard location.I will certainly recommend to anyone who happen to need to go to the pharmacy.

It's literally impossible to talk to a human. I was just calling to check when I could pick up my prescription. I had to go through the automated call thing three times, and when I was finally going to be transferred to somebody, I got hung up on.

I just had to call regarding my prescription, and the lady that answered was EXTREMELY rude. I answered her question and she was upset, “OK. I was just ASKING” when I was just answering?? She also had the worst tone and hung up on me when I was not finished. I’ve been going here to pick up for a couple of years and they are not the kindest in person either. I don’t really expect much from a CVS anymore.

Ohhh, this CVS. There is an issue literally EVERY time I have to go there, to the point where I get severe anxiety just thinking about dealing with them. I've been going there for about a year, and take a lot of medications for multiple serious health issues. They told me they'd start ordering my medicines in advance after three months, but they are still never in stock on the days they're due. There have been miscommunications that take multiple calls to resolve (once they said my medicine was in stock, then out of stock, then it could be partially filled, then it couldn't be filled until the next day, then it was being filled, then it was out of stock, then it was ready). It's extremely busy, but usually only one register is operational. One of the pharmacists is... not friendly, to put it lightly. The employees are pretty nice, but I had to switch. I recently started using the CVS in the Christiansburg Target, and it's like night and day.

This CVS is staffed with the rudest, least friendly, and most impersonal pharmacy crew I have ever encountered in ANY pharmacy.I have been there multiple times, and it's always the same regardless of who's working. My wife has also gone through the drive thru and was blown away by how consistently awful and rude the staff is.Whether you're planning on going through the drive thru or waiting inside, you're better off just finding a local pharmacy with people who will actually care for and about you.

These pharmacists are extremely rude and unhelpful. My medications are rarely filled on time and they always tell me to call my doctor to fix these problems, but this turns into a cycle of calling back and forth with no real solution. I would definitely go somewhere else.

I’ve never left a review for a pharmacy before and I don’t know the type of people who do, but I feel like I need to based on all the negative reviews written here. Prior to coming to Blacksburg the negative reviews almost turned me away from going here even though it’s the closest to my house. I have not once had a problem at the pharmacy nor with anyone who works there. They’re always friendly and do their best to try and help you. I don’t know what more you can want. Honestly I don’t know why people have written such poor things. Maybe they don’t understand how pharmacy’s work? Like if they don’t have the prescription they can’t fill it.

I have been using this pharmacy for an year and have no complaints. They are friendly and always have my prescriptions ready when I go in. I get reminder calls when I need to refill. Sometimes there is a wait to get your prescriptions, but I just avoid times when I know a lot of students are going to be there. Overall, they are great at what they do!!

Terrible place, I agree with the general bad reviews. I went there for a Covid booster shot, I had an appointment. They were 15 minutes late. Then Angie, the "nurse" (or whatever her function is) yelled at me when I slightly moved the chair because I had the feeling we were sitting on the lap of each other, was rude and brutal. These people should know that they are doing a healthcare action, they are not selling a candy bar. People may feel vulnerable (yes, even for a shot!) and they could show a little bit of cheer or at least holidays spirit! I think the shortage of workers make CVS hire anyone and everyone, including the worse.

I've used CVS pharmacies all over the US, and this one is by far the worst experience. It's probably not anyone's fault, but just because they are absolutely not equipped to handle the volume of customers at this one location. I try to order my prescriptions in advance, and have the refills done automatically and I still end up waiting from 45 minutes to an hour in the store to pick it up, even when I was told it was going to be ready an hour earlier. There are CVS employees all over the store asking if I need help finding anything, so maybe if they put some of these people to work behind the pharmacy counter they'd get better results. No matter what time of day, there will be 5 customers in front of you who will all be told, "I'm sorry, we don't have that ready for you yet, so if you could please just wait a few minutes..." Then they wait forever.

Showed up 15 minutes early for a drive thru covid test. After waiting in line for 40 minutes and sitting at the window for 5 more I pressed the call button. The came lady came to the window and told me there were only 2 people working and asked what I needed. I said a 1:20 covid test. She responded that I was late and the nurse had gone to lunch and I replied i didn't expect to wait in line for 45 minutes. She went and got the test and asked if I had taken one before. I replied yes and apologized if I had been rude. She gave me the kit and walked off. This kit was different from the other 4 I had done previously. I had some questions but she never returned. I dropped the kit in the box hoping I had done everything correctly. As I pulled around the building she was getting in her car to leave.

I'm very impressed with the friendliness and assistance of the pharmacy staff here. One pharmacist in specific, Daniel, went above and beyond to assist with an issue and helped us come up with an amazing game plan pertaining to an injury. He was friendly, professional, compassionate, and really seems to enjoy his job. Thank you!I can't recall the name of the cashier, sadly, but she was helpful as soon as we walked in. She was very sweet when she rang up our purchases, as well.Great staff like these individuals are what makes another CVS a great experience!

By far the worst CVS I’ve ever had have my prescriptions filled at. I realize this is a busy area since it’s a college town but I’ve lived here for 2 years and it’s always at least a 15 minute wait in line (inside or drive through) and the prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be. As I write this I’ve been waiting on the phone for someone to answer for 45 minutes now and haven’t even spoken to someone yet.

The hours on Google aren't accurate for this location. Since the store is in a college town the "front store" stays open longer. Google refers to this CVS as "CVS Pharmacy - Photo". The actual "normal" hours for the front store are 8AM - 11PM Monday - Saturday and Sunday 10AM-8PM. The actual "Pharmacy" or prescription department is open from 8AM-9PM Monday - Friday, 9AM - 6PM Saturday and Sunday 10AM - 6PM. Of course these are non-holiday hours. We work very hard to take care of all our patients in Blacksburg. Remember to call ahead for refills as early as possible especially when students are back in town. We will do the best we can to take care of everyone in a timely manner. Patient safety is our highest concern as well as customer satisfaction. Thanks! Go Hokies!

This review isn't directed toward the pharmacy staff because they're clearly working really hard with an understaffing issue. For about the past six months everytime I go to pick up my prescription it's not ready when it's supposed to be and I have to go back multiple times. For one prescription I have to go back on average 3-4 times and wait between 4 hours and 2 days. I'm switching to Rite Aid.

It seems clear that they have had a cut in staff or resources of some sort. They are always scrambling to serve everyone and never have prescriptions filled when they are suppose to. Probably best to have your prescriptions sent somewhere else if you value your time.

Danielle in the pharmacy has went above and beyond twice for my kids in getting prescriptions. He really cares about the patients and the cost of the medicine. I highly recommend using the CVS Pharmacy!!

I enjoyed the customer service at this CVS. As soon as I walked thru the door, I was asked if I needed any help finding anything. The cashier "Kailyn" was excellent. She is a job checking be out of the store. I would recommend this CVS to anyone.
