I have used Heavners for years now for business purposes as well as my own diy needs and they have never let me down. Good prices friendly staff and a good location! (They are moving soon to the other side of town though) Chris has been a huge help and very knowledgeable. I try to locate him when I go for any help I need but others as well I just don’t know their names.

excellent customer service, with the items you need. When you need that one bolt, plumbing fitting, or paint, these folks will help you find it. Highly recommended. Dave is their paint specialist and has an eagle eye for matching paint colors. They are always adding more items every time I come in and are responsive to customer needs.

Ryan super knowledgeable and helpful as was the whole Heavener team. Had a torchier lamp switch that broke. Ryan knew the lamp meant something to my wife and through creativity and just plain common sense he figured out away to not only fix but improve functionality. You don’t get that a big box stores. Walkable distance from campus with a good range of selection. I typically end up here for balsa, bass wood, stain, spray paint, nails, or sand paper... All of which they have at reasonable prices. It's nice to be able to go here instead of driving to the bigger hardware stores in Christiansburg. Relatively friendly and helpful staff.

I have been a Heavener customer for 20+ years. It's very convenient to stop and pick up necessary items. Naturally, they can't stock as much as the huge stores, and their prices are a bit higher. But the staff is friendly and tries to be as helpful as possible, and it sure is handy to be able to stop by a local store, rather than drive out to the mall to the big chain stores.

The staff here is very helpful. Every time we've been here someone has come up to us to offer help. Sometimes the shelves look a little empty, but they have a lot of things other stores don't in the services really good.

I've come here a few times for hardware for various projects. The employees ask if you need help when you enter, but if you take them up on the offer a few of them usually seem very annoyed that they have to help and are passive aggressive as they do so. If you don't know what parts you need or where they are in the store, you'll probably experience this. I might look elsewhere for hardware in the future unfortunately.

A great "old-style" hardware store! They'll cut plywood down, have lumber in adjacent warehouse, a remarkably varied stock with just about everything -- and a friendly, good staff to help you find everything on your list.
