Worst customer service of any Dollar General in the area. Employees act as if assisting customers is an inconvenience…she didn’t bother to bag all of my items and just walked away after I paid for them.

There's only one person working there that is rude and needs to go and that is the manager. The store is crowded with boxes sitting everywhere. The shelves are always empty but trucks are there all the time delivering. Boxes are always stacked up in the back of the building, all over the front of the store, which makes it hard for us, the customers to shop, and then the manager will not get anything off the carts or out of the boxes to sell it to you unless you are her friend or a man she likes. She treats the employees under her like trash as well.I am surprised that store is able to stay open with her as the manager but I guess when you have friends and family in district management positions, that's how you keep your job. She will eventually run the Big Stone Gap Store into the ground. I used to love that store. Now, I rarely go in there. I drive to the Duffield Store, 14 minutes from my house just to buy dog food. They will sell it to me even if it's on a cart. I have even went to the Dryden store because the Big Stone store had toilet paper still sitting in boxes and the manager would not sell me anything if it wasn't on the shelves. I am starting to think it's because I am black. There was an issue with my online coupons. Same issue another woman had that was in front of me at the register. The manager typed in the discount for her coupons but when I checked out, she told me that I would have to try and fix it through my email. A lot has changed at that store since she became manager. Several people have stated they hate having to go in there when she is there. She is only friendly to a select few people and the store is a wreck! Her time should have been up a long time ago.

Nice, well stocked, organized. Little dirty/dusty for me. But employee was nice to pointed me in the right direction. The aisles are Super tight, so no ‘aisle shopping with a cart’ haha! Nice little place to run in for last minute stuff like detergent!

I avoid this store if at all possible. Bare shelves cluttered and rude employee. Stop SITTING behind the register playing on the phone and do your jobs!

They are always clean and spacious with plenty in stock. It's never like that dollar store in Duffield Va where you have to dig into a box or something to find something you want. Otherwise you will get nothing from the shelves so thank you BSG Dollar store

I stood at the register for 5 minutes while the cashier stood outside and smoked and looked at me period she could at least open the door and told me she'd be with me in a moment but nothing.I ended up leaving my purchase on the counter and walking out. I like the Appalachian store much better or even Norton's they're always friendly and eager to help you

The customer service here is great! They work to make sure your shopping experience is a pleasant one. The prices are good and to be a small store the selection is really good. Definitely recommend for the quick shopping trip.

Wonderful staff,but every time I go on in there,there are boxes always sitting in random places! Blocking areas and it is difficult to get to certain items. It is way to crowded with boxes and it's hard to navigate through the store!!

Very messy. Shelves not stocked. Truck inventory on big carts block isles every time we go in there, and are all over the store and seems to never get stocked. Can never get all of what we need.

The WORST experience I've ever had. The blonde manager is a bi*** to customers. No greetings, argumentative when you ask questions that she doesn't believe is right. BAD experience. Put my stuff back and LEFT!

Ok. I have seen stores that do not have all of their product put away but this store takes the cake. You have no room to shop the store is so crowded that two people can not pass down the same isle. They have so many boxes and carts full of product that they have not put away on the shelves. This store really needs to get cleaned so that people can shop for things they need from that store. I looks worse than my 2 yr old's bedroom full of toys. At least I can get around in that room. But, come on no wonder people are going to other stores and not the Dollar General in Big Stone Gap. Who wants to shop in a place that is that crowded, with isles blocked off ect.. Clean it up people and you may just get a little more business.
