Today I went to the Ashland, VA store to purchase a harness for my service dog (a Pit Bull). When we got out of the car, my service dog urinated outside two times. Upon entering the store, a woman saw him urinate and she started yelling at me and telling me her show dogs would never do that. Then, when my dog got inside the store, he urinated briefly two more times on the concrete floor, which I was sorry that happened (he has health issues) and I was wanting to ask for a paper towel and something to clean it, but the manager had an attitude toward is so I didn't ask for cleaning materials. I went on to shop for the harness and the lady who was yelling at me when I first came into the store, continued following me and yelling at me. I asked her if she worked there she said no I'm shopping and you should not be allowed to come into the store. She said the police should be called. She said it loud all the employees heard it. Still they allowed this person to continue yelling at me and they stood there and didn't say a word. About 10 minutes, later three police officers came in to confront me. They asked the woman who at yelled me if she called, but she got the employee to call. They then asked the employee was anything wrong and she told them that the dog urinated inside and they asked her what does she want to be done and she said she was concerned about store products, but nothing to be done. The employee also said they normally offer cleaning products to the customers, but I did not get that offer and was too upset to ask for cleaning products. While in the store, I saw two spaces where someone's dog had pooped and I saw that someone wiped it up. When I pointed out that poop had been wiped up from another dog, she yelled it was probably your dog! There were other dogs in the store at the time I was there, but they only focused on my service dog and me. After this incident, I took my quiet dog to the car and left him there while I shopped for his harness. I told someone about the incident and they said they would not have purchased the harness. I bought the harness, but I do plan to return it unopened/unused.No one offered to help me in any way to find out if I needed help. Not a welcoming feeling at all. Totally different experience in the store than what I experienced for many years.We were harassed, and I felt there had been dog breed discrimination. I have shopped at this store for many years. But I do not plan to continue shopping there. The experience was overwhelmingly disappointing.

Had been purchasing bird seed from my local grocery store and a lot of the round red seeds were being left on the ground. Browsed your website and visited the Ashland store this morning. Found better seed content, less filler and a lot more reasonable...35lbs for $17.79.. win win...I will by back and tell my friends..thanks

I used to love the Ashland tractor supply but recently they’ve been understaffed resulting in prolonged wait times. While most of the staff they do have is decent, one lady in particular, Sam and as well as a few others are rude and unhelpful. I usually come to this store at least once a week, however if the service keeps going this way I’ll be driving much further to the Rockville location.

Me and my girlfriend are first time chicken buyers and the staff was awesome. Younger guy Patrick helped us out and went the extra mile to make sure we were set up for success. Polite friendly and very knowledgeable.

This place is awesome. I called 2 minutes before closing time. They actually answered the phone, I told them we were broke down one exit up and needed a trailer tire. The were more then happy to go look for it. They found it, stayed open late to allow us to pick it up. What they didn't know is they helped make a kids wish come true for tomorrow. We are actually delivering a boat for Make A Wish. I highly recommend this Tractor Supply.

Typically, I love this place...However... when I walked in today.... two girls were standing at the door that WORK THERE that I had to maneuver around them.... then I passed another kid that worked there... that didn't acknowledge me either.Kid in the aisle working I get.2 kids chatting it up at the front door, to not even say hello. That's a big NO for me

Update: FRAUD! CROOKS! PRICE GOUGING THIEVES!I am only giving one star due to the fact that no lower rating is available.After three weeks of calling and waiting on hold, Tractor Supply has been working on this issue but nothing at all has been done. Customer service is absolutely non-existent at this company! In trying to speak to a supervisor, I was told the supervisor declined to speak with me as she "was very busy".They entice you to sign up for the tractor supply card with promises and the allure of many benefits. Don't be fooled, you will never get the benefits. You won't receive credit at the proper level for any purchases you make and then no one will assist you in correcting the situation.Also, have you ever noticed how Tractor Supply prices are different (much higher) for the same products if there's not a Rural King in the vicinity? Price gouging anyone?Shop at Southern States or Rural King!!!<Original review>This is the worst company! If you are a "Preferred Member Plus", you better make sure you receive the benefits and rewards to which you are entitled. Tractor Supply excels at not honoring these promises!!

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but customer service is not a high priority for this location. I came in to drop $400 on a tool box for my truck. After looking around for an associate to help I finally went to the counter to ask for assistance. Lisa could have cared less that I was there to buy a drink or anything else. I told her that I didn’t see a price tag that matched the box I wanted and that the box also didn’t have mounting hardware. She told me that the cost of the hardware would be deducted and that they sold hardware in the back. I also explained that I needed to know the actual price of the one I wanted and I was told to “just brink it up here and I’ll scan it”. So I was like - you just want me to lug this 6’ long tool box up here? The then directed me to a gray cart to help myself.After I went back there and did all the work of trying to get this monstrosity on the cart and looking for the non-existing mounting hardware, a young guy finally came out from the back to see what I needed. He looked in the other boxes and found paperwork that indicated hardware was supposed to come with the boxes but only a couple of them had any included. His solution you may be wondering? He says to me, “I don’t what to tell ya, man. Maybe I can call another store and see if they have anything”.Maybe I’m wrong, but if I hire folks to work in my store, I want them to help everybody that walks in ready to buy something, walk out and leave me their money. Isn’t that how those two get paid after-all?I’ll go buy my tool box somewhere else.

I go by for supplies and lots more. If they don't have it, they will hunt it down at another store or order it. NEVER had a problem with returns. Ask for Heather, if not her, they all are great.

James the manager really went above and beyond for us. Were are out of state military from GA and we had a trailer that broke down we were stuck for 5 hours and him and his team helped us and got us out the door with everything we needed to make it back home safe. Highly recommend the staff is super down to earth and friendly.

Small store with a friendly atmosphere. Although the employees don't actively assist with help, after hunting one down they are very nice and willing to assist. I do have to say that the weed whacker selection is small. Only a few brands to choose from and the few available are multiples of the same type. That, coupled with the less than engaging employees gave the store an average star rating to me.

The store is always clean and the staff are friendly. It is missing a 🌟 only because the sale items in their paper advertisements can be difficult to find in the store, and the "end of isle cap/display" items do not always coordinate with what is in the isle. I go in about once every month or so and something's always moved.

110% Great staff. Typically stocked like any normal tractor supply. Amazing ability to keep stocked in propane during the winter. I have been coming here a while now and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

A bit pricey, and it's hit or miss to get a friendly associate. And if you are medically unable to lift a 50lb sack of feed, don't go unless you have an hour to kill. I get that the employees have things to do....but customer service is important. Convenient location, however.

Third time I have tried to get the beef flavor 4Health dog food in 30lb bag and they don't have it. Then the register clerk was doling out pet advice to customer in front of me who was clearly trying to escape. Meanwhile, I'm behind them reading every label of everything in the aisle, trying to remain patient.I think I will visit the other one on us360 next time.

Rude! I went in the store to purchase pins for a trailer hitch. I picked up 2 that were loose in a bin marked 2 for $2.29. I thought it would be helpful to take a picture for the check out clerk since they were loose items with no tag. I offered the picture to the clerk, long dark hair.... receipt says Jami. She asked the people behind me in line “Who does he think he is talking to, Ive been here as long as this store has been open.” She didn’t have a playful tone when saying it. One of many negative experiences at this location.

I went in for a line level which they had but was very expensive compared to the other places I shopped around at. The level itself was almost $5 and the roll of string was $9 for 250 yards maybe less yards. Another store (Montpelier feed and seed formerly southern states) had the same exact items for $8 all together.

Rude. They used to treat me like family. I still shop there, but I don't go out of my way. Good prices on some things. Maybe it's new management. Perhaps they just don't like me anymore. Change is often for the worst. Sad.

Slow employees, mediocre selection of mediocre products. There are much better alternatives but this TSC is relatively close to my home and I pass it on the way home from work. Wouldn't go out of my way to shop there for sure.

Website indicated they had nut coal in stock, went out of my way to get there and not only did they not have it they said they haven't had it in over a year and the keep asking their buyers to send from warehouse (where they apparently have stock but is not customer accessible) but they refuse. This happened with another TSC in the area as well. Their inventory check system is terrible, and their buyers are ignoring customer need.
