Great little pet store. Had a number of different animals, birds, fancy rats, rabbits, reptiles, and fish. Lots of food and fees for animals. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a little aquarium area with some unique fish and a lot of live plants. Just an old house converted into a pet store, so you might miss it if you're not quiet looking for it. We grabbed a few treats for our dog, a comb, and some crickets for our frog.

This is a relatively small shop, but one with a friendly and helpful staff when we visited on Sunday, March 17. I was surprised to learn that they are only connected by name to the Lakeside store; all of the frequent buyer programs are separate.They were very good with my rescue dog on her "gotcha" day and possible first ever visit to a pet store.

Great, "locally owned" pet shop. Mark and his staff are fantastic. I drive from Richmond because they are super helpful, extremely well stocked, and have great prices on the dog food I buy.

I must say that I love Ashland. The stores are all individual and unique. Fin & Feather was no different. The employees were awesome and gave us plenty of attention. The Bettas looked healthy and vibrant. We checked out some baby dwarf rabbits, a baby ferret, love birds, canaries and parakeets. It is a small store that is packed to the brim with interesting pets and supplies with staff that care.

Great local pet supply store. They carried one of my two dog foods I needed while traveling to this area. Their website was not updated that they did not carry the second food any longer or could only order it (holistic select), but I was glad they carried Primal Frozen and dehydrated.Staff was very friendly and helpful. They carry quite a few brands of dog food and supplies.We drove in on the side street from behind the building and parked in the back but it was unclear which doors were entrances. We did walk all the way around to the front and went inside. Will definitely visit again if needed in this area!

This was the first time we had been to this lovely pet store and wow!!! For a small store, there was such a great selection of products- reptiles, small critters, birds, ferrets, fish and supplies for them all, plus a great selection of treats, foods, toys, and accessories for dogs and cats!We had recently gotten two Betta fish from a big-box pet store. It was more of a rescue mission than an intentional purchase. But we needed guidance so that our fish had their best chance of getting healthy and staying that way. This store was THE store to come to! We were immediately greeted by a gentleman who offered assistance. Later, Emily helped us select water additives for our tanks, as well as some accessories that will help with the health of our new fish friends. She gave us great explanations of why each product was important and didn’t tell us that we needed every single product on the shelf. She also said that if we have any future problems or questions, they’re just a phone call away. She also recommended some treats for my dog, after considering my concerns about her dental health (we don’t want very hard chew treats, but want something that is chewy and will last a little while.)I can’t say enough about the incredible staff- knowledgeable, patient, and not trying to push unnecessary products. The big box store may be right down the street, but this store is well worth the drive! We’ll be back soon! Thank you, Emily!

Stopped in yesterday to check out the fish and we were very pleased with the quality of the tanks and selection of fish! It's a small fish room, but don't let that fool you. The tanks were the cleanest I have ever seen, and I've been to a lot of fish stores. All of the livestock looked healthy, and the selection was interesting, with several fish we hadn't seen before. We bought some beautiful gold barbs and had to stop ourselves from buying more! Both of the ladies who helped us were knowledgeable and very friendly. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Mark and his team are so helpful. They go above and beyond customer support to get products I may want or need. We have been going to Fin & Feather of Ashland for 20+ years. This is a fantastic small business to support if you need pet supplies. We get everything we need for our dogs, koi fish & pond supplies and wild bird food.

Definitely some of the best customer service I have had in a long time. We walked in and a guy greeted us asking what we needed help with. He was very knowledgeable on the food and offered us a few options for size and variety. He also told us about a buying program where the 13 bag is free. He asked if we needed anything else and we said we would look around. A few min later the store got busy with several customers and only 2 associates. When we were ready to check out the other associate helped us and again was knowledgeable of the products we were buying and also told us about the 13 bag free program. He also told us about a loyalty program. Absolutely awesome customer service. The only reason for 4 stars is the shop is really crammed with stuff. We were looking for dog beds and finely found them ..... overhead. If they had a bigger space it would definitely be a 5 star.

This was our first visit to this location of Fin & Feather, and we were not disappointed. Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly young employee named Ian. Ian was a wealth of knowledge, helpful, and engaging. We left feeling confident in what we had purchased. Side note: This is the only store I've been in that have their male bettas in glass bowls with a plant & gravel with clean water. Good sign they care. 😊

Even on your first visit the associates treat you like they've known you for years. Very friendly and helpful. It's a great store! They even have a rewards program for buying dog food there where you can get a free bag of food every so often. You can't beat free...

Super nice folks with helpful advice, especially on freshwater fish and raw/natural canine diets. The owner, Mark, is awesome as is his staff. Though it's a small store, they manage to always have a better selection of what we need than the big box stores.

My family and I frequent the Fin & Feather of Ashland often to purchase supplies for our menagerie of animals and occasionally fish. We recently purchased birds and lots of supplies from Fin & Feather. The customer service is always terrific. Mark, the owner, and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. When we visit we enjoy seeing the animals too. It's a great local store.

Such good customer service even through the COVID-19. Wasn’t sure I wanted to buy something but the employee came out showed us, made sure the product would work for us; even went and tried it on there own systems. Very pleased with this location. Recently picked up Neocaridina shrimp and was so happy with the selection and size. It was a curbside pickup and Mark was very accommodating in helping me with my order. We received 15 shrimp in multiple colors (green. cherry, bloody mary, black sakura, various blues) in which some were baring shrimplets! Its been 6 days and they seem happier than ever.

I love this store. The feel of country friendliness ou can't find anywhere else.I could order online but I drive an hour just to visit the store and its ppl. Staff were incredibly friendly and super sweet. They loved my pup. I got customer assistance for which dog food to purchase. They carry high quality dog food and treats. I would come back again :).
