It’s such an amazingly stocked , clean, beautiful Nordstrom. They have the best sales associates. This review is specifically for a man named Ghana in the jewelry/ bag department - he was so helpful and professional. Nordstrom pentagon city is lucky to have him. I hope people can appreciate the experience of going in store vs online shopping. You can try on items and this store makes it so easy to find what you’re looking for !! I truly applaud everyone working there for creating a perfect shopping environment

Poor customer service. I asked what the return policy was at Nordstrom for open beauty products and the sales rep said “it’s Nordstrom, we don’t have a rerun policy. Everyone knows this”. I don’t like trying on testers for lipstick as was made to feel stupid for telling the sales rep I didn’t want to try the lipsticks on my lips. She then was very judgmental over the lipstick color I wanted (it’s a very popular Tom ford shade). I also had a poor experience at customer service getting my parking validated. Staff was pretentious and I will take my business elsewhere.

Dina is a gem. 💎 I’m a busy single parent and I needed a nice suit fast. She went out of her way to help me get a lot of options together and even brought me down to get a pair of shoes after the store had closed, so that I could be put together for an important event the next day. I honestly am moved by how well I was cared for. If you ever need a good suit, ask for Dina. ✨ She will get you together. There’s a great selection, as well.

Bridgett in lingerie was not customer friendly. She's the only person who does bra sizing for prosthetic breast. She's lack customer service and expertise. She gave my great aunt, who is 84, a breast that weighs around 12lbs, now she has shoulder pain from the bras and prosthetic breast. I just found out there are more light weight options from the company they received them from. She and two of her managers also tried to get my aunt to write her credit card info on a paper that wasn't even legible. When I asked to speak to the manager Bridgett initially said they weren't available and she didn't know when they would be available. I called corporate customer service and Bridgett suddenly found a manager to come talk to me. (I think her name was Brenda) the manager said yeah I wouldn't let my mom do that but that's the policy here. The manager couldn't even read the form either and decided to go get someone else's forms and read it to me! Even though they took all my aunt's information on an iPad and had her sign 3 releases electronically, they wanted her to physically write her credit card info down and Said they would store it in a file cabinet in the store. We declined so in order to get out of the store with the bras we had to pay full price even though they had all the insurance approvals. I filed a grievance with the insurance company and I spoke with the general manager at this location who apologized.I would NEVER recommend this service to anyone, especially people who have had their breast removed due to cancer. This entire experience caused undue hardship and now physical harm to my aunt. She could've been presented with other options when she stated how heavy it was in the dressing room. Bridgett told her to "just get used to it." We went to the doctor today for a post cancer check up and the doctor said there are other options she should've told you about. This is a very heavy breast for a woman of your size and age.Find somewhere else if you're looking for this service. The doctor recommended Amazon, even though insurance doesn't cover it, you can be reimbursed after the purchase.

I had 12,000.00$ cash for new dress shirts. I went to look for a textured black dress shirt and asked an associate for help. I told him that I wanted to see the texture, I didn't want the shirt to look smooth. I showed him the exact texture I wanted on a white shirt that they had. He said he had the same shirt in black and when he showed it to me, it didn't have the same texture. This was fine however, when I told him that the shirt didn't look the same to me, he told me that it's the same shirt and then told me to leave the store and try Hugo Boss a few stores down. My cash and I left, and I'm now wondering if this store doesn't like/want money.Update: After the store responded stating that I could send an e-mail to the e-mail address below to provide additional details. They replied by asking me for the store address and the original review. This data can be gathered from google. It seems as it is an attempt at the perception of good customer service. Same as in the store.

To start off I only shop at the Tysons Corner/ Galleria location but I decided to give Nordstrom in Arlington another try and I will say my shopping experience was impeccable…I believe her name is Sara and she work at the Creed department, she’s very knowledgeable and informant, yet professional and presentable. She was such a sweetheart and very understanding and gave me a few suggestions what scent my husband would like and so I got it…I love the fact that I didn’t feel pressured to buy something when walking through creed…I would definitely shop with this young lady again.

Nordstrom Cafe has been a signature part of our family night on Fridays since my kiddos were 2 and 4. They are now 7 and 9....Ms. Tado and Mr. Dris have been our servers from the very beginning and are fantastic. They do everything to make sure we are taken care of. Ms. Tado knows my kids and their diet restrictions and how they like their salmon and how to bake their bread - just right! We love Nordstrom Cafe and especially, Ms. Tado ❤️...

Three floors of lovely things that are beautifully displayed. I'm not ever going to spend $500 on a purse, but this is a good place to shop for those who can and do. There's a personal stylist available, a shoe shine stand, a cafe. I have friends who shop here all the time and love it.

I've been to at least a dozen different Nordstroms in various states, and this is unfortunately the worst and lowest quality one I've ever shopped at. Hardly any inventory, extremely disorganized, hard to find staff, merchandise is not current, and displays are dirty and broken. Returns are easy, and staff is nice when you get hold of someone.

What a dump! Nordstrom used to be known for its customer service. I tried to exchange a cosmetics item that was gifted to me for Christmas for another color, and it was such a horrible experience, I actually left my jacket at the counter because I was so upset. Nobody there noticed or bothered to come get me. The makeup "experts" lack rudimentary knowledge. There's a woman walking around wearing makeup like Daryl Hannah in Blade Runner, who has no idea what she's doing, except to advise customers to buy shades that are completely against their coloring and garish enough to make them look like drag queens. Then, when I was able to advocate enough for myself, it was nearly impossible to make the exchange. Three people worked on a simple gift exchange. They took off with my phone at one point and kept blowing me off in the middle of the process (which used to take just a couple of minutes at Nordstrom) to go help other customers. I had to keep interrupting them to get them to come back and finish the transaction. One of them at one point told me that I couldn't make an exchange because the person who gifted me the item used PayPal. I told him three times that that made no difference for an exchange. Then he told me he'd need all of my family member's account information to make the exchange. What kind of fraud is being run out of this place? Then another guy who I had to go get AGAIN finally figured out that they could return the item's value to a gift card then use the gift card to buy the new item. I feel that I was discriminated against because of my race. They kept giving me garbage while running off to help people of their own race. This place is a nightmare. No smiles, no questions about what I was looking for. Only rude, shady, discriminatory behavior. If you're going to try to get me to spend $1,000 on your cosmetics, you better at least provide a minimum of customer service. AVOID.

Just okay. I was bothered that I had to ask the price of perfume and holiday perfume sets on display because there are no price tags. When I am shopping for gifts I prefer to see how much it costs before I get to the check out. I didn't purchase anything even though I need three gifts...I'll go to a store that respects the customer more.

Sadly I had a nasty experience when calling customer service at this Nordstrom Fashion Centre at Pentagon City location on Dec 9. Spoke with a woman named “Tiffany” to ask about my pickup order that was ordered from Nordstrom Rack online for pickup in the Nordstrom store. My order had been in the “preparing for pickup” stage for several days, so I contacted Nordstrom Rack and they told me it had already been delivered to the Nordstrom store 5 days ago. When I called Nordstrom and explained what was happening to Tiffany, she was immediately agitated and aggressive, saying I should expect delays in a busy holiday season, she asked me if I was even going to pick up the order today (it was 30 minutes until closing, so her comment was meant to be snarky, however I do live across the street), then asked me “have you ever thought about calling the shipping company” (as if I know what internal shipper Nordstrom uses!), then she asked me twice “what do you want me to do about it”? Is this woman serious? You have a store-to-store transfer that has gone missing and somehow this is the customer’s problem to solve, and tell the employee what to do?? I told her I would expect her to attempt to find the package or cancel my order for a refund, or give me a corporate number to call for help. She then said “you can just Google the corporate number.” I couldn’t believe my ears!! A manager must have overheard this crazy conversation because suddenly she had a change of tune, said her manager was there with her and she was going to look for the package. She asked for my order number , put me on hold, and came back to say the package was indeed missing. Her manager gave her the corporate number, which she then repeated to me, and said I could call it for the refund. What an awful way to end my day. I have worked in retail for decades and am saddened at the state of customer service these days. I’m cancelling my Nordstrom card and saying good riddance!

Terrible experience today. Went to a register on the third floor, sales associate was having a social conversation with a customer for nearly ten minutes without acknowledging that I was waiting. I went to the first floor to pay, and found a shoe in the sales section. Took it to the register, and the associate there disappeared in the back for 5-10 min, then came back having forgotten what he was looking for. Then discovered after another several minutes that he couldn’t find the other shoe (only one was on the rack)!Took my initial purchase over to be gift wrapped, and am now approaching 20 minutes of watching this gift being wrapped while the associates gossip. No line at gift-wrapping, the store is not busy. Really frustrating.

Had such an odd experience it took a day to really understand how ridiculous it was. Stood at Tom Ford counter about five minutes, someone comes to help out with perfumes, I proceed to buy a box set of perfumes and the person helping me says "i'm a manager, i need to call the Tom Ford expert so she doesn't miss a sale" i'm like "ok sure" so she calls them she goes "where are you? there's a customer here..." then i wait a few minutes, the expert arrives, we change the employee number so she can take my card and scan it and then proceeds to gift wrap something i'd told the manager i didn't want gift wrapped. i get commissions a thing but, it was like the tackiest thing ever and i just couldn't believe as i was leaving that i waited like six minutes for this to happen for me.

I walked in the store trying to purchase an item. It’s locked out in the glass. The manager who had the keys was no where to be found. The assistant manager who also has the key is also nowhere to be found. I waited in the store for over 30 minutes. Because I really needed the Cufflinks, I had to wait on the floor while the sales agent get in touch with the managers. Terrible customer service.

Pentagon City- Not the Nordstrom experience I expected.Of the 4 team members I encountered during my shopping trip on Friday, 11-17, only the 4th, Gerren in Women's, was attentive, personable, provided suggestions, discussed available services like alterations, and let me know when she would be available for further assistance with my shopping needs. If I hadn't met Gerren, I would've left the store disappointed.
