I had to stop by last night to pick up few stuffs. Very disappointed with the lady by the register she was doing her own thing instead of helping customers. I asked her if she's open she just looking at me and gave me bad look. She is very rude. A Very nice gentleman by next register he called me to help which i do really appreciate even he apolgized for the bad service. I guess she doesn't like her Job there are so many good working people looking for a job.

Convenient location, but definitely not stocked to the capacity it needs to be for the amount of residents in the neighborhood. They can’t seem to keep meat on the shelves and now that they stopped carrying a couple brands I like, I’ll just go somewhere else. Good produce section though and friendly staff.

Having lived in Arlington, Virginia, for nearly forty years, my wife and I have had many experiences, some good, some bad. We've seen forests turned into large shopping malls, small family businesses replaced by huge corporate office buildings, more and more people of all sorts--good and bad--come and go. Now in the autumn of our years, one sometimes feels less in touch with the community and people who live and work here. Today, however, we were reminded of the blessings amongst the bustle: A kind, personable employee of Harris Teeter named Sharon Walker truly went above and beyond in assisting my disabled wife shopping, organizing, bagging and lifting her grocery purchases onto her walker -- all with a heartwarming smile. Ms Walker's cheerful attitude, extra effort and assistance reflected highly upon the professionalism of herself, the employee team of Harris Teeter, and on the Harris Teeter grocery chain in general. Thank you!

The location of this grocery store is very good. It’s pay to park unless you want to risk not paying the meters (: there is a hair cutting place e nearby, bed bath beyond, and many restaurants that you can make an entire day out of. Photos as of August 2018.

This is a great Harris Teeter location. Free garage parking. Selection across the store is good. Huge produce and meat selection. Self checkout is always staffed and moves quickly. No longer requiring masks for those vaccinated per CDC guidelines.

October 14, 2022Empty shelves. Several sale items out of stock. Of course! They were the very reason for my driving 20 miles round trip. It's just unbelievable. Tried to pick up a pork loin but could not. Why? Because the shelving was so filthy the plastic packaging was "glued" to it. I took that as a sign that we need to eat more fruits and vegetables.Incorrect or no signage. Many items are strangely placed. Where is the honey? It's not in the baking ingredient aisle? I found agave, monk fruit, turbinado sugar, white sugar, brown sugar, stevia - yet no honey? Oh, I know. It must be in the cereal/pancake aisle? Nope! Condiment aisle? Uh uh. I gave up.Bob's Red Mill products are an end cap in frozen foods? Makes absolutely no sense. I found it completely by accident while trying to decide if I thought $9 for 1 dozen organic eggs justifiable. The vine grown tomatoes are terrible now. They used to be pretty good but they're no longer getting them from Canada. We could immediately taste the difference. Unfortunately I had not noticed the different sticker before buying.Drove 10 miles to this location this morning because it had always been my favorite location. Very few customers which I had also noticed during my last few visits. Spooky quiet.I just don't know what to think about this location. Ever since the Bed Bath & Beyond closed next door it seems to have adversely affected Harris Teeter Pentagon Row. I had believed with the new Target opening where BBB had been would reinvigorate HT Pentagon Row but that does not seem to be the case. If anything, this store has gotten worse.Old review from 2014:This is a very nice Harris Teeter supermarket. It's my favorite out of all in the DC suburbs. It's very clean, well stocked and organized, convenient (open 24 hrs!) and no stress plus free parking. Yes free! It's not necessary to feed the meter. Push the button for 30 free minutes or 60 free minutes. Parking signs clearly inform patrons the time limits in each row. This location also has a very good floral department. In spring and autumn they offer a variety of indoor/outdoor greenery, flowers and hanging baskets.Fantastic wine section and cheese department too. Folks working in the Deli Department are friendly and fast. If you're unsure about anything they will give you a sample.Mr. Victor in the Fish and Seafood department is extremely knowledgeable. He's always friendly and helpful. I sometimes ask ridiculous questions and he's always patient and gives me solid advice about cooking technique, or what type of fish might be best for a particular recipe. He's a superb employee and wonderful person.

I purchased a bag of deluxe mixed nuts in January 2024 and found the expiry was July 2023. I consider the store staff doesn't care about quality of products they sell. The store is more like a warehouse without adequate management than a store.

This store is as bad as it has always been. They sell quite a lot of expired or moldy food, and the staff (except the cashiers) can be pretty rude sometimes. I have contacted the corporate office and they told me they were trying to improve their processes. Nearly a year later, the issues remain.I used to love ordering subs from the deli, but I've stopped over the last few months because one guy at the deli is rude and acts like he can handle 2 or 3 subs at once (he can't). He loves asking at the beginning for you to list everything you want on your sub at once, then forgets what you want and you have to correct him. It's not just once or twice, this has happened 4 times. At this point, I try to order when he isn't around, but then he appears asks you what you want. While he is still working on your sub, he asks the person behind you what they want (he can't remember more than 2-3 items at once, and it isn't even busy). If you don't list everything, he assumes you just want bread..Overall, I cannot stand this store anymore. If I want moldy and expired food, there are closer Harris Teeters with about the same quality.

Cashier Kiashu A. wasn't very nice to us. My husband tries to tell her that we are deaf. She laughed and whisper to another cashier. Very RUDE. We are frequently customer and this is not acceptable!

Worst grocery store ever. All the produce is overpriced and half rotted. The whole store smells like fish. If you need to buy overpriced junk food this is the store for you. Otherwise, even Whole Foods is a better deal than this dump.

Miss Angela is the best! She is smart, kind, and extremely knowledgeable in her job. The woman is a jewel. If you want something done, ask Angela. She will make it right and make it happen ASAP. The newer, young ones should learn from her how to take care of your customers. THANK YOU, MISS ANGELA!

Unfortunately I have to give this store a very bad review today. I purchased 2lbs of shrimp (not frozen) from seafood department on the evening on Oct 22, 2023. This shrimp spoiled and smelled of ammonia when I opened at home. Thankfully I noticed it and immediately took the shrimp back to the store. I was respectful and didn't want to make a big deal out of it, all I wanted was to get a refund and something instead of the bad shrimp which was sold to me. I brought the issue up to Liam Riley and he assisted me in getting my refund. However, the store manager Anees Khan wanted to charge me for the meat I picked up. Also she was completely unapologetic and told me to lower my voice when I was completely calm, though upset with the situation. I wanted to be nice by notifying them of the issue and honestly thought that it's fair to ask for some gratitude after my family was almost poisoned, but my request was denied. I understand that that may be something they cannot do, but at the very least Anees owed me an apology as she is the manager of the store.I used to come here 3-4 times a week and I can afford to buy $35 pack of meat, but it will be at another store for now. I recommend staying away from seafood section at this store. I hope they will look after their "fresh" seafood and meat section better now.

This supermarket is very well located, have a good sort of product, but unfortunately, the price is high and the shelf as not so well organized and clean. They accept only physical cards no digital (apple, Google) pay is possible.

Awesome Harris Teeter store! I was helped by Vickie and Kashayah and they were both so friendly and delightful. The store is very clean and organized. Great experience! Awesome hot sauce selection as well!

This store is clean, well stocked, and has a great selection of products. I especially love the deli and butcher sections! Boar's Head makes my favorite london broil, and Harris Teeter actually has an excellent butcher with very high quality meat, and frequent sales/discounts! This is my favorite grocery store chain!

I go here about 3 times a week. Great store, helpful staff and usually fast checkout if you go off peak after 630pm. Great prices, but you have to look and compare like measurements (oz to oz for ex).

Over the years I have had well over 100 Harris Teeter subs. Today Janelle made the best one I have ever had. She is very easy to talk to and a great salesperson. Suggesting signing up for the VIP program and talking about all the percs. If every employee made sandwiches like her, Jimmy Johns and Subway would be in big trouble. Thank you!

Pretty good HT, size-wise. One of the main reasons I live on this side of town!I bring my service dog in all the time, too, with no problems, in fact one of the deli persons is a dog trainer! We've had some good convos! The manager has, a couple of times, approached us in a friendly way telling me no pets- kind of ired me since I'm that way, but he wasn't rude. Just a note for stores, if you see a person walking a dog inside a store, the first thing you should do is ask if it's a service dog (one of two questions you are legally allowed, and in food stores obligated, to ask). Dogs do not need to wear a vest. For everyone giving side glances, I get it, have been in your shoes before, as long as the dog is behaving itself, there's no issue. Don't approach, don't interact with the dog at all, that means no looks, no excited voice. Pretend it's not there. This helps the owner, it helps the dog focus on the owner (which is the dog's job as a service animal), and helps everyone around the dog.

AJ was very helpful and hardworking from restocking shelves to getting items I could not reach! Generally employees here are very nice! This Harris Teeter is a bit smaller, but still plenty to find!

This store is absolutely the worst. They are really good at hiding price tags in quite a few sections. Also, in the same category (eg cheddar cheese) some items have "price per ounce" estimate whereas others have "price per pound" so it's hard to compare which one is cheaper. The bread selection is awful.

Unfortunately they have a lot of baby food on their shelves that is supposed to be refrigerated. I am hoping they resolve this issue soon so I may continue to shop there.

It's good, but don't know how to become a vic member. It looks like prices are much higher if you are not. Also they don't accept pay with cellphone

This is a good grocery store to come to for a quick visit and be able to get almost anything you need. The parking is really easy. It just registers when you get there and then you have to make sure you're out within the allotted time. You can pay if you need to be there longer, but otherwise it's free.

Today January 8th, it’s Sunday, the time was 3 O’clock, I came with my husband for shopping and I picked a toy that I was interested to buy for my daughter, I went to the self checkout, I was confused about the price because I picked the toy from the sale but the scan showed me full price, with a smile on my face I tried to ask the sale girl who was supposed to be there to help, before I say my question she told me scan your (Vic card) she spoke with attitude. I went ahead and scanned it and the I went to her again checking on the price because it’s still not what I expected , again and before I say my questions she told me yes press pay with very disrespectful attitude , I said you know what I don’t want to buy it and I left with anger and disappointment. Very bad customer service and it wasn’t the first time .

Clean, great produce section being actively worked, Super Attentive Staff as 4 people spoke and offered advice within 20 minutes of visit on a holiday first trip. Manager was super active on the floor and available to receive feedback about my great experience. I’ll make the short trip from DC when I want a great shopping experience.
