I had a fantastic experience with my golden retriever puppy's first grooming at Dogma. The team showed exceptional patience, gently easing her into the process, which made her feel comfortable and safe. The grooming quality was outstanding—her coat was left shiny, soft, and beautifully trimmed, clearly showing the staff's attention to detail and use of high-quality products. Most importantly, she was visibly happy and energetic afterward, indicating a positive and caring experience.

Had a fantastic experience! We had a little scheduling snafu and I had to a wait a bit to get in, and they were nice enough to give me a discount on the grooming to make up for it. It was our (somewhat anxious) pup’s very first grooming and as far as we can tell the groomer did an A+ job with her. Will definitely be back!

There is customer service…then there is go beyond customer service like it’s a passion to make their customers happy, more than just satisfied. The lengths this store went to find food was unbelievable. I was absolutely gobsmacked impressed with everything about this store. Great people! Great brands! Great atmosphere! Great in-house baked goods! Don’t waste time with big box. Be a local and shop at a store that will get to know you and your beloved pet.

Our boy turned 17 today. We wanted to make this birthday extra special for him. Therefore, my wife went to Dogma and had a great experience ordering a birthday cake for our son. She explained what she wanted and what it needed to say on the cake. The cake was paid for and was told we can pick it up today after 12noon. My wife went to get the cake and it’s amazing! We have a saying in our home: “Go big or go home” and well, we did just that with the cake. We have lots of leftovers and we put it in the freezer so the kids can have treats later. Thank you again to Dogma for making our son’s 17th birthday special. We appreciate you all!

My dog is annoyingly picky when it comes to treats; he goes full Gordon Ramsay unless it's chicken or cheese. For his birthday, I found Dogma online, gave it a try, and it was a hit. I got the muffin (apparently the best seller) and a couple of small treats. My dogs loved it, especially the picky one. He barely found time to breathe while eating it. This might be 'normal' for other dogs, but not for my furry Gordon Ramsay. The picture says it all 😅

Love coming to this dog shop. The staff are always so friendly and always give my pup a treat and even ask if she has any allergies before giving it to her. Also, their selection of dog food, treats, and other pet items are all great quality. Definitely feels like a dog boutique, adding to the charm and quality of the store. I love it so much!

Dogma is one of my favorite places to take a pup. They have a great selection of toys, food, and healthy things for dogs to chew. And, maybe best of all, they offer a 15% discount if you’re fostering! I took my foster, Brielle, in the other day to pick out a toy and some chews - Dogma has the chews at pup height so Brie could just walk along and tell me which one she wanted! Brie loves loves loves her toy!

Dogma did a wonderful job with our dog's personalized birthday cake for her 12th birthday. The design is lovely and she thought it was delicious. She also enjoyed the toys and goodies in party pack, pictured next to her. The birthday crown in the party pack was a nice surprise and oh so perfect. Thank you Dogma for making our fur baby's 12th birthday so special! What a wonderful way to celebrate and make memories with our beloved pup.

A great dog and cat store that is fun and caring. They contribute/participate with the local pet charities and you can’t ask more than that. Santa pics were so much fun and Lucky Dog benefited!

I called and left a message about a mini cake to be ready within the promised 3 days. They were prompt to call me back; the purchase & scheduling pick up time was also smooth over the phone. Dogma is easy to find and they have a lot of other treats, bakery items, and toys to buy inside. Best of all, pup loved the cake :)

Very knowledgeable and kind staff. Healthy options for your pet. I love this store because they don’t sell food you would find in big pet stores that are actually harmful for your dog. Open 7 days a week. Their bakery has great selection. Though I can order my dog food online I rather help small businesses like this. We need more businesses like this one if we want to keep our pets healthy with healthy options. Keep up the great work that’l you do. Me and my dog thank you.

Dogma did a very good job of grooming my aussie. The groomer listened to my preferences without hurrying me, was pleasant, and and we looked over the dog together when I picked him up. I also like that you drop off your dog and pick him up when done being groomed. This is good since dogs can get stressed at the groomer. It's also small which I like so they only groom a few dogs at a time and have a fenced in area to keep the dogs separated. Other grooming places are now allowing several dogs of varying sizes and temperaments to run loose like a dog daycare but without any supervision. Since dogs don't always get along, this is a very bad idea and makes for a stressful environment.

Love Dogma, they have a great selection and the service is excellent. The dog bakery is fun and my dog agrees! They even gave me a discount off an item that the packaging was slightly damaged without me having to ask for it (I wouldn’t have as it didn’t seem like a big deal, but was really thoughtful of them)! I really appreciated their attentiveness and above and beyond effort to create a positive experience.

I couldn't be happier with the dog cake that I got from Dogma for my beloved Hiro's 9th birthday! The entire experience was positively amazing. Hiro's eyes lit up when he saw it, and he couldn't wait to dive in.The cake itself was not only visually appealing but also incredibly tasty for Hiro. It was evident that it was made with high-quality ingredients, and Hiro devoured it in no time. It was the highlight of his birthday celebration, and he was one happy pup! Not only was the cake a hit with Hiro, but it was also a hit with his brother, Butters. Our dog loves the homemade baked goods! You have never seen a 14 year old dog get so excited as when we pull out a bag of Dogma bakery treats. And the treats are big so they can be broken up into smaller servings. Anytime we are in Shirlington this is a must stop!

Absolutely pawsome experience! My boy Cuzco and I visited for the first time for his 7th birthday and we got him a mini cake. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They offer a wide variety of delicious and healthy snacks for pups of all sizes and dietary needs. His favorite is the sweet potato bone-shaped biscuits. It's evident they truly care about the well-being of their four-legged customers and deliver exceptional customer service. Highly recommend this place for any dog parent looking to spoil their furry loved ones.

I'm so grateful I found this dog fresh bakery! They bake fresh dog treats daily! My german shepherd loves them! They also only carry high quality bagged treats + other cool things for your pet! The staff are extremely friendly and glad to help find something you are looking for. A lot of cool stuff in there!

Both dogs that I've had in this area have really enjoyed this little bakery. The treats change pretty regularly and I believe they also do special orders (they also have doggy gift bags for dog parties - super cute pre-set idea!). I have not used the grooming service and have not adopted from the shelters/rescues that are partnered with this store. They also have an awesome selection of premium dog foods and treats, and I've managed to get a lot of healthy treats for my pups here! I don't buy the merch and decor meant for humans, but that's mostly because they don't ever have items for my breeds (pom and cavalier).

We love Dogma. They carry a great selection of treats and toys, including Fluff & Tuff, which are the only chew toys that hold up with our pup Ranger. We’ve gotten our dog bed here, training treats, treats from the bakery, and puppy ice cream. We love it. They also sponsor adoption meet & greets with City Dogs Rescue, which is near and dear to us since it’s where we adopted our buddy.

They have a ton of things for pets, not just food. And my fur ball LOVED the new treats. The cashier was very, very helpful as well. Definitely where I'll be buying treats and things from now on!

Loved my experience at Dogma Bakery! I got a mini birthday cake for my pup along with some treats from their bakery and two plush toys. The cake and the treats were a hit and were devoured within the day.For anyone buying a cake, my dog is about 60lbs so the mini was perfect for her to eat. If you have smaller dogs, I feel like the mini cake can be divided for 2 pups.

Had the best time picking out treats during our visit. Definitely will come back for the freeze dried bulk section!Update: came back and got my girl a beef cheek roll. 30/10!! I am now able to enjoy a drink at an outdoor restaurant with friends and bring her along. It has entertained her for hours so far and she barely has made a dent in it. THANK YOU!!

Cute little pet store in Shirlington. Quaint but has the necessities. Staff is friendly and the bakery is nice. Some items are pricey but I don't mind spending here because it is privately owned.
