When we first started staying here 5+ years ago, it wasn't too bad. Unfortunately, the last few times it went downhill - misc. junk laying outside of the hotel, smoke-filled hallways, pictures faded throughout the site, and when checking out a few minutes before 11am - they were already knocking on the door yelling that it's the 'check out' time. Really? Why do that? We were already on our way out and didn't need a reminder. Although the rooms seemed 'okay,' next time, we'll pass on this hotel altogether / never again until they can begin to take pride in their hotel.

In severe need of upgrading inside and outside. Bathroom was nasty, sink didn't drain. Just outside was a dump of old broken chairs, broken grill and a old metal frame to a gazebo with no canopy. Electric wires running all outside along the walls. Couldn't see out the dingy window and the curtains were dry rotted.Noteworthy details: Big mistake to stay here. Didn't look like the pictures.

The only thing I can say good about this hotel is the location! The room itself was typical Super8! Bathroom wasn't too bad, but the faucet in the tub was constantly dripping, couldn't get it to turn off completely. The carpet was FILTHY! We had a small dog with us who has light colored fur on her legs,,, after running around on the floor for about an hour (hadn't even been outside yet) her paws were black - looked like she had been running around in coal dust! If there were "negative stars" available, that's what this review would be! Hallway (with visible Roach Traps in the corners) was just as bad looking as the room and back exterior door to hallway was broken - not secure! There is good parking available and some grassy areas for walking dogs.Plenty of stores & restaurants close by.Food & drinks: "free breakfast" was juice, coffee and a Hostess Ding-Dong or muffin.Noteworthy details: Never going to stay here again!

I almost feel like this is heaping on, but poor service is poor service. I made my reservation about 2 months ahead of time. The afternoon of my stay I was notified by email that my reservation had been canceled. Unfortunately I never saw the email before I arrived and learned that my room had been given to someone else. I made the reservation because I knew how busy the hotels would be that evening. Unfortunately, I was forced to sleep in my car that night. Did they care? Not a bit.

This is absolutely the worst hotel ever!! I drove 7 hours away from home after reserving a room and I got there around 1 am to check in just for him to tell me you have to be 21 which it doesn't say anything about that in the reservation online. So now me my wife and my 3 year old have no where to stay for the night. Negative stars if I could.

Had a reserved and paid for room, I have proof it was paid for. Called before AND after making said reservations to let the desk clerk put in my notes I wouldn't arrive until 7 or 8 am on check out day (we only needed to nap literally) she gladly extended my check out time til 12 on the phone! When we got there she refused to give me a room stating my card was declined. I had prepaid for this room over a week before hand. Still trying to get my money back after me my bonus kid and bf had to sleep in a car!!!!!

Honest to God this place deserves less than zero stars! When we went to check in, there was no one at the desk. We used the phone to call for service and they didn't understand what we were saying. When they finally showed up to check us in, there was a huge language barrier. We also come to find out we are the only guests at the motel that day. Shady. We also noticed a few ground floor windows wide open with cigarettes and lighters sitting on the sill. That's a wonderful security issue! So, the room... STUNK! Like musty stale fritos and death! Giant brown stains. Messy beds. Moldy bath mat. Just NO!

The room was filthy. Floors were damp and covered with black stains. Sheets had burnholes all over. My husband, toddler, and I woke up with stick on body jewelry stuck to us. The window had no screen and opened all the way on the second floor. The sink had no hot water. The towel rack was held up by 2 rolls of toilet paper. There was a used tampon where the tissue paper goes under the sink. There were broken nails, cigarette butts, and garbage in the drawer. The internet barely functioned.

1 night, 2 people, mid-May. Comfortable bed. Good water flow in sink and shower. Room was a bit dark; dark bedspread and carpet. Light switch by entrance did not work. No USB ports. Sink drained slowly, backed up. Toilet seat would not stay up. Overall, adequate for a one-night stay.

We saw a couple small roach looking bugs in the room. "Breakfast" was literally Twinkies and DingDongs which my kids thought was great but it should NOT be advertised as breakfast. We would not have stayed here because we had to go buy breakfast both days. The place smelled smoky. We slept well and the shower was nice.

The room was clean, the shower was hot. For some people that’s enough.Things were just off. The room didn’t resemble the pictures on line. It was dark and the walls were bare. The toilet seat kept sliding when you sat on it. The bathroom counter was extremely low and if it was meant for a wheelchair, there’s not enough clearance underneath. The sink’s plumbing is reversed: hot was on the cold side. The lamp outlets had a decorative edge that prevented Apple transformers from seating in the outlets. The refrigerator was unplugged and was warm; I wasn’t able to get it cold enough for my perishables. I chose this hotel because it advertised breakfast. The coffee was weak, the juice watered down. The only “food” was packaged small squares of “coffee cake” of unknown age. I signed that I would not smoke, but when I stepped out of the room in the morning, the hall and lobby were thick with cigarette smoke. One or two of these things are an annoyance, all of them together made the stay unpleasant.

Save your money - Stay away! Wyndham Hotels and Priceline should be ashamed!I made the reservation (and paid for it) through Priceline at this Wyndham hotel, a few weeks in advance, to attend a wedding (the suggested hotel was sold out). We arrived at our pre-paid hotel, about an hour before the Ceremony, in time to change clothes and head out. I was beyond the no-penalty cancellation time, and had no time to find another hotel, or we would miss the wedding. The Lobby was very depressing - filthy (OLD) carpet, BAD smell, Temperature too warm (about 10 degrees warmer than 80 degree outdoors). The attendant was nice, but was difficult to understand.First issues: No Elevator - No Luggage Carts - Long walk carrying baggage up filthy carpeted stairs through hot smelly hallways.Side entrance into hotel doors do not lock. Instead, each entrance has a sign posted saying "This door is only for customers staying here", which no doubt works as well as doors opened with guest's key cards? ALL hallway floors are covered with filthy/old and heavily stained carpets, and walls are missing paint from (I would guess) YEARS of scrapes. Lumber/various boards are stacked in the hallway corners. The Room was filthy and smelled of heavy deodorizer to cover up odors from previous guests, smoke and pets - I had to open the window for a few minutes in order to breathe. The Carpet was VERY dirty - do NOT risk going barefoot in the room! There is No Way to turn Lights on near the room entrance - the Light Switch on wall is not connected to anything. The Beds were both very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.Other room issues: The Door Bolt Lock is broken. The Safe is broken. The Iron is missing. The Window is filthy Several surfaces/Lamps in the room are covered in dust/grime. The Mini Fridge is iced over - Defrost is LONG overdue. The Bathroom Door's top hinge is broken, making the Bathroom Door impossible to close. The Bathroom Wall has "spots", and the baseboard across from toilet has "brown streaks".The "Included "Breakfast" was unbelievable! It consisted of (about 6 oz) styrofoam cups for coffee and juice (apple and orange), tea bags, but no water, unless you want to buy a small bottle from the vending machine down the hall and microwave it (please don't microwave the styrofoam cups), and best of all, a 1.45 ounce Hostess Coffee Cake!!!I have traveled extensively (all 50 states, all US territories, and more than 100 countries). I've even slept in un-airconditioned tents with 19 other service members in the desert heat during combat conditions, while incoming missiles woke us up. THIS was one of the absolute worst accomodations that I have experienced, and I should have forfeited my room charge, driven to Walmart and slept in my compact car in their parking lot! Wyndham Hotels and Priceline should be ashamed!

This place was not in the best of shape. Everything was old, outdated, dingy, dirty-looking. When we got there, our room smelled so bad, so we looked around and finally discovered the smell was coming from a bunch of food that was left in the refrigerator from a previous guest. We arrived late at night, and when it was time to check out in the morning, we asked for a courtesy of an extra 30 minutes. The lady at the front desk said that it wasn't possible. So, we rushed and got out of there. Since she gave me no explanation, I just can't see why an extra 30 minutes would make such a difference. Especially since no one cleaned the refrigerator, it could have been an excellent little compensation since we needed to use the fridge. Even with all of that, I will say that we did feel a little compassion for the owners. It seemed to be a husband and wife team who didn't have much help and were possibly doing everything themselves. That still doesn't make it enjoyable to stay in an unclean environment.

Had 2 bed room. This place badly needs a rehab. The heater/AC unit under window has buttons you can hardly push. Due to covid you could only get coffee or orange juice in the very small lobby. That's not their fault. We had a five night stay. Rug was not vacuumed. Beds were made up but sheets were not changed. Cups were not replenished. Sink backed up and drained very slowly. Shower was ok. The TV worked fine. Also had a refrigerator that needed defrosting badly, and the refrigerator froze the food we did put in there. At $70/night tho, we were thankful the rates were reasonable. We were in town for a funeral...it was not a vacation.

Filthy place looks like a crack or meth house. Staff are losers that will say literally anything to get you in the door. Stay away loaded with bed bugs and roaches.Noteworthy details: Not a safe place for a family

This place was very decent. The room was clean and comfortable. The area felt safe and I had no problems. The person working the front desk was helpful. There is no elevator and the hallways are a little musty, but the room smelled fine. Breakfast is the usual continental breakfast. There was a strange feeling to the floor by the bathtub, like the floor would give a little when stepped on.

Nice older hotel. Although it was an older building, it was well kept and our room was clean and comfortable. Great staff. Very personable. Plenty of grassy areas if you have four legged family members with you. There is a pet fee. (Thank you to all the pet owners who have let their pets mess up rooms). Coffee was really good. Right on the main road. Less than 10 minutes from Appomattox. Definitely would stay there again.

Not happy at All. We were promised a roll away bed was available when we booked our room but was not an option when we arrived. Two adults and a teenager was weird sleeping in the same bed. The room smelled bad, the “complimentary breakfast” was non existent. Will not return.

Really great place to stay for a while. Good breakfast, comfy beds, good supply of really hot water, microwave in room also a fridge. Got a fantastic price for multi night stay as well. Felt like I was very welcome when I walked in to the office. Great people and very honest (my daughter left her bag behind).

After searching for a hotel I chose this one based on its reviews for cleanliness. I am pleased to say I would stay here again. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was decent. Staff was friendly only reason not a five is my toilet was running. Pleasant experience . thank you

We arrived and had to go through 3 rooms before we got one that had actually been cleaned. The exhaust fan of the bathroom was horrid and the tub was losing its finish. We tried to get more towels and they wanted us to bring the dirty ones back. The breakfast was almost non-existent.However most of the rooms are going through renovation and, it looks like all the mattresses have been recently switched out (the old ones are still in the dumpster). We spent about 170 for two days, and I definitely don't think we got our moneys worth.

The hotel is old and smelly, the carpet as are stained, the tiolet ran constantly. The internet is a joke….sooooo slow and weak it is useless.“Free Breaskfast” is a cup of coffee or orange juice and a Twinkie or dumb-dumb…..I’m not kidding!!!For $20 more stay at the Longacre of Appomattox B&B.

Not even worth the $70! BR sink was clogged, toilet seat was broken, towels were thin and rough. Outside areas were a mess - overflowing trash cans. Female at front desk was rude and barely spoke any English. We checked in at 9pm and asked for an extra hour to check out. She said that was an extra $25! Exterior door next to our room had key entry but was not locked. Security latch was missing on our door. Initially gave 2 stars but after all the above I need to change that to a one or less!!!!!!
