Always in-stock, they have the best and most gluten free items of anywhere in the surrounding counties. Great customer service and the to-go orders are always on-time, accurate and fresh.

Kroger has lots of choices of food and other items to choose from. Some prices are a little higher than other stores but good quality and they do have nice sales. Great fruit in stocks. Use your Kroger card and save more.

This Kroger used to have more groceries but now every time I go they don't have something I need. I have also seen torn and ripped packages on the shelves. Their prices are a little higher than some other grocery stores. Most of their employees are friendly but there are a few who are a little rude.

I have always loved the Kroger in Appomattox even though it is small and limited in the items it carries. It was always friendly and helpful and easy and the people where awesome. I have been doing deliveries for a while because I was sick so I hadn't been in the store for some time. I was sad at my most recent visit... The store is still clean and stocked well and fresh but the atmosphere is different... Very short staffed only 1 register open they preferred it if you did self check out and the staff monitoring the self check out (4 kids) were doing nothing, not helping if help was needed, were kinda rude, just laughing and joking, not paying attention to the customers at all, and were of no help to nobody what so ever. At the 1 open register there was no bagger like there use to be. There was no one at customer service and the phone just rang off the hook and when I asked the girl who was checking me out a simple question the one and only person who I guess was suppose to be the acting manager came over and snapped at me for asking a simple question and told me that I couldn't hold up the line by asking questions that I would have to pay and bag up my groceries and then go over to the customer service desk and wait there for someone to come over and I could ask my question there. To say I was shocked and surprised is an understatement. I paid, I bagged up my groceries and I left. I tried to call back a few days later and surprise the phone just rang off the hook... After 15 tries over the course of 5 hours I finally was able to get someone to answer the phone and I said I have a question and was told we are to busy and short staffed if you have a question come into the store Thank You and they hung up wow 😲 is all I can say... I hope they turn this store around and it goes back to what it once was because it breaks my heart to see how it is right now....

Tonight I was told the self check out lanes were reserved for customers with 11 items or less. I questioned the long lines at the only two full service lanes and was told when they are understaffed they have only one or two lanes open for full service. Going forward I will purchase only 11 items that cannot be found at other stores and take the balance of my business elsewhere.

I love shopping at this Kroger. Has a pharmacy located inside of the grocery store. Good deals on meat. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The store was immaculate including the restrooms. The store was well stocked and plenty of cashiers available with hardly no wait.

I have gone to this Kroger for my deli meat for about 11 years and the service is usually wonderful at the deli. The women of color in there work so hard and so does the older white lady [who has been there forever]But during my most recent trip today, this was not the case. With several folks in line, the young white girl [nametag started with a B] she looked like she didnt brush her hair before work and she didnt aknowlege the customers at all.

Excellent produce and the cashier was awesome. We didn't have a Kroger card and when asked if she could scan one gave us an application for a card and when we got the card and returned said that the card worked with Harris Teeter and it most certainly did.

I've shopped at our local Kroger store off and on for about the last 5 years or so. It's a nice store and the location is mostly convenient too. Also, I really like so much the Pharmacy employees! How I wish more like them could actually work in the grocery section of the store itself. With this said, that's about all I can say on the positive side about this store. Each time I've gone in, the employees are somewhat friendly but usually they don't go out of their way to make you feel welcome even with just a friendly hello or smile. Anything to acknowledge some kind of welcome when they see you. And sometimes it's hard to find an employee to ask them a question or well it's just hard to find an employee period should you need anything. Through out most of my shopping trips to this Kroger store has been, to put it nicely, less than desirable. I really like this Kroger store and don't have a problem with finding what I need or want as it always seems to stay very well stocked with most items through out the store. However, the employees is another issue within itself. My experience today was just beyond terrible and not how stores should handle their customers to say the least. When a store opens regardless the time that's means they should be ready to wait on someone and do their job. Didn't have any problem getting my items and even had one or two of the employees that were very friendly and nice to me which meant so much. But when I went to check out the items, NO ONE was at a cash register!!! The only register that was open was the Self-Checkout! I had a whole cart full of items that needed to be checked out. I had never worked one of those registers by myself before and really needed a regular cashier to help check out my items. Stood in the front looking at all of the registers and each one was not lite up except for the Self-Checkout register. I saw a shelf-stocker and they were nice enough to get me someone to help check my items out but it happened to be the Customer Service lady in front at the C.S. desk. The whole time I was going through this not one time did this C.S. employee show any kind of help to me whatsoever. The C.S. personnel finally came and helped but it was reluctant and forced which of course made me feel beyond bad not only as a person but as a customer especially the later of the two!! I could feel the coldness from her as if I was truly bothering her or something. Even said a couple of times (which I didn't have to of course) sorry for this or didn't mean to bother you only to get a slight whisper of a reply and even that was hard to pick up as she didn't even look at me and smile the whole time she was checking me out. The time I went to the store was between 6:00 - 7:00 am. I said to her, wow! there's no cashiers why? She just said, they don't come in til later. Regardless, I told her the store is open NOW so someone should be waiting on customers like me with a lot or just a little didn't matter. There should be at least one cashier helping people and checking out their items or groceries no matter the time as long as the store is open. She never responded. I just felt sick after that whole experience needless to say. There was no excuse in an employee being this way with a customer! Even though she checked me out she was reluctant to do it and had a terrible attitude as if I didn't even exist. Other than just a few other customers in the store I was the only one with a cart full of items and got treated like this. Will probably take this one to Corporate Headquarters. Sorry but there's just no excuse in this kind of treatment towards any customer or human being especially business wise on Kroger's behalf to not have at least (1) cashier in front working as soon as the store opens. I will still go back to this store because I do like it and because of the prices and most of the nice employees but after an experience such as I had of course it will put a very bad taste in my mouth to never want to go back again. Pray this never happens again. Shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Whoever brought my pickup order yesterday didn't take the stuff that was out of stock off of my receipt and now I have to go through the customer service chat for probably the next hour to not pay money for items I didn't receive. It wouldn't have taken two minutes to make sure that my order was correct - which I know because I did.

Kroger’s originated in Ohio where I am from. I grew up shopping at Kroger‘s and I can say that this is the Worse Kroger’s (inside and the outside) I’ve ever been to. I moved to Farmville, Va from Ohio. Where I only have a Walmart or Food Lion to shop at (which I do not care for either). I heard there was a Kroger’s approximately 25 minutes away for me and was super excited to shop there. However, this was the first time I visit this Kroger’s and it will be the last time! It is run down, smelly and there’s mold in every corner you look. This store is Disgusting to say the least and Kroger’s should be a shame to have this store with their name on it.

Went to this Kroger later at night This place has nothing really compared to every other Kroger I've seen and it doesn't seem like people are enforcing their own mask rules. Not stocked well and it's not practicing safe environment from virus

They have horrible customer service, always out of or never get advertised items! Rarely can find anyone for help, specifically in the meat & dairy depts! Deli employees can be rude, are VERY slow to wait on customers, mist if the time they are way in the back chit-chatting-much like in the bakery dept. Always have a problem at self-checkout, I am routinely over chared for the items I purchased; have to come back & stand in (long & SLOW cust. svc.lines, don't sell ANY make-up; absurd! Always find expired foods on shelves, dairy dept, MEAT Dept. I call it to the attention of an employee if one happens to be around & they usually just shrug their shoulders & I just shake my head.

A very professional hard working Pharmacy team at this store. The Pharmacist deserves a raise for her kindness, professionalism and putting customers first.

Digital coupons don't aways work. I down loaded Friday & Saturday coupons. When I got home only one item was e-coup discount show up. 3 8oz cheese should have been .99 cents each, but you didn't get it also Gatorade $3.99. Nabisco products worked. I am 70 years of age. Why aren't the digital coupons located in one place on ad. It sometime takes 20 minutes to sort out on Friday morning. This trip cost me $5.00 more than it should have been. HELP!####

Poor Appomattox Kroger, the stepchild of Kroger, Inc. What has happened over the last year and a half? Too much dysfunction and no way to play catchup? Sad, because the demographics of the surrounding area that are capable of supporting this store is amazing! No, I'm not a Walmart shopper...I will keep driving to The Burg for what I need AND sadly sometimes it's just the basics, not the steaks, not the seafood, but the basics, eggs, pieshells, thin bagels.

If you can go to another kroger, don't come here. Has about 1/3 of what every other Kroger has in terms of groceries in the entire state of Virginia. Most self check registers are dirty. Worst of all, no matter the time, none of the workers enforce mask rules, at least 3 people are walking around at all times with no mask, they should be shut down

We really need a larger store so that two carts can maneuver the aisles without knocking the endcap displays. This store is the best for local shoppers but if you want the best selection you will need to go to a Kroger in Lynchburg.

A really nice grocery store. Some things are a little pricey but overall the quality is better than the other stores in the vicinity. They have the best produce in town. They have many items not available any where else, close by.

A real friendly place with fresh produce, and healthy options. We even found the illusive, Beyond Burger, that was sold out at Whole Foods and Wegmans.
