The are a good company but just a word of advice to check your tools before you rent them. We got a damaged chainsaw and wasn't able to take it back right away, but when we took it back the next day they gave us a full refund and told us they usually only do it within a few hours after renting. But because the chain was so badly beaten I guess they felt obliged.

Very nice visit. Bought some carriage bolts, paint, local honey and pine mulch. Tbey have so many healthy looking plants and the people working there are so great at helping you find whatever it is you need. Love the variety of plants. Gotta watch my wife, she will buy all the plants they have there. Lol keep up the great work.

About a year ago, I planned to never go back. I had stopped, gotten out of the car and started to go in. There were a couple or three teenage staffers outside. The way they silently looked at me, like they were the pope kids at a prom, and I was the dumpy poor girl,.. never said a word or greeting,, and looked downright disgusted that I had the audacity to patronize the store... I just got back in my car and left.The last time, though, a man was very helpful and friendly while I was looking for specific yard tools. The cashier was no no sense and not personable, but dude made it a better experience.

Stopped in looking for 1 thing and left with a few things. A very nice store with a great selection. Anything from grilling stuff to a rental center where you can rent tools for your home projects.

Cant go in looking for a deal on something. Entirely too many employees following you around. I guess making sure you dont lift something like your some kinda criminal. But sometimes you gotta bite the bullet and still shop there. Feel very uncomfortable when shopping there.

Wonderful hardware store. The staff are incredible and friendly. They are knowledgeable about the products and very attentive. The store is always clean and well stocked.

I aways go here instead of the local big box store. Staff always meets me at the door asking if I need help. On this stop the owner even helped me. I had two pieces of chain cut and keys made. I was in and out within 15 minutes.

I wanted to rent a trencher for use on Easter Sunday. Since they are not open on Easter (I totally agree with), I asked if I could pick it up late Saturday and return it first thing on Monday. Of course they said yes, as long as I paid for 2 days of rental!When asked the manager to work with me on the 2 day rental, he said that he had been burned before and would not change the 2 day rental. I went to Lynchburg and they offered a 1 day rental for the same time.Guess I know where I will shop for future needs!

We do a lot of business in Appomattox and I stopped in to get a wire wheel attachment. The guy that was with me my employee was walking around the store looking at what they had because he had never been there before. He was followed by two employees of true Value. They then started following me. This was the most embarrassing thing ever. I can promise you that me or this company that has five trucks on the road will never do business with true value in Appomattox again.
