Dr. Lee has shown professionalism and concern for our dogs whenever we have had a need for veterinary services. She helped us through having to put our 17 year old miniature schnauzer down with kindness and compassion. She takes time and thoroughness with our dogs and we are quite pleased with the services she offers.

My pup needed a physical to finish his certification as a therapy dog and my previous vet had merged into a new practice and I could not get an appointment for several weeks. Our trainer recommended Laurel Stone and I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly. The visit went smoothly and they were able to address all my questions and concerns.

I liked that the staff was really concerned about my pups . Dr. Lee was extremely thorough and concerned . She listened to my concerns and addressed my questions. I do really like it there. They take good care of all my animals. Their app is great to make appointments.

The two new vet's, Dr. Laurie and Dr. Gola are great, caring, talented vets. As a many decades consumer of vet services, I know how to tell good from bad in vet services and these women know their stuff. The staff, Amy as office manager, Julie, Jessica & Rachael from the previous practice and tech Mary, Emily and others as the added staff are fun, knowledgeable, caring and efficient. Still the best vet practice in Amherst.

I have been a regular at Amherst Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years, I was experiencing long wait times for appointments last year and decided to try out Laurel Stone. I took my beagle in for a few appointments and eventually a dental. I was shocked when I picked him up and he had ALL HIS TEETH PULLED but one. They never called me to ask permission those psychopaths just pulled all but one of my dogs teeth out. I admit he hadn’t had a dental in 4 years and had bad tartar and reoccurring gum disease to remedy this my other vet would put him on antibiotics every 6 months. He is older with thyroid disease so isn’t very active and since I adopted him 8 years ago has never played with toys. Other than being Petted his joy in life was to chew. He would get in chew wars with his pug brother and this is how they (2 older dogs with arthritis) spent the evenings. He will never be able to chew a bone again. I decided to write this months later as I cry watching him attempt to chew a bone he took from the pug. I used to laugh every evening as they would steal each others bones back and forth now I cry as I have to shut my pug in a separate room to give him a bone while my beagle runs towards me for his.. He still doesn’t understand he can’t chew, when he gets a hold of a bone he’ll make his gums bleed trying to gnaw on it. He looks at my pug longingly and will still bark for his bone if there in the same room it’s extremely upsetting. The fact that they would remove every tooth with out my permission is CRIMINAL. I would understand a few but what they did was devastating for him. I won’t go into to details the horrors of his mouth and the month it took to heal but I strongly regret the day I took my pets here and wish I could take it back. I will tell any one that asks never go here. I will NEVER RETURN. By the way Dr. Hope from Amherst Veterinary Hospital is brilliant and I’ve never had any issues I just wish I had never strayed.

The staff here is amazing! I met them in an emergency situation when they were completely booked out and couldn't take on a new patient for several months. When they heard my dog had a bad ear infection the worked him and my cat in did full exams and treated the ear and made sure all the shots were current. They gave me a free sample of flea and tick meds for my dog and even waved the emergency fee for us! I highly recommend this office for thier great friendly and well knowledgeable staff!!

I've been using Laurel Stone for about 7 years now. Reception is friendly and vets are knowledgeable about all the weird things my dogs experience. Dr. Liggon is amazing and saved my Great Pyrenees' life a few years ago when she had to remove one of her femur bones. I also like that the staff doesn't try to push random things on me for me dogs.

I can't think of anything to improve our experience at Laurel Stone.They accepted Ted on an emergency basis and took him into the clinic immediately upon arrival.They assessed his condition and informed me fully of the problem, possible outcome and what could be done to help him.With my approval, they quickly attended to his medical needs.The procedures performed were fully explained.Instructions for after care were also detailed as was the administration of medications prescribed.I am 100% satisfied with the care they provided.I felt like they cared as much for Ted as I do.I cannot thank them enough.

I ADORED my experience at Laurel Stone Veterinary Hospital! I’d taken my dog to another vet prior to coming here and they rushed us through quickly not answering questions we had or talking us through what they were doing. I saw a difference immediately walking through the doors at Laurel Stone where staff greeted me and knew exactly why I was there. We were taken back, had a small wait but our exam was thorough, well explained and personal. They examined my dog while she laid in my lap instead of forcing her out of her comfort zone onto a table. After the appointment they handed us all the necessary meds we needed and a calendar of when to give them. Overall I am so pleased by my experience and would recommend them to anyone I meet.

Our Boston Terrier was seen by Dr. Golla one day after our first call. She and the rest of the staff were very understanding and thorough in their questioning , exam and suggestions. MOST impressive was Dr. Ligon's call back at 5:45 p.m. on a Friday evening to tell us our dog's test results and make a further suggestion. She also promised to touch base with us on Monday to see how he was doing. We have used many vets over the years and this was our first time at Laurel Stone. We like ALL of the above!

I had a very difficult situation with one of our cats. I sought out advice for a second opinion at Laurel Stone - Dr. Shella Baker specifically. The entire staff that was involved in our case were undoubtedly the most proficient, caring people who were all working with us to provide answers to an unknown situation. After medical intervention and evaluations, the likely cause was identified. Dr. Baker spend time reviewing information and even on her days off, called to check on our cat and us as well. The staff always communicated our information and updates when we called and passed them to Dr. Baker. We could not have asked for more help and kindness during this emotionally difficult time for all of us, especially our fur baby. We made the best choice in contacting Laurel Stone and their staff went above and beyond on a very difficult case. Thank you all for such commitment to our baby and to us. Pam & Tom Nowell
