I was driving from Richmond to Winston-Salem. This store appeared off to my left. I turned HARD and got over there. It was a Food Lion. I bought two wraps, 52 ounces of limeade, and some kind of spicy trail mix. Great store! I ate/drank all of those things while driving a rented Chevy Malibu through Southside Virginia. I had a pretty good system of rotating between the rather bland wraps, the spicy trail mix, and the BRACING limeade. Long story, short: I drank 52 ounces of limeade in about ninety minutes. Thank you, Food Lion.

Bought 2 of the 25 dollar huge pork tenderloins, put it in the fridge to slice up the next day into pork chops. Meat was rotten. Smelled like a batch of rotten eggs. Both packages, $50+ dollars down the drain.

Nice employees, clean store. Probably the nicest Food Lion I've been in. The employees were quick to pull the stock during a power outage and were beginning to replenish the shelves when I took these pictures. While I couldn't purchase what I needed at the time, I was thankful that they had saved the perishable inventory... I could finish my shopping later rather than waiting for their next delivery.

This is the first time I have been to this Food Lion in Amelia. I was thoroughly impressed with the store, and employees. I love the idea that the produce was set aside in their own little separate section. This was awesome and the produce looked fresh and inviting.

I live in Amelia and have started avoided going here and driving an extra 30 minutes away to another grocery store. They don't have the variety as other food lion's. Alot of their produce is not good. Old apples. Mandarins that are dry and shriveled on the inside. Bagged lettuces always brown. Jalapenos shriveled and old. The list goes on. Its just annoying. Their wet bar is DISGUSTING. FULL OF GRIME AND GUNK. I It's obvious they don't clean it often. Been way too many times I've bought meats that were bad even though they weren't expired. Slimy pork. Rank beef stew meat. Sour smelling chicken. Recently bought a dairy product that was 3 months expired and didn't notice it until the following day. I could go on and on. I got sick and tired of wasting my money. Hopefully someone who cares will read this review and make a change to this place. They've lost our business. We only stop here now if it's a item or two we need to grab mid week that isn't something we will have to worry about, like some water or two liters of cola. But we no longer do our regular weekend grocery shopping here. This review is in no way fake either. This place needs to get it together for real.

I have to give them props because I had a work emergency come up and had to run medical supplies to a hospital 3 hours away and there was no way I could get my order and called to tell them this.I was told my order would be safe and to be safe myself, I went to see if I could pick the order up today and I had zero problems at all. This Food Lion staff are so delightful I never have any issues with them and the weekend staff love to tease me because I will come and they know I am mostly there for the ice cream.Highly recommend

Front line is great. Stockers are great. Why is the Produce looking bad all the time? I stop coming here. Also food on shelves out of date,or about to be.

Store is pretty well stocked usually. A little overpriced, but that's to be expected when it's one of the few places we have to shop without traveling outside of the county. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Love Food Lion! I had not shopped Food Lion in the past, as our local store was always so dirty and greatly under-staffed. When we moved to Amelia Co, it was such a nice surprise to shop in this store. It is clean and staff is very pleasant and helpful.

Very good. Pleased with staff, friendly! Prices are higher the Kroger, Publix and Walmart. The company has high-end prices because there is no competition. This store is pretty much flawless except for the deli. The staff can be a bit short with customers, but sometimes it looks like they could probably use another person over there because they are very busy. Other than that it's five starts all the way. The place is spotless and the management cares that the place is run properly. Never any issues with returns when problems DO arise. Well-rounded selection and efficient layout for a smaller store.

It used to be a decent store. Now the food especially the meats and produce can be bad on any given day. The shelves are understocked and some merchandise is outdated. For the second time in two weeks I have had a spoiled piece of meat purchased from this location. The first time I threw it away knowing that things happen but the second time I tried to return it. Pabby?refused to give her name and refused ro acknowledge their policy about returned merchandise. Stephanie who is supposed to be more aware of procedures was trying to give excuses why she shouldn't give her name when Pabby was clearly wearing an illegible name tag. People this is not your"friendly neighborhood Foodlion" if you have to go thru this when you want fresh and friendly.

Most of their Associates are extremely rude and don't help you at all. You get an attitude for asking where something is. I even overheard some girl cashier there saying curse words and racial slurs.

I love to purchase my breads, fruits, vegetables (fresh and frozen), and certain meats at my local Food Lion supermarket. I cannot state enough about the savings you can get using your MVP card, scanning your card at the kiosk, and getting discounts by using Shop and Earn. Use your MVP card and SAVE!!

This store is always clean and the staff are very helpful. It is well stocked. I enjoy shopping here. They have handicapped parking and curbside pickup if you need it.

Pretty awesome people, management included surprisingly. At least from what I've seen as a customer, that is. Who knows, they may hide their sacrificial altars in the employee only zones. Will update when I've snuck into the back room. If I don't update, send reinforcements.

This location is ok. Staff seem to be friendly. Their produce section could use some help and be better stoocked on fruits and vegetables. This location is the same distance from my house as the Farmville location and I would rather go to the Farmville loction. The Farmville location is bigger and has more of a variety of items to choose from. Farmville location has a better deli and produce section as well a wine, and beer selection. The Amelia location needs some updating. The store always seems to be clean. Bathrooms are clean also. The parking lot could use resurfacing and painting.

I only shop at food lion. It's not too big and it has everything I need and more. Prices are reasonable, you have a MVP card, they give rewards, and ad match... You can't beat it!

Only real grocery store for 30 min in any direction, but pretty good. Not much in the way of "unusual" or ethnic things, but good for standard stuff. They renovated semi recently and have a produce room.

This is a small town grocery store. You'll always see someone you know. Typical FL usually well stocked but some items can lack during Rona. Not usually a terrible wait.
