Had everything I needed. Clean store. Friendly and helpful staff. Some things were actually cheaper than food lion or Walmart. Including the beer! Maybe some background music would be nice. It's eerie quiet.

We love dollar general! The girls in there are always so nice and helpful! Also the guy working in there always is nice. We literally go there everyday. Its so convenient and close to our house! The people are awesome

Good place to get pretty much anything you might need in a pinch and you can't beat the prices. Staff is very friendly except for one of the older ladies. But overall a great spot for anything from a cake to a plunger

This place is not too good. The staff really doesn't care about anything (typical) and the building is old and falling apart. There are floor tiles missing, too many things in the way, and the whole building is falling apart. The building is not presentable and with all of the junk and old material sitting outside makes it worse. Parking lot is pothole filled. This building needs to be wiped in the inside and completely renovated moving the shelves in 2015-2016 didn't help. The lines are slow and the tech is dirty. Something is usually wrong with the register most of the time. The building should be torn down, better staffed, renovated, along with a cleaner lot.

I realized after dropping almost $300 at the Dollar General in Amelia, that almost everything they have in stock, I can get at Walmart, for less. The Dollar General is no longer very "dollar-y". They're actually a little more expensive than a lot of places. You're better off going to Walmart or The Dollar Tree. I won't be going back.

I always go here to get household essentials like shampoo, contact solution , paper towels , kitchen sponges, etc. They always cost way less than buying the same things at food lion. Some things are priced the same like hanes underwear for example lol. So if you need to pick your toddler up some emergency undies dont expect much of a break on those...but that's to be expected for items like that. I even buy medicines from here. Much cheaper. And their dollar general brand ones are the same ingredients as the name brands . Check the backs of medicines for once! It will save you big time! Otherwise ...things may be a bit crowded...but who cares? If I can save money, I'll deal with it. And long lines tend to be more in the afternoon or evening. I always go first thing in the morning. In and out in no time.

I don't know why. But I love dollar general. I dont really shop for food here. But you can otherwise pick up alot of odds and inns and simple household things for cheaper than the regular supermarket.

Most the staff is super nice, customers are sometimes a little rude. They added new lighting and security bar things so the store seems a little more put together now.

This Dollar General has come along was. The staff is friendly now and courteous about customers wait time. It's still a little crowded so it's difficult to find what you are looking for sometimes.

If you check the sale ad and digital coupons every week you can get some great savings. The problem is sometimes they run out of items that are on sale. But for the most part I save a lot if money.

This store is a joke if you wanna Stand in line for an hour and a half while 80-year-olds communicate with the managers there that moves slow as a turtle then this is the store for you
