I adopted our cat from the Amelia Animal Shelter. The staff was accommodating, kind and considerate in every aspect of the adoption. We got the perfect cat for our family. I would highly recommend adopting a pet from theshelter.

By far the worst public officers in the county. How can you be closed to the public being publicly funded? But hey that's beside the point. I have tried to call on numerous occasions and have yet to have my phone call returned. I guess it's time to get a little more serious and put their feet to the fire to actually do the job that the tax payers are paying for.

When our dog went missing we went to the shelter and did not see her. The family kept checking several different Animal Shelter websites. A few weeks later we saw our dogs picture. She is now back at home, playing with her toys, running with the children, teasing the cat, and chewing on her bones. The family is extremely happy to have her back home. Thank you, Amelia County Animal Shelter.

I adopted a kitten from these folks and have tried to contact them to obtain info.. They are absolutely impossible to contact, never once answering their phone and never return my many, many vm msg's..
