Elba Butcher Shoppe is excellent in many ways. Their meat is always fresh and very tasty. I always go there to get my meat because I like the fact that it's cut fresh there every day. They also have the most friendly people that work there. It's just all around a great place to shop!!!!

I absolutely love this shoppe! The meat and produce are always fresh and the prices are standard for the products. I bought a Walmart steak since Elba was fresh out, and yikes! Elba definitely delivers when it comes to quality of their meats. I don't buy my cuts from anywhere else now!

Spectacular market ground, competitive prices on good quality cuts of protein, local flours, honeys and produce, my go-to for Buckwheat Honey, which smells like a barn, heck, a whole farm, but it is Crazy Delicious in a funky, good to and for you kind of way, like the Stinky Cheese of Honeys, a must try item, great on bagels with cream cheese or as an addition to recipes, sauces and marinades. The darker the honey, the more beneficial and also the more antioxidants, this honey is the color of molasses! The associates are friendly and amorous from my experiences. The manager Jamie is A++!

They have a wider array of product s . The appearance and cleanliness of the establishment is a long awaited and much appreciated makeover. Thumbs up to the Owners and the Friendly , helpful and customer oriented Employee's. I am disabled and every time I have been in getting groceries they have helped me put my items in my truck without me having to ask them. Thank you and God bless you all.Ray

There is nothing better than a small-town non-chain grocery store. The super friendly staff know their customers by name, and the personal service and attention are unparalleled. The meat department is excellent, and the prices can't be beaten.

greatest place ever for fresh meats at a great price! Not very accessible for people in wheelchairs though. I wish they would also put their sales item on this website so that those who cannot get out can sere their specials, so they can have family or friends shop there for them.

They had a good variety of foods, and I found something I haven't seen in years: pickled peaches! I enjoyed looking around here and prices were pretty reasonable.

I have shopped there for years when it was Vista food. Now I shop there at elba's, which it has switched hands, but I think the same people work there that did before. And those employees are just as nice as they could be the ladies and the guys. So yes I would shop there again and again and I would shoot so yes I would shop there again and I would recommend anyone go in there also

Glad they came to Altavista. Best meats around. Well was until the meats were sliced thin and more fat added. I drive 45 mins to Kroger now unless I need a good deal

Always live your mom and pops places. Always fresh meats and some fish/sea food, they can always order stuff like that. Also nice to have other little side items to go with whatever you're making.

I was so happy with my purchase of meats there ,I spent$100,I have excellent amount of food for my money,everything was fresh, employee were pleasant. I will tell my friend and family about this shop,I wish this business would consider coming to Lynchburg or Madison heights to open a butcher shop, it would be great,

Overpriced BAD quality food. My "fresh" veggies had white worms, chips were opened, doughnuts were stale and meat looks days old. You're better off making the extra drive to Walmart.
