I’ve been coming to Dairy Freeze since I was a child and over the past thirty a lot has changed but the food here has remained consistently good. I make it a point to stop by every time I pass through Altavista.The menu is typical diner-style: burgers, hotdogs, fries and ice cream so the menu is pretty simple but the flavors are top notch. For example today’s burger had some of the freshest tomatoes I’ve ever had in takeout

Main reason low stars.. cheeseburger and amount of flies.inside and out..the money we spend is ridiculous for cold buns.2 cheeseburger combos 19 bucks...hmm.the crinkle fries were hot but half of mine were color of rust from rot or bugs or over cooked in batch...we wanted burgers all the way with chili...well they look like sausage patties with spit full of chili and buns not appetizing...to many flies there in windows ans u have to bend down to talk to staff.we can't hear them and they can't hear us...made for little people...hot fudge sundae helped rating...they have wet walnuts dairy Queen don't carry anymore...thks for that ...we were going to Hardee's or McDonald's but decided this place something new but wishes we just spent the same money and got money's worth elsewhere...

Local drive Inn. Hot dogs and hamburgers ,chicken sandwiches, fries and more!! Tons of ice cream options, Sunday's, banana splits , waffles comes and the ever popular Collider ( their version of a DQ blizzard). I always get the oreo collider. So yummy! Perfect for the whole family!! Lunch and dinner only.

Food is still amazing but the service is terrible. The young girls are so freaking rude. They have an attitude every time we come here. I've been coming here for over 7 years now, and it's sad to see that the service is gotten so bad.Parking: All around the building.Kid-friendliness: It's hotdogs and singer foods. Kinda love that.Wheelchair accessibility: It's accessible to an extent. No taste for wheelchair people.

A great place for consistent service, quality food and an 'old timey' feel, like someone in roller skates and a poodle skirt will take your order any minute. This business has been around for decades, a cornerstone of outdoor and pull in eating with a soft serve window, serving a delicious array of creamy treats. Definitely worth drop by and you can have your meal in the seating area with a full view of Main street, the main vein of Altavista! See you there!

I went here yesterday and will NEVER go back. I used to really enjoy this place but the service has really gone down hill. Took my family to grab some shakes and snacks. The girl who took my order seemed to be impatient and short with us. The onion rings were overcooked the fries were undercooked. The shakes were all different consistencies. Then they put all 4 of our shakes IN A BAG. The bag tore when they handed it to me and almost spilled them. Then when remove them from the bag to give to my family one of them didn't have the lid on securely and it spilled. THIS HAPPENED IN FRONT OF PICKIP WINDOW AND NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT.

The young lady who took the order was so sweet and customer-oriented. My child dropped the ice cream cone and she offered a new one. Friendly face even with multiple orders and requests for spoons, while also serving several customers at once.

Perfect family friendly atmosphere! All seating is outside, as well as parking spaces for folks to sit and eat in their cars. Service is fairly fast and the food is delicious. Go on a nice pretty day and enjoy an upside down banana split.
