I am getting a call to my cell on a daily basis about a prescription for "Shirley" when I call the store they just say call the 1-800 number. It's not me or corp that has put this number in the system wrong, it's a Altavista employee. So a couple weeks have gone by and Shirley is still waiting on her meds. They don't even try to fix it themselves, they could call the 1-800 number and fix it. BAD customer service!

Worst CVS ever. Never been able to get a prescription filled the same day and when they are finally ready you can't get waited on to pickup. One customer in drive thru, one at counter inside and it still took them 38 minutes to wait on me. Don't know what they were all doing but no one was waiting on customers, just saying be right there. Half the time I go here the pharmacy part of the store is closed saying no pharmacist available. SMH. CVS does this in small towns with little competition.

They are never open, they never have staff and have poor attitudes. You need a prescription for an illness right away but can’t ever get them until days later because it’s closed EVERY single time we go!!! Prescriptions are constantly lost when faxed to them and the dr will have to send it 3-5 times before they actually get it. I’ve never dealt with a cvs ran so poorly as this one.

Very rude. I had many mix ups where they told me my prescription was ready and in reality they never even had it. Had to wait days; very unprofessional. Everyone I know who has used this pharmacy has had major problems. The staff acts like their negligence is your fault and they never answer their phone.

Got a prescription recently and paid out of pocket and was shorted two pills. Called back right away and the two pills were going to be held. Just went and they won’t provide the pills. They “took a picture” of the correct amount of pills when the order was filled and will not do anything about it. I do not recommend this or any other CVS.

We have been coming to this cvs for over a year now. Suddenly it takes them 2 weeks just to refill allergy medication that literally came from over the counter looks like. The crazy part, im debating if I should switch to a different place. For 2 weeks i came every other day and kelt being told the same thing over and over. Just beware.

Pharmacy is terrible! If you are in a hurry... you might as well drive to the Lynchburg one. If you put in an order a week ahead... it still will not be ready! Staff in the store are rude, not to mention the store being in poor shape. I would like to rate it less than one star!

IF you can ever catch them open to get your meds, be prepared to wait DAYS to actually get them (and, they'll probably be closed when they're finally ready according to the automated phone call.) We've been waiting almost a week to pick of medication. Called one morning and the automated answering service said prescriptions were processing at 9:00, drove from Gretna at 4:00 only to be told they were STILL processing and would be another hour. Came back the next day to pick them up because I received a notice that they were ready, only for CVS pharmacy to be closed AGAIN (3rd time this week, twice when i tired to pick up my son's medicine) because the pharmacist called out of work. This place needs some serious help. My husband is in pain, had meds called over from the ER & orthopedic almost a week ago and we STILL can't get pur hands on them.

Pharmacy is joke need to look into personal. Tell you scripts ready get there it's not. Cause confusion with doctors with prescriptions.i spent 5 days without medication. Worst was Parkinson meds. Messed so bad had to go to insurance company to get things straight. Not a bit of help from them. Everyday was excuses be ready tomorrow. Wasn't. And to beat all were closed day after memorial day. Personal problems next day say same people. Wonder why people didn't need meds. Come on.i need mine every day.

This is the worst CVS pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Every time I call in a prescription through the automated service, it's never filled. I have to wait in line for at least 30 minutes every time, even after I've received confirmation that my prescription is ready for pickup. EVERY TIME I call I have to wait for at least 15 minutes for someone to pick up the phone. Today, I called four times, waited for someone to pick up, when they finally did, they HUNG UP on me!!! I'm taking my business else where. Never again will I use CVS pharmacy!!!! They deserve ZERO stars, but I had to rate at least one to be able to post this review. By the way, this it the first review I've ever posted on any service...this is how bad I despise their customer service!

I have changed my review from one star to 3 stars.I was finally able to get my mothers prescription filled at the last minute. I did not know enough to ask CVS for an emergency prescription fill and the lady at the drive through did not offer any solutions. Im not giving them any more than 3. Mother has her meds and I am now a little wiser as to what I should do in this situation.

They need to close all CVS stores down The one in Brookneal va and AltaVista va is terrible. The one in South Boston Virginia is fairly decent

Called to confirm a new rx on hold for 41:34 minutes. When I arrived at cvs the lady told me she did not have time to answer the phone only two people in front of me and one waiting. I asked how long before I could get the new blood pressure medicine she said I have at least 30 more in front of you. Very rude. Three people working.and two filling prescriptions. This is not the first time it has happened. Not sure what is going on with them but they need to get it together.

Hands down the worst CVS I have ever dealt with. Several times I get texts saying meds are ready only to drive 20 min and be told it isn't ready. Today I was told a prescription would be ready in thirty minutes, waited the thirty then in line for twenty minutes only to be told it would be another forty minutes. Last time I will ever come here. Ridiculous.

CVS is the worse ! Said my prescription would be ready in a hour .. I come back in a hour and they say it’s going to be one more hour! So i wait another hour .. go back and they say another 15/20 minutes ! I should have gotten my prescription sent to another pharmacy! This is ridiculous! Idc if they are short staff.. not my problem !

A beautiful young lady named Jennifer is the sweetest most helpful person at CVS and she did a really kind act for me. She was at the drive thru, and she is a blessing to CVS, she needs to be a manager. Best customer service skills I've seen, and her smile is beautiful! Very good person! She deserves a raise for representing CVS so well, she has changed my perspective on CVS. She deserves recognition for her great service!

Our local CVS continues to fill prescriptions without me asking for them. I’ve made sure that NONE of my prescriptions are on auto-refill. I got one of my prescriptions filled 05/26/19. They filled it again the next week and sent me a text. I called them YESTERDAY and told them I didn’t need it because I JUST got it filled. I went to the app and archived it so it wouldn’t be filled until I asked for it. I got another text TODAY! They had filled that prescription AGAIN!!!! If I didn’t have to get my prescriptions at CVS because of my insurance, I wouldn’t!

Hard to get anyone on the phone to talk to in pharmacy. I usually call the toll free number to talk to someone that can help me. Pharmacy actully put my meds back in the shelf before the time was up up! Once again, I toll free number and they had to fix it again!

Giving one star bc I can’t give 0, worst customer service I’ve ever seen, every employee I’ve dealt with minus one from Altavista cvs are rude and just treat you with no respect, really really hate having to go to this pharmacy I dread having a two week prescription bc that means I have to go two times in a month instead of one, it’s always a problem and I have no idea why the phone in even asks what time u want to pick up because I’ve never went and my Rx was rdy it’s always15-40 mins here on anything, the lines go slow and the employees are just plain rude to customers. If the other small town pharmacy had my prescription I would never use this pharmacy for any reason at all.

I gave them a disposable camera and never got it back. After waiting almost two weeks, I decided to go by the store to see if it had maybe come in and they just didn't call. The woman I asked was incredibly rude. Its been several weeks and still nothing. Really disappointed with the horrible service, definitely will be taking my cameras to another location in the future.
