An employee named Ryan refused my wife service. When asked why she was told the manager gave him permission to refuse service to her specifically. The following day we reached out and asked and we're told that she did NOT give permission for him to refuse service to her but that he did still have the right to refuse service to customers who were actually a problem. My wife walked into the building grabbed an energy drink and walked up to the counter no words were said until Ryan ( the employee) said he was refusing service. Ryan was a former roommate in our home who has a personal vengeance against us for removing him from our house and phone plan when he wouldn't respect our rules. He has been actively trying to make our lives difficult for the past few months. Including calling CPS. We feel this was a personal act and that this was not a refusal for service but rather a power trip and just another thing he felt he should do to make our lives more difficult. Note: normally we would go to another employee however he was the only employee there and my wife only went to the store because it is the closest to our house and she had been up since 3 am this event happened at 6 pm on a sunday. Needless to say she didn't want to go there but the extra cost of the product and shorter drive were equal to the cost of gas driving all the way to Walmart. Corporate office has been informed but it seems nothing will be happening to the employee who has repeatedly been attacking our family. If you read this far thank you.Added note: months later we were informed he was repremanded, and told not to repeat the action or he would be terminated. Neither me, nor my wife have run into him since the incident. However we are aware he still works there.

Apple Market also known as Gateway Minute Market is my #1 pick for convenience stores in Altavista. The store is always very clean and well organized. Management and Employees are all very kind, they offer exceptional customer service. The fas rewards program is helpful when it comes to saving a few dollars. You can save on gas, drinks, food, tobacco and alcohol products. Also, they offer non-ethanol gas, which is big plus.

I go there sometimes to get non-ethanol gas for my small engines, the people are usually very friendly. Not happy about having to go inside and pre-pay for a gallon of gas though.

I went to this store because the getupside app had a promotion. The gas pumps are always out of receipt paper so using the getupside app is useless as the receipt given in the store gets rejected by the app because it does not show the card number used to pay at the pump. The Apple Market in Hurt was the same way last week. I inquired with the young man at the register and he said he can never find the key for the pump, but other people can, he just can't find the key to replace the paper in the pump.
