Bella groomed my two girls and they both turned out fantastic. Bella did an amazing job. My dogs love her. Bella is friendly, attentive, and takes pride in her work. I included a before and after pic to show the difference in my dogs.I am always greeted on the phone and upon my arrival by the most courteous and friendly receptionists. Everyone in the shop has been great. JW.

Absolutely love this grooming shop! I bring my dog here for grooming and he couldn’t be more excited once we get into the parking lot. The employees here take so much care of him and always make him look so adorable. I can tell the groomers are very passionate about their job, and it 100% reflects in their work! Such a good place for your pups!

After the experience we encountered today it is painful to even give one star. My family has been using Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming (6462 Landsdowne Center Dr, Alexandria, VA 22315) since opening years ago. We have a new dog who is a ten month old German Shepard. Our dog has always been apprehensive regarding nail trimmings, so we are very understanding when the groomers cannot always cut his nails or get them to a certain length. Today was the last time we will ever visit Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming. The woman at the front desk (Jennifer) lacks an ounce of customer service. When we arrived we were not greeted, instead we were met with a disgusting attitude from Jennifer. Jennifer said “take your dog to the gate” and then proceeded to snatch the leash and toss it over the gate while holding our dog by the collar. I then reiterated what we scheduled to have done to which she rudely said “yep it's on file, bye we will call you.”About an hour later she calls and says that our dog is ready and hangs up before we can even respond on the phone. When we arrive she begins yelling at us that our dog was awful and is not welcome back. I will be the first to say that we have an energetic and excited puppy, however he has had wonderful experiences with both vet and Woof Gang previously. Moreover, she continues to say that our dog was “awful” and that the entire staff was “at war” with him the entire time. We then asked to see our dog in order to cease the way she was speaking to us she then goes behind the gate and slams the door shut. About two minutes later she sticks her hand out from behind the door holding our leash and says “come get your dog” and then THROWS the leash to us. We get our dog all settled to then begin to be berated at the front counter again. She continues on in the disrespectful and childish tone that our dog physically bit the groomer. She of course continues on to say that he is not welcome back and no one can work on him. After stepping outside and feeling very blindsided by these accusations we decided that we would like to speak with the groomer who our dog allegedly bit and attacked. Once we came back and requested to speak with the groomer (who happens to be the owner) we were shocked to hear a completely different version of events. The groomer/owner explained that our puppy was perfect up until the nail cutting. He explained that our dog simply did not want the grinder anywhere near him and was acting fearful and attempting to move away from the grinder. When we asked where he was bit he said “oh no I was never bit or hurt at all.” He could sense our confusion and frustration and proceeded to say that there was no attack or attempt to harm anyone by our dog. He was very apologetic that there was a miscommunication on behalf of the front desk worker. After thanking him and leaving Jennifer did not so much as look at either of us. Once we arrived home we decided to cancel our account and remove our credit card from their system. I called Wolf Gang and explained that we would not be returning following today's events to which Jennifer responds “perfect, that’s great” and hangs up. Our dog does not want to be pet or played with and is displaying very anxious tendencies. It is a shame that due to Jennifer and her lack of customer service Wolf Gang will continue to lose customers (as indicated in the majority of the yelp and google reviews that mention her by name). I hope for the sake of the business that changes are made soon. Please let this be a warning to not bring your pets here.

VERY disappointed with the last grooming. I have used this location for the past year for my miniature poodle. While they have never done a “great job”, it was sufficient. I have always had issues with the proper trimming of his face-to do the teddy bear cut-they seem to not understand or know how to do this cut.I recently adopted two medium poodle puppies and brought all three (per my appointment) this past Sunday, I was informed they were switching my groomer as the prior never was able to correctly groom the face of my poodle, to a groomer who owns poodles herself. Upon arrival, the groomer came out and was very upset to have three dogs to groom. This was shown by her attitude and facial expressions as she stood at the computer with the clerk loudly discussing her angst of having three poodles this afternoon. She then proceeded to walk across and meet the dogs and review what we wanted. She thoroughly checked the dogs (as we have been having a crazy up charge for no reasons) making sure none had mats etc. 5 hours later, she was still behind, and I would assume overwhelmed with the day. It was okay, we werent in a rush. However, at 5:20pm I received a call stating they decided to go a little shorter on my male (mini-poodle only 10 pounds). When I arrived he was shaved bald! We said “take a little off” not shave and certainly not shave him bald! Why we as this done./ Because the groomer didnt want to spend the time combing him and fluffing his hair-so her answer was to shave him! I received a $300 Plus bill-with additional charges for “teddy bear cut” which is absurd-especially when they shaved the one, bald! They also shaved all three of their rears-causing razor burn to their rear areas-the three dogs have been in discomfort for days.Take my warning- DO NOT USE THIS GROOMERThey OVERCHARGE and DO NOT DO A decent job-When I called in I was told the owner would call me back. This is the 3rd time over 6 months I have requested to speak to the owner in regards to the groomers issues. Needless to say, NEVER a. Return call.

For my TL;DR people: Jennifer's customer service is only a step below what the wives of Henry VIII received towards the end. It was abysmal. For Everyone Else: Beyond that morbid comparison of horrendous customer service rendered, the pricing, and general lack of regard for customer's time was made perfectly clear today. My wife scheduled an appointment a week ago, when she brought our goldendoodle in at 1PM, they said he would be ready in two to three hours. My wife had to follow up on our dog's status at 3:30pm and were told our boy would be ready at 5PM. When we arrived to collect him and we were met with immediate attitude from Jennifer; only to be told that our dog needed another 30 minutes. Those 30 minutes turned into 45. We were informed that there was a difficult dog earlier that required ours to be bumped and led to ours not being ready until nearly 6pm (Closing). We calmly expressed our irritations with the lack of customer service towards the lack of communication from the front of the store with Jennifer, who merely stared at us with an annoyed attitude and had nothing to say.To add insult to injury at checkout, Jennifer audibly told the groomer , who came to apologize for the wait, not to discount us for the inconvenience and charge us $150. For reference most grooming can cost between $110-$150. Now I understand that the criteria to be charged the maximum amount varies depending upon 1) Weight of the animal, 2) Length and condition of their coat, and 3) any specialized styling to the grooming. But our doodle's cut did not match the requested style and Jennifer could not articulate the 3 criteria that would warrant the max price. In short, if Jennifer is still working at Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming after 3/20/24, avoid her like we all avoided one another during Covid, because that woman is a plague on an otherwise good business.

I called and was given a grooming appointment for my goldendoodle the next day. Everyone at the store was friendly. We gave the receptionist a pic of the desired cut. My puppy is 5 months and this was her first hair cut. I am very pleased with the way it turned out. My dog has never looked better. I will return for grooming here regularly.

Love the woof gang . My Seven loves the treats they have and toys. Also Jennifer has been a blessing to my Seven on helping me find the best chew toy . She should be a manager .

We’ve been going to Woof Gang for over a year now and they do an amazing job with our Shih Tzu. It’s very difficult to give a Shih Tzu a puppy cut and Joy nails it every time! It’s easy to get an appointment and the staff is very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Dear Woof Gang,The lady behind the desk was very professional. She asked me if I had any special needs for the dog especially with grooming or bathing. Since I had mentioned my dog was older. She assured me that your people will take very good care of her. I think her name is Jennifer. I was very pleased when my dog came out, she looked great also in a great mood. I'm definitely returning!

I've been taking my Yorkie, Luigi, to Woof Gang since he was a puppy. We always go with a full groom. Some of the recent reviews are a bit on the over critical/ unrealistic side. I bring my Luigi in about every 2 to 3 months for grooming. I only have to say good things about the experience over the last 6 years. The people at the front of the shop have always been helpful. They always ask what type of cut and how much to take off. Or they ask for a photo. They note the cut for each visit in case you forget for the next time. They even have a sample swatch for the length of hair if you're not sure. They are happy to take him back if we prefer a little more cutting. Sometimes they put Luigi in a kennel when there are larger dogs around. Luigi probably doesn't need to be in a kennel because he's very social, but I understand the reasoning. They sometimes they have a lot of dogs in the back. Dogs are dogs and they tend to play, scurry around or try to escape. I have only observed complete care when I have dropped off and picked up Luigi.

This place uses hidden fees that they cannot itemize when they give you the invoice for the groom. They use a very vague statement that additional charges can apply based on breed, coat length, if it requires de-matting, behavioral issues, etc. The starting price for a small dog (up to 15 lbs) is $75 (which is already expensive) and on top of that, they will charge you extra and will not give you a specific reason for the up charge. And of course, TIPS are expected. The person at the front desk was absolutely clueless on the specificity of my up charge of $10. She kept referring back to their vague disclosure, giving them a reason to up charge whatever they want without itemization when you pick up your dog. My bill just said $85 but no explanation for the $10 up-charge. The lady at the front desk showed rudeness by wanting to get rid of us instead of explaining the specific reason for the up-charge. I blame management for not properly training their employees on how to provide excellent customer service and resolving issues to where the customer will be willing to come back. Grooming is done behind closed doors so you have no way of knowing what is going on to your pup even if you wanted to stay and wait. Overall lack of transparency. For those reasons, I do not recommend this place and will not be brining back my dog back here. I recommend going to Pet Supplies Plus at Francornia. I guarantee you will have a much better experience.

I’ve taken my dog here 5 times since getting him and never has it been an issue until today. Upon pick up today I was told that 2 groomers had issues and that the 2 groomers have opted out from providing grooming services to my dog due to behavior issues. This is the first time it was brought to my attention that they had any type of issues grooming him. This is very disappointing and will never be bringing my dog to this establishment.

It was our dog's birthday today and we were looking for a delicious treat. They had a load of choices - we went with doggie ice cream, as well as a birthday hat! Staff was very nice and helpful.

We have had our Coton de Tulear groomed several times at Woof Gang. They do a good job honoring our request to keep him with a “puppy cut” and not shaving him down unless requested. We have had good luck with getting same-day or next-day appointments. It usually takes about two hours for a full grooming appointment. The shop does a good job communicating. They will text you a photo if there is any area of concern. They also text or call when the dog is ready for pickup. There is an attached shop with toys, treats and a variety of dog foods.

I called just to inquire about bringing my dog here for a first visit and to check if they had same day availability and you would think I cursed their mother. So rude and snarky. I definitely will not be patronizing this establishment.

The lady who helped me today obviously doesn’t like her job or dealing with people. As i browsed and shopped , she was on the phone with someone inquiring about prices. When she got off the phone she very vocal about how she felt her time was wasted by questions about pricing. Not very helpful with customer service on my end, when i come to the counter she tells me my items aren’t $5 worth so i can’t use a card before even checking. So i grab other treats get rung up and lo and behold the same treats she said weren’t $5 worth some how ended up being exactly $5 worth of treats. Lol. This lady needs a break or vacation or some sort to ease some of the Attitude or broom she has stuck….

Absolutely not! First for months they charged me the wrong price because they weighed my dog incorrectly. Secondly, they gave my dog a bad burn so his hair was falling out but I liked their work so I wanted to give another chance. Today was the last straw! I went to pick up my cavapoo and they decided to up charge me. When I asked why the price difference I was told it was because he was a cavapoo. We have been going there for almost a year if not a year already and NEVER experienced being charged for his breed. And mind you they already changed their prices last month and i was charged regular, today I was charged even more and the only explanation they could give without prior warning or anything was it’s because of his breed, the same breed he’s been his entire 4 years of life! Make it make sense!!! We will not be returning back!

Does not even deserve 1 star. Had worst customer service experience from Jennifer at front desk today on 3/23/23. Not only did she accuse me of providing wrong information about my pet who have already groomed there earlier, she was just argumentative about the whole deal. This is not how you treat clients. I hope the administrators see this and give some form of training to your employees as to how to treat clients courteously and respectfully and to not show their irritation and aggression. At the end she confirmed it was a problem with their system and still ended up humiliating me and had no remorse about it. She still ended up the conversation making me feel that it was all my fault. Never returning to goof gang bakery in Landsdowne center again if this is how Jennifer plans on doing her customer service.

Urine on the floors, dogs running through the store trying to get out the front door… this place is horrible. I tried to drop my dog off for a grooming appointment, and multiple dogs escaped from the grooming area. We told the workers multiple times, and no one did anything. They just ignored us (but did acknowledge us). I was holding the front door closed because a bigger white dog was pushing it open, and I had to pull her back into the shop. Another woman held the door and I went back to tell the workers again. The owner FINALLY stopped and came up front to take care of the dogs while a customer waited outside. I immediately cancelled my appointment and left. I would never leave my dog with a company that has so little disregard for animals. Absolutely disgusting. If you go here, make sure they don’t let your dog out the front door.

I really have not had too many issues bringing my dog here. He has been going for some time now. This last visit will be his last. Very rude and unprofessional receptionist (Jennifer) there she yelled and me and accused me of harassment because I asked her about the prices rising.Update to add: speaking to the manager was useless. When I walked in to speak to him, she said “that’s Quincey’s mom” so it’s clear they spoke about it making him biased. He was not helpful at all. He noted that the numbers were not updated and claimed that I have always paid the same price until he seen that it was more for this visit and asked me if I paid a tip and when I said no he as she’s sitting right next to him with a smirk on her face and didn’t say a thing about the extra money she charged without my approval. I guess their rude thieves. Nonetheless, I won’t be taking my Qu back there he returned with fleas once anyway and I overlooked that. But to add rudeness and prejudice/racism is another story.

I got my standard poodle puppy, Jack, groomed today and it was his very first professional grooming experience. I think I was more nervous than he was. I gave them a picture of what cut I wanted him to have, then they walked us through the different options for hair length, and things like that. I have had bad experiences with other dogs at Petsmart and Petco, so I was really nervous. I really needed him to have a good experience as well as a good hair cut. At only 6 months old it is really important that it go well. I was VERY happy with the end result. He was super excited when he got picked up, his hair was awesome and just what we wanted, and they gave us a break down of how everything went. Jack did well, he tap dances when they groom his feet, and he has a little ear infection that he is seeing the vet for tomorrow. The service was great, the dog was well treated and enjoyed the experience, and the feedback was super helpful in making sure I am about to care for his needs and work on any grooming training we need to do for the future. I believe we have found Jacks forever groomer!

Took a double coated breed to be groomed. They shaved the dog down to her skin, nicked her ears, and cracked her nails. Any groomer worth their salt knows that you NEVER shave a double coated dog. The outer coat consist of guard hair that protect them from the heat and sunburns. They do not cool through their skins, so this effectively increases risk of overheating and skin damage when you remove that protective layer of fur. The staff and manager were very rude and tried to claim they only follow instructions given by the customer. I guess trim and brushing equals shaving to this facility. Never mind the nail cracking and cuts. Will never return, dog owners beware.

TAKE YOUR DOG AT YOUR OWN RISK.. OUR DIED TODAY WHILE LOCKED IN WITH THE NAIL TRIMMERS. We had a 2:30 appointment for our dog's wash and nail trim. My husband took our Frenchie there on time. Lenny was taken away from him for 90!!!! minutes... When he went to pick him up, his nails were still not trimmed... Then, they closed the door and, next thing my husband learned - our Lenny died!!!! He tried CPR but it was late... the workers could have called in sooner.. And, we suspect suffocation... He was a healthy 11 year old French bulldog... Still running up and down the stairs. No problems ... we lost him
