Small but well organized & stocked store. Be aware that parking is underground & a little tight. You will find almost the same items as in bigger Whole Foods. Suggestion - visit bakery & fresh prepared meals, especially if you're staying in one of the hotels nearby.Since it's Virginia - wine & beer are also present and good variety.

I love this store. It may look small but it will have most of what you’re looking for. Always clean and well stocked. The staff is very helpful. Just know that the parking is underground and a little tight.

They are fancy with a wood fire pizza oven, double cream as well as clotted cream, and a types of Norwegian cheeses. I guess some Norwegians live nearby… with children. Also, the baby kiwi… possibly the most bougie thing I’ve seen except that if you look closer… how do the Chileans spell their country name?

First time visit. They had so Many fresh options, especially with my whole 30 menu needs. The hot food bar is super tempting. Meat options are a little more than I’d like to spend but were beautiful cuts of meat. Parking lot a little tight so slow down.

Went in for an Amazon return and the kids wanted to see what cheeses they had samples of. I swear, whole foods samples are better than Costco! It WAS at the end of the day (like 6:30) so it was slim pickins' but I get it. Everything was delicious as always.

Beautiful store, but the catering service is seriously disorganized. Ordered days ahead for an Easter lunch with extended family, yet when we came to pick it up, they had run out of hams. We had ordered from this particular store, which was pretty out of our way because it was the closest one that was listed as having the order available. Instead of explaining or even apologizing, they just kept saying it would be "15 more minutes," while they apparently drove to another store to get another ham. Offered us free drinks at the café while we waited, but with an hour and a half delay in getting the food, my daughter had to leave for the airport before we got everything back and heated it up.Asked for a partial refund, and was told to come back in person (again out of our way on Easter) with a receipt, where we were then told they don't give refunds, but gave us a $50 gift certificate, which they could have sent by email. When asked what had happened, the manager said they hadn't been sent enough hams. No explanation of why he couldn't have matched the supply with the orders made ahead of time. Maybe they need to watch Seinfeld's episode on why people make a reservation. So, while the food was delicious, I wouldn't trust them to provide for a special event that is time sensitive.

Good variety of organic, gluten-free, natural, etc. products. Good location. Ample parking underground. Good selection. A lot of variety. Self-checkout available.

TLDR: Over three week old "fresh" mussels and trash customer service was all to be found apparently.Except for today, every experience at this store has been positive. My particular issue was with purchasing fresh mussels from the seafood counter. The tag on the mussels noted they were harvested on 8 Dec which is fairly old but when I asked if there were any fresher mussels I was met with silence. The gentleman behind the counter literally just looked at me without saying a single word. I explained that not only were they old but a good few of the mussels were open and appeared to already be dead. Still not speaking a single word, the gentleman took the bag of mussels to the back and returned a minute or two later with what appeared to be a new bag. The replacement bag of mussels I was given was still harvested on 8 Dec and, while I can't say for certain, I think I was given the same bag back just washed, covered in a bit of crushed ice, and minus the several open mussels. I don't know for sure if I was given the old bait and switch but either way if you know I didn't want mussels from 8 Dec then why even bother to give me some if that's all you have? Not a single word was bothered to be said to me this entire interaction which I suppose isn't needed but if I'm polite using please and thank you while speaking in a normal tone I would appreciate the same in return as a customer. Ultimately I won't buy fresh seafood from this location again and I don't think you should either. I'll spend my time and money going to a seafood market down the road.EDIT: Changed from 1 to 2 stars since the owner commented on the review.

Wow. Hadn’t been to a Whole Foods in forever, primarily due to location. This Whole Foods is on my route from work so I was excited to scope it out and enjoy their salad and hot bar for dinner. That excitement soon dissipated. To start with the positives, the salad and hot bar had a variety. Thats all the positive. Even though it offered a variety, it was not a good variety. Many items were clearly sitting out past its time. Some items were out of stock. I was also disappointed there were not too many gluten free items available ( Wegmans does a phenomenal job at providing gf options. WF misses the mark here). Alas, i settled on a build my own salad. After putting together some veggies, i went for the ranch dressing, except, it was completely out. I was frustrated but went with another choice and kept it moving.Thats when my experience went from bad to worse. After paying for my salad i proceeded to find a seat in the cafe to sit down and eat. Only problem was, the forks were not stocked, so i had to flag down an employee. After finally getting a fork, i went to sit down. Except All the tables were dirty. So i grabbed a paper napkin, wiped down the least dirty of the tables and ate an overpriced and disappointing salad. While eating my salad I had the pleasure of overhearing a Whole Foods employee , in their uniform, carrying out the loudest and trashiest conversation on the phone. The employee repeatedly dropped the b word and F bomb. Additionally she kept saying “ meet me outside, meet me outside, imma show you!” It was just wild to over hear a conversation from an employee who was threatening to start a fight.Between a poorly stocked salad bar, poorly maintained and dirty cafe and employees who carry out loud, vulgar and violent conversations, i will take my business elsewhere. The prices would suggest a better quality experience, but that is not the case. It had been forever since I shopped at Whole Foods, and it will be forever before I return.

Always clean and stocked. It's nice that it also has an Amazon desk for you to make returns in. The staff is always very helpful.

I have been shopping from this Whole Food for 15 years now. Last time I visited, I had to go around to find plastic bags. Something that has been missing for months are twisters and elastic bands. My question is, are you telling me the store can’t afford to purchase elastic bands and twisters. Last time I was there couldn’t find any ground beef. I have stopped purchasing flowers because they don’t last as much as they used to last.

the water fountain's filter status has been on red for the past month or more. Also, the tiles in the women's restroom have deep gaps between them so the grout is nasty/bathroom always smells like urine. The locks on the women's bathroom doors are also flimsy.

Ok, biased alert notice up front, I've owned a small grocery store in my past, and my family has several Italian Specialty Grocery Stores in another state. Wow, where to start... layout is beautiful (yes, some jealousy haha but way beyond what I had) well organized, accessible, and great product presentation. What I really like is how like items are grouped together. Well thought pit and executed. Selection: this is a Whole Foods, so you'd expect a large and well-rounded selection of various products, and check that box, it delivers on that. Hot foods: again some jealousy, but clean, well kept, and a very good selection, including vegetarian and vegan foods. From meat, cheese, dairy, bakery, seafood (a personal favorite, being from the NE Ohio area) to general grocery items, you'll prettyich find a quality product. Pricing, I won't get political here as the current economy isn't that great, but their buying power is reflected in the price points from what I see. By all means, take advantage of the Amazon Prime discounts if you have it. I don't have more info, but go online to learnore. Location- parking here is primarily at the underground deck and it's what you'd expect here in the DMV area, bit ovr never had any problems. Associates, very helpful and friendly. Sure, you can find cheaper prices at Aldi's, but the selection here is probably what your coming in for

Oh how I love Whole Foods, but my budget does not LOL. I like coming to this location, produce is always fresh. I also like to come during off peak hours.

I have been shopping at this location for sometime now. While not the best selection, it is super convenient. Yesterday while browsing in the produce section, I noticed a roach crawling over the yukon potatoes. I was shocked! Only sealed items for me moving forward.

Try their fresh kosher cakes. Ask and the employees will help you pick the option that suits your taste and dietary restrictions.

Nice location with a great hot foods section, pizza, sushi, sandwiches, etc. A little thin on frozen goods compared to Arlington. Always a bit busy but staff is accommodating and helpful.

Not as good of an option anymore for plant-based eaters. I went in there to grab some bread 🥖 and sandwich toppings, then found out that they stopped carrying the veganized chickenless salad and tunaless salads I’ve gotten there for years. When I asked why their Prepared-foods dept didn’t step in to fill the gap, their worker said that their corporate overlords do not give them the creativity leeway they used to have to accommodate plant-based shoppers. That explains why there are less and less 🌿options everytime I go in. They also stuffed their vegan jerky in an obscure part of the produce section…on the bottom shelf. Louisville Jerky on the bottom shelf?!??!! I’m sensing a little plant-based sneering going on. It’s not the Wholefoods of the past, it’s time to take our business elsewhere and let the butter-coffee Keto, farm fresh eggs and organic meat people have their store along with their heart disease.

No public restrooms, and confusing signage. Good architecture otherwise. The restaurant looked a bit dirty. Friendly customer service overall.

I had a great experience shopping at whole foods market. But parking is crazy depending on the time of day you go shopping. Other than that, great customer service and people are very friendly and kind.

Want a grocery store upgrade? Check out the Whole Foods Market, they have you covered! Plenty of organic produce, dry, canned, frozen, and bottled goods on hand to meet even the pickiest customer's needs. They also carry a wide selection of fresh cut meats, fish, cheese, vitamins, personal care items and a selection of beer and wine. Whole Foods has numerous ready to go food options for lunch and/or dinner, but try to get there before 5 p.m. or the dinner choices may be drying out, picked over and food containers scarce (that's why only 4 stars). Optios include various hot soups, a vegetarian bar, a meats/fish and sides bar, salad bar with 3 different leaf options, pizza by the slice, rotisserie chickens, deli sandwhich counter, a bakery with individual cupcakes, tarts, cookies, small and large cakes, and various other items. Also if you're an Amazon Prime member you get an added discount on sale items. It's time to eat healthy, get going!

Worst Whole Foods I’ve ever been to. Staff is not knowledgeable about products, some don’t speak enough English to help. Some produce is wilted or discolored. Whole Foods has really gone downhill since Bezos bought it.

Serving Alexandria well! This was my go-to grocery store on a recent leisure trip to the DC area. The selection was great and the shopping environment equally matched.

Love my local whole foods, big enough and have a variety of everything. Ordering ahead has been a saver. We moved into Charles County, MD for a better quality living with space for the kids and I still make the drive weekly to stock up on supplies so it definitely helps with ordering ahead.
