Amazing staff! I was so impressed with how kind, warm and welcoming the whole staff was towards myself and my kitties. The Veterinarian was very genuine and relatable. Her tech was so sweet- and obviously loves animals. The exams were efficient and thorough. My fur babies got vaccinated and didn't seem to notice. Marley and Loki will be back. Thanks again for the great experience!

I’ve been taking my 2 dogs to VCA for years and I am sad to be moving away from them. Every Vet and tech we have ever worked with has been kind, compassionate, personable and thorough. I highly recommend them.

I have patronized this office for almost two years. The last time I brought my dog in I was assigned a vet who was obviously frightened by large dogs. She was incredibly unprofessional and gave off “vibes” that were very uncomfortable. My dog was uncomfortable and I very much was as well. Don’t remember the vets name but she should have a different career as she has no idea how to make animals or humans comfortable. My dog and myself used to love going there but wow I would not recommend this place to anyone. This vet, whose name I will retrieve, was the most irritating, horrible, uncomfortable person I’ve ever encountered. My large dog barked at her and she completely freaked out and just walked out of the room. She needs to be in a different profession. Being a vet means dealing with small and large dogs. This woman was the most horrendous uncomfortable person I’ve ever encountered. I went back for a full physical exam. The vet felt one side of my dog, said everything was good and charged me over $600. She lifted my dogs tail, felt one side of her stomach. $650. They used to be good and patient. Major staff change, I literally cannot stand any of them.I have switched vets and am so happy I did. They are patient, do not put a muzzle on my dog because the vet can’t handle large dogs. Again, this office used to be wonderful and patient. I have not looked up the name of the vet who turned and walked out without saying anything and instructed the tech (much better person) to tell me to come back later. I’m incredibly unhappy about having a muzzle put on my dog, a different vet lifting her tail and feeling a couple spots on her left side and charging me $600. Go elsewhere, you will not regret it.

OMG, I am SO thankful to have found VCA OLD Town! We ended up moving here from Colorado and being referred to a different vet which had horrible customer service. Walking into VCA Old Town was an amazing and opposite experience for us. We left feeling good about being a new addition to the family and with a goody bag in hand. Plus, they give you money off on your 1st visit. Thanks for taking such good care of Milo; he is 6 years old and blind in one eye after a dog attack. So, someone that loves him and gives him extra attention is a winner in our book.

I have so appreciated the care we have received. Presently we have one 19year old cat named Arrow. He has kidney disease and is getting fluids via IV. We bring him in every week. The front desk staff and the animal techs know him by name now. I would like to give a shout out to Edgar who often takes care of Arrow and all the other staff we have encountered. Thanks!

If you are looking for a Veterinarian who cares for your fur baby like family, consider VCA Old Town.VCA Old Town is extraordinary. I can’t express the confidence I have in the level of care, compassion, and knowledge the staff demonstrates. VCA Old Town has taken care of my pets in nearly every situation from wellness exams, emergency care, to hospice care and everything in between. The doctors will not try to upsell you on unnecessary treatments, they provide you with treatment plans including cost estimates, and they listen to your concerns and educate you; they are the type of doctors we long for as humans.The facility is extremely clean and well managed. They’re able to perform quite a few onsite test and procedures. The onsite pharmacy is also extremely convenient and carries a wide variety of medications and food.Per my previous statement, I cannot say enough about VCA Old Town. Give them a call, trust me, your pet is worth it.

Always friendly service. My cat has had a physical here and it's also where I get his special formula food. Only issue is the website seems to be buggy as I've tried to book appointments through it but always get errors.

I was very disappointed about their new policy not to send prescriptions to third party providers like pet meds. They now require that you physically pick up an rx at their office. This means that you must mail it to petmeds-they are not allowed to receive it by fax or email, except from the vet. This is a way to make you buy it from vca, always at a much higher price. A vet must still write the rx,but vca says it took too much time for them to send it to petmeds. Seems like a small matter that greatly burdens paying clients. Jack Cohen

My new pup Bella had an infection of her surgical site from her spay. She had the spay 6 weeks ago and it had not healed by the time I adopted her. VCA did not perform the surgery and thankfully saw us for the first time as an emergency case. They were absolutely fantastic with Bella and got her all fixed up. Bella is also a reactive dog and VCA made sure we had a room ready and waiting when we got there. They even cleared the waiting room. Could not recommend this team more!

I am moving to Chicago condo and they have very strict pet rules. Vca got me in quickly and they were great with my cat❤️ Megan was the doctor 😻

Wonderful experience start to finish. Everyone was kind and fast. Weird because they kept apologizing for taking so long and I’m there wishing my juman doctor would move this fast hahaha. Dr. madera was amazing with my Hyper, anxious 6 yr old dog. He is nice and sleepy after the cheese treats and visit.

All the staff and veterinarians that we’ve seen at VCA Old Town are polite, helpful and knowledgeable. They love my dog and give great advice and treatment. The office is clean and appointment times are honored in a timely manner without feeling rushed in the treatment room.

They take such good care of my boy here. Warm and welcoming when you walk in and their enthusiasm and care they show the pets is genuine. I felt I could trust he was in good hands when they'd take him from the room for his needed services.My only gripe is the parking is just atrocious, but otherwise, it's a fantastic veterinary office, and I'm glad I switched back to VCA from another local provider. I had VCA when I lived in Arizona, where I first had rescued my boy. I'll stick with them from now on wherever I move as long as they have locations there.

Oh my gosh the friendliest people. I called early that morning and begged for a possible canceled time so I could sneak in with my sick doggy. They called me that very same morning with an available time later that afternoon. Every single solitary person working that day were Beyond helpful and friendly. Seriously a perfect visit. Plus I get text messages reminding me of her shots and a great website I can refer to in the event I need to remind myself or do other things regarding my dog's health. And by the way I think we found a permanent solution for my dog's bad stomach thanks to this place.

This place is excellent - I really feel like they care about my pup. They are clear about what options you have for getting into the office and once your there, so you can make the best most informed decisions for your pet. My only complaint is the price of preventative services… but such is life.

I made an appointment for my pup who was not a new patient because she had been limping for some time. Friday she was limping more than usual and whining. So Saturday I called to see if there was any availability for an xray. I was told they only had openings for wellness visit but no x-rays and referred to an animal hospital in my area. That was fine. Unfortunately I could not get her in at the local hospital either, but I knew she had an appointment on Monday so that was fine. Later that afternoon I received a call from VCA Confirming Mondays appointment. I was instructed that she needed to fast beginning at 10pm in order to have an xray done.Monday approaches and we arrive 10 minutes early for our 1130 appointment. About 5 min to 12 we were brought to the back. Dr Gabrielle Evans examined my dog. I was a little uncomfortable after seeing she couldn't work a thermometer. It said low battery which is why it wasn't giving a proper read. The assistant Edgar, was holding Izzys head still so she could get a read. Of course any animal is trying to figure out whats going on so they try to move. She's a friendly girl so she was trying to be friendly with him and he says " this is why I have cat". To me that was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. If you're biased towards certain animals then maybe this isn't the profession for you. After examination Dr Evans proceeds to say all of what could possibly be the cause to include hip dysplasia. But the only way to know is by conducting an xray. I expressed to her that was what we came for, an xray. She says let me go check something and never comes back. Instead she send another assistant in to tell me that they can't do my xray today because they don't have anyone to do it. I expressed my frustration and how I didn't understand if they knew this in advance why didn't they tell me that before I drove from MD to old town. I was told my appointment was not made correctly. The app does not have the option for xray. So I made sure it was put in the notes. Not only that, the assistant that called Saturday afternoon confirmed it and told me she needed to fast. We were there an extra hr only to be told again there was nothing they could do but reschedule and prescribed medication and given the bill. Anyone with pets know appointments are sometimes hard to get and they aren't cheap. So to waste my time coming in for a service they could not provide me with.... Im appalled. We won't be back

I brought my dog here in order to get a second opinion about some skin issues she has been having. I felt like I got more answers here in one visit than the many visits at my other vet. They were very sweet to my dog and I really enjoyed my experience.

While I love the staff here and the location is great; it is a bit frustrating that care club members are regularly not getting procedures covered due to minor nuances. For instance blood work shipped out is covered, but the same blood work in-house is not covered so you’re left with an awkward choice of if you should wait or if you need more urgent test results. Again love the staff and know they are working within the rules of their company. Just wish VCA expanded their club care offerings a bit.

TL:DR: This hospital, Dr MacLean, and the tech Samantha were phenomenal, they exceeded my expectations for a normal vet visit. They were friendly, very detailed on what my pet needed, and answered ALL of my questions!The price was reasonable and a lot lower than what I’ve paid in New York! I’m so impressed with their professionalism, and how caring they were with my dog! I also didn’t feel like they were trying to rip me off by adding-on things that she did not need, they focused on key objectives to keep my dog’s health intact, addressed my specific concerns regarding gastro issues, and provided specific feedback to fix these issues! I can’t stress it enough that as a pet parent they really advocated for my dog! Thankful for this team!

Very professional staff who are very interested in proving fantastic care for our pets. Very clean and well organized with covid restrictions. Mask required and you have to call from your car when you arrive. Staff will come to your car and escort your pet in while you remain in your car. Appointments are on time and they do their best to get your pet out quickly with great solutions for health issues your pet may have. We have complete confidence in the medical facility whose staff treat your pet with the absolute best care. They are a bit pricey which accounts for my 4 star rating. But can you put a price on your pets health care? Highly recommended.

We love the VCA Old Town. Parking is always available, and the practice is centrally located. I loved bringing my dogs in to see their names welcomed on the board at reception. The vets and assistants love your pet and give them great care without overcharging or upselling. The communication, expertise and professionalism they exhibited when we needed the USDA certificate for overseas transport was unparalleled. Highly recommend!!

First visit, just recently moved to the area and my dog was having some issues adjusting. The staff gathered general information and came and got my dog from my car in the parking lot, after the initial exam the vet called me and spent 30 minutes explaining what she thought and answered all questions I had. I really appreciated the time taken to discuss options and offer different plans not just telling me what I needed to do. I felt included and educated about what was going on. They also automatically applied a discount they had going on that I didn't even know about. I definitely will come back, I enjoyed my interaction!

I’ve use their services many times for my dog and my cat. They have great staff that not only know what they are doing but they always love my animals. You can tell that they truly care. I would recommend this vet to anyone.
